Geoff Kirkwood's premier adventure on the inimitable Voyeurhythm Records (his first original outing since his acclaimed LP early in 2015) sends us on a serious electro flavoured journey to future times... imagine hovercraft trains, laser beards and rowboats in charge. Side A's Ruthvern goes in big with some hypnotic peak time acid action, while Wither pushes and builds the rap squelch even further, adding an epic saxophone section lifting the entire affair skyward! Impressive Voyeurhythm debut by Elliott Thomas, straight out of Portland Oregon!! Elliot delivers a journey filled first record. Known for his kick ass live sets in the bay area, camera shy Elliot shows true mastery of his tools well beyond his years. The a side 'Sirius' is a serious instrumental number filled with analogue sweeping synths and percussive Roland drums reminisce of old Recloose and Carl Craig. The b side 'Desert light' has Elliot come to the floor with his own vocals, dubbed out bass and shows he's ready to forge his own style of electronic music. Available in limited run vinyl. TIP! More

Megadon Betamax – as we’ve come to expect from the MegaMax, Falling is all analogue warmth and big bottom boogie love. This mid- tempo track is laced with lush synths, ethereal soulful vocals and a twinge of surf guitar. Dj Raw Sugar goes deep with a dusky, dubbed out remix that will have every head nodding. A Megadon classic from VR002 is revived by Austrian talent LeSale, who turned in a version of He Can’t Love You that couldn’t be ignored. Sweet sweet sweet!

A return to VR from Ben Sun, who delves into deeper territory on the original cut; emotive analogue synths washing over a roland drum groove and a swirling female vocal, all underpinned by a warm, rumbling bassline. The flipside features some heavyweight remix work from the prolific Deep Space Orchestra (Use Of Weapons, ART, Delusions Of Grandeur) and label mate Tyson Ballard teaming up with Vincenzo (Poker Flat, Dessous). Vincenzo and Ballard?s mix is a heavy hitting, moody take on the original, with subtle, dark strings and a growling, evolving bassline, while DSO round off the release with trademark fat drums and soaring melodic synth work.
