For its fourth release INSIST MUSIC label owners Patrick Kunkel and Dirk Redmer have decided to take an old colleague on board. Sascha Barth, who has published among other labels on Terminal M (the label of Monika Kruse), Harthouse ,Circle Music and various other compilations, presents himself with his familiar driving and intelligent tech-house on INSIST 004.? With Daughter & Son on the B-Side of the vinyl, the Freiburg native presents a groovy, playful and impulsive sound that is guaranteed to let a summer feeling arise. Set between classical techno and modern tech-house the title track Daughter & Son points consistently towards summer.?Patrick Kunkel & Dirk Redmer refine their remix with a hypnotic bass line, but then let the track, with its dub elements and the choir parts, drift so incredibly beautiful into the sunrise, that one would wish for an infinite loop.
The Beach with its more playful harmony feeling and percussive gantry gives a first taste of the Open-Air season 2012. In addition to the vinyl, there are two other digital only tracks. In cooperation with Sanderson Dear two extraordinary songs have been created.? Prestigio, bleak but full of feeling, is built up piece by piece and after two minutes opens up to a driving, pleasant tech-house track that is dreamy rounded up with small vocals. The signs indicate it uncompromisingly; the mix is a superb dance floor track.? ? Anti Artica, the second digital only track is a successful techno-like and experimental song. A pumping bass line, a crisp kick and a catchy minimal melody make this song the perfect floor filler.?Overall, Sasch Barth, Sanderson Dear, Patrick Kunkel and Dirk Redmer have succeeded in producing a complete package for every DJ from House to Techno

If it would not be so cold outside, the latest shot of INSISTMUSIC would become an instant party classic. What PING! from Thuringia have delivered this time at least definitely feels that way. The third edition of the Frankfurt based vinyl label presents an intelligent, groovy techno: predictable enough to entrain, diversified enough to pleasantly surprise. The opening track "Depature" marches across the dance floor, picking up the playful dancers with its funky offbeat elements in the beginning and taking them on an ecstatic journey with its cleverly placed breaks.
In the remix by label mate Sascha SONIDO "Depature" catches a touch of tribal techno moving the track with its vocals like rolling sound figures a good bit further into the house cosmos. And there "Depature" wonderfully feels at home, too.
"Steady State Universe", the second composition from PING! takes the listener on a more dignified journey than "Depature". Jazz sound figures combine the elements of electronic music with a hypnotic beat that is looming its way from the ears down to the dancing feet on its path through the body. PING! shows with "Steady StateUniverse" that four-to-the-floor does not always have to be head-on. This is also seen in the Justin Berkovi remix that on the one hand never loses sight of the starting materials jazzy idea, but on the other focuses more and directly on the dance floor. While the dancers are floating through the cosmos in the original "Steady State Universe" getting slowly hypnotized by the beat, Justin Berkovi lays more focus on the obviousness of the rhythm in his interpretation. This one is definitely a number for the prime time.
Those who do not buy INSIST 003 vinyl, but rather download the digital version, will also have the pleasure of getting "Caldera" - a monumental work of pings and pongs mixed with rolling beats, a swirling bass line and an epic break.

Insist Music's second release is a fancy triple: Side A presents Sascha Sonido's track "Tanzania", remixed by Patrick Kunkel and Dirk Redmer. The founders of Insist Music decided to publish their remix prominently and doing so was a wise decision: Their interpretation of "Tanzania" is some kind of real-deal club music that tracks the borderlines of house, garage and techno, paired with a smacking House groove, playful chords and spooky-soulful vocal effects.
Sascha Sonido - DJ, labelowner, producer and booker: The young gun already released cheerful EP's and Singles on well known labels like Kling Klong, Trapez, Flash, Natural Rythm and Plasic City. On Insist Music's new release he presents a collaboration with Swiss Djane and producer Angelica Fravi. These two good friends offer up a pair of brilliantly house tracks: "Tanzania" and "Koh Samui" - presented on Side B of Insist 002.
In both tracks soulful voice matches beats and synths perfectly, taking the dancefloors to a higher level. The second track in Side B, "Koh Samui" takes a more understated, melancholic turn, counterbalancing the ecstatic nature and especially the even more ecstatic interpretation on Side A by Patrick and Dirk, with even more cool groove and very soulful vocals, of "Tanzania". Last but not least there is also a digital only exclusive track - a remix of Koh Samui from Ingo Boss.
