Introducing the latest, fresh off the presses, limited edition slab of essential vibes: NIX004. On this one we're proud to showcase our latest artiste: Joonipah. He's our very own geordie, cheeky chappie and the boy done good. As per usual, we're limiting it to 300 vinyl only treats for the world, all carefully hand numbered at our top secret production facility south of London.
Just when you thought you had the Nixwax sound nailed down, Joonipah switches things up on the Trapdoor EP with an A-side that's deep, techy and downright unruly. Let the dance floors tremble under the force of this punishing techno tool. The B1, Gut Feeling, keeps things on a more progressive tip but our boy doesn't let you off the hook that easily. Watch out for the second drop as our boy showcases the new UK house/techno overlap with vibes-a-plenty. Finally, the EP comes to it's logical conclusion with the B2: Downshift. Joonipah really demonstrates his depth as a producer pulling out this subtle, funky banger that takes you in deep. It's clear to see that this boy will be one to watch over the next few months. More

Nixwax is a recently formed record label releasing quality house music from the best new producers that the scene has to offer. The third in their series of limited edition, colour vinyl-only releases comes from Nixwax's first European representatives, Behr. The EP opens with "Camino", a massive slice of Tech-House like only the Behr camp can. It builds to the first drop with a combination of deep chords and live drums before unleashing that vocal. We defy anyone not to get down to this one. The B-side starts with "Blank Sheets", which has a similar infectious vocal hook to "Camino". However, the style is no longer Room One stomper and instead has lazy summer written all over it. This is brought to its peak at the breakdown as the vocal harmonies embed themselves in your mind and on from every listen thereafter, you feel as if you are hearing them, even when they have disappeared. "Monaco" rounds off the EP with yet another solid beat, which pushes and drives onwards and upwards. Behr pull yet another classic switch up though and whack in a keyboard riff that they are proud to say was recorded in just one take and moreover, fits not only the track, but also the EP, perfectly!

The "See It Through" EP is the debut release from Kris Le Vay. The eponymous A side is the most dance floor orientated track, with kicking drums and a driving, melodic bass line guaranteed to get the crowd moving. It's also an awesome headphone experience, with
involved, complex percussive elements that keep the ear interested and euphoric breakdowns that truly pull at the heartstrings. The B1, entitled "Melt", is a cheeky little number that bounces around with plenty of polyrhythm. The counterpoint between the deep bass and twinkling top melody leads to the unconventional, yet mesmerising breakdown. The release is rounded off by "One Hot Ride", which is one hot track! Starting with ominous dark synths that spin themselves into a stomping hip-hop tempo beat, this anthemic rich blend of sound winds itself up from a menacing introduction on an exhilarating journey through a complex and intricate soundscape.
