Today, multi-award winning British-Japanese polymath Maya Jane Coles releases her eagerly-anticipated fifth studio album, Night Creature, via I/AM/ME. Night Creature is the antidote to our collective recent experience, a slipstream into the alluring world that comes to life after dark. The album includes previously released singles ‘Got Me’ featuring Australian multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Julia Stone on vocals in an incredible first collaboration from the pair, as well as ‘Run To You’ and ‘True Love To The Grave’ both featuring Claudia Kane, which were brought together in an epic queer gothic female assassin short film across two music videos. Step forward Bonobo, Kowton and Dark Sky, who all contribute stellar remixes of Maya Jane Coles' "Don't Put Me In Your Box" EP, originally out in 2011. Bristol's Joe Cowton AKA Kowton plucks for "Parallel Worlds" from Maya's EP to get the once over, opting for a dancefloor-centric re-work. Stripping things right back with big, distorted drums and strobe like percs, the Idle Hands and Livity Sound man affords us with a real sweat soaked warehouse banger of a remix. Dark Sky have been firing on all cylinders of late, releases on Tectonic and 50 Weapons, collaborations with Breach… and their remix of "Something In The Air is underpinned with a rattling 4/4 groove and big subby sweeps, retaining the original's melodic touches.
