After time spent whipping up singles for Moodmusic and My Best Friend amongst others, Maurice Aymard makes the leap to the long-player with a selection of jams that reflect his propensity for live instrumentation and thoroughly musical constructs within the disco-inflected realms of house music. As if Metro Area were played out by hand, tracks such as "Home" groove hard on plush live bass lines, poignant Rhodes chords and romantic lead synths. Gui Boratto turns up to chip in to "Colours & Drops" with its more prominent techy backbone, but that's offset by the non-dancefloor roll of "1994". It's a diverse album that provides the perfect platform for a skilled craftsman to explore, er, his craft.

Born and raised in Venezuela, the charismatic Rafael Garnica is releasing his second artist album titled FOOL AGAIN on Galaktika Records from Barcelona. His use of vocals on songs like ‘Love Someone’ and ‘Oh Ko- rea featuring Paulo Olarte’ is a refreshing take on pop song writing, always keeping the underground one step away, he moves between styles and feelings in free form and with great results. ‘No Regrets’ and the lovely titled ‘I Don’t Care About Winning, I Care About Playing’ shows his musicality, while ‘Put Your Hands’ is a genius dj-tool which just perfectly fits the album concept. Also contributing to the great album appearance is the mind- blowing cover art created by well known artist Alex Trochut who already worked with big shots like Arcade Fire and Rolling Stones, and is fitting perfectly the playful, yet very personal style of Garnica. One can say FOOL AGAIN is his bravest release till now, and with today’s standards an album per se is a brave move - we salute Rafael Garnica for creating Fool Again and hope we can soon wait for his next bold move.

Galaktika Records delivers it´s 40th release and what a treat it is. One of the main acts on the label and a true protagonist in the Barcelona electronic scene, Pablo Bolivar is well known all over the world for his quality output for labels like Desolat and Avantroots.. The EP starts with Last Change - a journey thru deep Chicago territory with the immaculately crisp production we are used to hear from Mr Bolivar. Deep but driving house music, this will find it´s place on sundowner sets as well as main rooms. Man of the moment, Jay Shepheard takes things into an 80s flavoured disco landscape with a boogie approach and a massive bassline, this will fire up any floor this summer. Stand By is a building up perfectly with a chugging beat and soft pads, leading a way for a nagging synth line which grows and grows and shows the skills of Pablo Bolivar as producer. The hypnotic Behind Me ends the EP in fine style with a early morning belter, a bit more techy than the rest of the EP, but managing to the keep the deepness with modulating synths, a deep murky bass and monster groove.

Klas Lindblad aka Sasse from Moodmusic is a Berlin resident, although his roots are in the Finnish skihills and lake shores. Now Galaktika presents you the first artist EP from Sasse in the form of 2 original tracks, as well as great remixes from Dosem , Maurice Aymard & Garnica
Save A Prayer relies heavily on a well known disco vibe from the Big Apple, boosted with big beats and a chunky bassline for an floor shaking experience. Maurice Aymard and Garnica tackles Save A Prayer in fine fashion, bringing their South American vibe to it , grooving the night away.
Dosem puts a high gear on, bringing Save A Prayer to the next level with syncpated drums and slamming bassline, this is peak hour if there ever was one.
As a bonus Sasse delivers Do It Well, an old school inspired house tune with echoes from Henry Street and the sound of NYC in 1995.
