We are honoured to have French born and London based Arnaud on the label again as he was the very first artist to release on Warg Records. Arnaud's career dates back to the nineties when he began managing record shops, producing and building what is now a huge archive of knowledge, taste and musical dedication to his name. This release features four energy driven original tracks. The wild baselines and rhythmic low ends bring Warg's idea of techno to life. More

VOLPHONIE is the creation of French based artist Chris Honorat and set to focus on twisted, hypnotic techno grooves, balancing the notion of introspection with dance floor appeal. More

Recovering from the gray decay of the winter here in Berlin, we are more than ready to push forward farther into the future. In order to do so the powers at Chronicle have aligned a new musical offering to test the palate of those who know, and those who care. We are pleased to present six tracks from the prolific Arnaud le Texier, who has made waves for years with his Children of Tomorrow imprint and renowned taste. From cosmic interludes to heavy hitting transcendence, Arnaud manages to showcase all sides of his production skills as they translate into a compelling and emotive narrative. Among them stands a tribute to one who was lost along the way that we simply do not want to forget. Only rarely in this life do we stand witness to gures that make a true impression, an imprint that continues to leave a mark long after the original has passed. Max_M was one of these gures, and it is through his music and immensely dignified curatorial prowess that his legacy will live on. Arnaud’s poignant tribute stands as a personal note amongst an EP full of forceful techno suitable for deep space exploration.

Favouring the potential of techno as a vessel for shock and awe, Curiosity Records emerges with a focused intent and a powerful opening statement with this EP from one of the unsung heroes of French electronic music, Arnaud Le Texier. Having followed his heart throughout his career and always seeking to unlock the creative potential of minimalism in music, Arnaud has traveled far and wide both as a DJ and a producer before reaching this point here, where he heeds the call of long-serving Parisian upstart Skat in providing tracks for his new label. CRY001 stands strong as a testament to the principles that make techno exciting, avoiding the popular trend of industrial brutality in search of a more spiritual message within the intense drum patterns and synth arrangements. On first impressions, “Loudness Contour” may seem to stalk into the realms of functional monotony, but the long lead in is merely a cunning ruse crafted by Arnaud to make the steady crescendo of his track all the more thrilling. By the time the searing synths come flailing in, full submission to the music is the only possible response. “Lowenthal” meanwhile takes a more delicate approach, laying down a soothing bed of dubby aesthetic before building urgent rhythmic constructions on top on a quest towards an unknown destination. It’s a sound steeped in mystery and allure even as the drums hit hard and the bass throbs out relentlessly. If the intention of the label needed to be any clearer after those two tracks, the inclusion of an ambient mix of “Loudness Countour” should assuage any doubts you might have. Embracing the creative fruits that techno has borne in its finest moments, Curiosity is an imprint more concerned with the emotional and intellectual dimensions of mechanical electronic music, letting the ‘hardness’ of the track follow as the spirit dictates. More

Children of Tomorrow back with new Techno EP by Antigone & Rodremix More

Its been a year now since we saw the last release from Children Of Tomorrow. Only three releases old, the French imprint adhere very much to, quality over quantity. With Terence Dixon, Mathias Kaden, Emmanuel Ternois, dOP and D'Julz having all featured on '001' and '002', last years third instalment was provided by Safari Electronique boss Arnaud Le Texier. The success of his "Ingredients" ep, with its accompanying Jonas Kopp remix, saw the label build upon its already glittering array of supporters with the likes of Marcel Dettmann, Mayaan Nidam, Cassy, Kenny Larkin, DVS1, Rolando, Troy Pierce and Ewan Pearson all lending their love over the first trio of releases. So to 004 and again we find Arnaud Le Texier stepping up and this time he's joined by fellow Safari artist Antonio De Angelis as the duo team up to present their "Hybrid" ep. Three choice cuts of devastating techno that range from the intergalactic groove and kick of lead cut "Switchover" to the beautifully deep, string-laden and yet mighty "Bandit", before rounding out with the powerful glitchy sounds of "Hybrid." Its "Hybrid" thats receives the remix treatment from Ryan Elliott. The Spectral Sound and Ostgut Ton man turns in a blistering rework, and whilst the 'Berghain' tag is often misused, the Detroit native's residency at the club makes him the perfect and practised craftsman of the sound.
