Past Moves III is the final instalment of the vinyl-only series served up by Berlin's ever-well-curated and cultured Sushitech label. It is another essential 12' that packs in plenty of heat from the long-time UK favourite. His records are hard to find and expensive when you do and this collection highlights some of his superbly blended acid, dub, tech and house grooves from back between 1997 and 2004. On this one, you will find a pair of weighty, warm, and dubbed out tech cuts with bounce in the drums and Detroit soul in the pads. Timeless stuff. More

The second part of Sushitech's three-part vinyl-only series looking at the work of Dexter is another 12" doozy. The UK underground mainstay has been behind many cult and much sought-after records over the years and they all fuse obscure dub and acid tech house in smart ways. They were recorded between 1997-2004 and if you can find any OGs then you will be paying upwards of 100 quid for them. This slab has three driving but deep sounds carefully detailed with wispy pads and filtered vocals for perfect backroom deployment. More

All tracks were created using a minimal setup of analog gear, giving them their typical raw oldschool flavour to maximal result; dirty, warm & funky as hell. As a session musician Slikk Tim has worked for many household names of different scenes including Orlando Voorn, Dam-Funk, Kenny Bobien, Grant Nelson & Boddhi Satva. Being a sideman and arranger as well, Tim played in a variety of latin, jazz, r'n'b, afro and soul groups, as an arranger and bandleader he plays in several ensembles , with most notably his jazz-funk project Dopegems. Clone Crown ltd series continues with some Detroit electro funk! For those not familiar with Erik Travis let us introduce him briefly. End of the 80's when Atkins just started his Metroplex label there was another guy doing electro and funk inspired futuristic dance tracks, Erik Travis. Erik Travis released in 1987 as Sound Of Mind the cult classic 'Programming' and some other obscure records fusing electro, 'techno' and rap. Somehow Erik Travis disappeared until the late 90's when he returned with his own label FACT records, and tracks on Databass and Metroplex. Till today he is one of the most unique characters in Detroit just minding his own business, making tracks that sound (quote) 'like no-one before him or after him'. Fast paced vocal electro funk with tracks such as Rollin' Through Time, Techno Drivers that are true classics. Here a new 4 track ep that sounds like no one before him or no one after him!
