Deep Space Orchestra having been forging a nice niche in a modern take on house music, blending, disco, detroit and chicago influences , and here at Tracky Bottoms, we cottoned on to one of there deepest tracks to date Mass illusion about a year ago now ! its taken a while to come to fruition , but the Stolen Future EP is here . Mass illusion it self is probably the track gaining most interest , probably because it has achieved the difficult task of being very deep but also quite anthemic , also featuring on the ep – stolen Future harks back to early Carl Craig vibes , with a ruff ass beat driving the synthy techno , theres a remix of this from label boss Toby Tobias who takes it in a more loopy chicago vibe  and last track Witch Doctor has ethnic hypnotic quality about it , but with some added dynamics by Toby who edits it for maximum dancefloor reaction .

Reports of a brutal massacre have been surfacing from various social media platforms in the last few hours. Eyewitness reports of the aftermath have said “there were pieces of skinny jeans everywhere!” and “the stench of burnt beard hung heavy in the air” Groups known as Y.C.O and D.S.O have laid claim to the attack that is now thought to have been carried out through the use of some sort of highly advanced, possibly extra terrestrial, sonic weaponry. They have responded to the incident with the following message – “The rising hipster population has lead to turgid levels of melodic dilution. In urgent response we, with the help of our other worldly comrades, intergalactic vibe warriors and defenders of the jack - THE DEEP SPACE ORCHESTRA have instigated a cull to reclaim the dancefloors from the chinstrokers, the stationary, the sedentary instafans, handing them back to the jackers, the movers, the freaks and the underground. Y . C . O”.

There's no need to do a big introduction of Deep Space Orchestra. Si Murray and Chris Barker have releases on a number of heavyweight labels (e.g. Delusions of Grandeur or Use of Weapons) and regular guest appearances at club nights and radio shows throughout the UK and rest of the world. Their second EP for Quintessentials is some raw and analogue business topped with the DSO funk! Wolf Music hot shot KRL adds some piano and old school power on his remix and we must admit we're delighted!

Prodigal sons the Deep Space Orchestra return to Foto with the mighty ?Blindsided? track. Starting off with a simple looping refrain and some classic house drums Blindsided develops into big Detroit territory with de-tuned toms and the trademark DSO layered synth action for an atmospheric ride. Definitely one for getting the dancefloor in gear. Over on the flip the two remixes from Medlar (Wolf Music) and another Foto regular Andy Ash are equally as good. Medlar opts for shuffling drums and a dose of the funk whilst Andy turns in a classy bumping electronic workout. Our kind of house music for 2012.

Deep Space Orchestra is the recording pseudonym for a long-standing series of collaborations between Chris Barker and Si Murray, who met in 2005 while watching Joe Claussell and Danny Krivit spin at a Body & Soul night. Their music draws inspiration from classic house and techno as well as film soundtracks, sci-fi flicks, video games and a dark sense of humour.

Deep Space Orchestra are exploding all over the world's speakers right now. Their recent releases on the Zombie Soundsystem label, and on their own new label Use of Weapons, have been blazing in the ears of the house cognescenti. DSO's tracks have been getting support and plays from Floating Points, Jimpster, The Revenge, Michael Rutten, Scott Grooves, and plenty of other discerning DJ's looking for something fresh and sparky in these tired times.
DSO have forthcoming EPs on Kirk Degiorgio's ART label, and on the legendary Home Taping imprint. Good things indeed for Deep Space Orchestra - and now they add Winding Road Records to their portfolio.
The 'Inside Out' EP is a solid package featuring quality tunes from start to finish. Midnight Runner is a heavy plunge into deepest underwater techno, which drives fearlessly forward through a storm of ride cymbals. On The Inside hovers and builds on a single chord, until breaking deliciously into a slinky deep house groove with a plonky bassline leading the way.
On the B-side, The Revenge pass by to deliver the 'Memory Warehouse' remix of 'On The Inside' - a simple and decisive slice of deep dark rave, with all the hot production values we love to hear from The Revenge. Moonrunners, finally, is an organic and musical collection of neatly packed Rhodes keys, piano splashes, trumpets and intense bass notes, and wraps up the package in style.
Another great EP for DSO - and a solid return for Winding Road Records.
Tracklisting:
A1. Midnight Caller
A2. On The Inside
B1. On The Inside (The Revenge Memory Warehouse Remix)
