Top disco/house producer Mark E returns to the FOMDO series to follow his mesmeric slo-mo mix of Dead Dance on FOMDO 2. With a huge reputation built upon his masterful edits Mark E took off following his version of R&B Junkie by Janet Jackson in 2007, which became a cult underground classic. He released the acclaimed 2009 EP Codsall Juniors in 2009 before putting out two volumes of his edits and productions last year on his own label Merc. His remix of He´s Alright is perhaps the finest remix of the FOMDO series so far. A slow, layered build up ? typical of the Mark E sound ? is flush with strings and a pulsating 303 bass line. Subtly and sparsely introducing the vocals of the original, E´s remix is a wonderful summer anthem to satisfy both the dancefloors and chill out tents. On the B-side is East-London producer MODE. His debut release Lo-Fi Odyssey in 2010 for Codek Records, which featured mixes from In Flagrant and Pete Herbert, is followed by this second similarly heavyweight 12" release for the classically trained rising electronic star. Building out of euphoric synths He´s Alright (MODE Remix) bursts in to a heavy slo-mo funk groove. The bass line drives the song forward with Mia Mendes´ beautiful vocal hook, MODE´s unique beats and the unmistakeable Azymuth-inspired synths from Bertrami swirl together for another sublime extended monster hit.
