Gustaph is an extremely talented Belgian singer, the man was born to sing. It's about time one of his songs got some decent exposure. "Same Thing", produced by King DJ, leaves no doubt: these guys are familiar with the work of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Quality 80's stuff made with vintage 80's gear is no less 2011. On the remix tip, there's of course the unimaginable Chicken Lips in the first place. We all love everything these boys have done over the years, but saying so there's no way around the fact that this might be well be one of their finest and most intense moments to date. And that's no small feat by any means. They delivered a full vocal mix that is genuine class. It's a truly epic and intense dancefloor tearjerker of the highest standard, done in a way very true to the origins of what we call house music. This superior sound quality could only be achieved by production based on decades of experience and full analog sound. Wow. Classic. King DJ himself delivers a great "Palace dub" ("kings don't live in a house"...) exclusive to the vinyl, there are Chicken LIps instrumentals for good measure and upcoming Belgian Cook-E delivers a fine balearic mix that's strictly on the digital release.
