Swedish producer Aril Brikha, born 1976 in Iran, migrated to Stockholm at age 3. There he discovered his passion for electronic music in his early teens. Influenced by Depeche Mode, Front 242 and Jean Michel Jarre, and later by Robert Hood and Underground Resistance, he started using a sequencer at the age of 16 to compose his own music - without knowing which musical trend he'd kick off with that in europe: Friends told him his music was Detroit Techno.Still, his sound didn't match the taste of swedish labels at that time, so Aril sent off his demo's to his favorite labels in the States. "Deeparture In Time - Revisited" will be released in celebration of the 10 year anniversary of his 1999/2000 released Album on Transmat. This also kicks off his own label "Art Of Vengeance". Next to the remastered originals of Deeparture In Time, the release features a 2nd CD with 10 previously unreleased tracks that were created between 1995 and 1999. All of them take us on a time travel to the 90ies, with a sound still prevalent in modern productions, as pure as can be. This one's for the lovers of the early Detroit Techno with that unique Aril Brikha twist, and all those who'd like to discover it: One Chord To Rule Them All.

Aril Brikha - She’s My Everything
tehran born, stockholm, sweden based(now berlin) dj and producer aril brikha is no newcomer to the global electronic music scene. since the late 1990ees his genre meltdown between techno and house seduces club music enthusiasts around the world. influenced by all sorts of electronic music - ranging from depeche mode, front 242 and jean-michel jarre to robert hood and underground resistance – his sounds always wind between straight up club tracks and more deep unwound moving arrangements. his new productions listen to dreamy names like “a cautious gaze” or “everything was here first” and get constantly enlarged with melodies, sounds and harmonies that go beyond the usual characteristics of a dance album. the overall touch is ambientish, partly discreet rolling bass-lines call for a physical movement while spherical synthlines drift across deep floating trance territory. an album for dreamers, that love to get lost in a contemporary un-nostalgic musical journey without the dictation to dance. a record that explores an infinite space of sound with a heartfelt human touch delivered in eight slow grooving tracks mixed in perfection. all hand out a moving story arc full of fluid in-the-moment moods who dance around subliminal bass shapes and dreamfully synth pads. you can call it ambient. you can call it trance. whatever you name it, the laidback enthusiasm of “dance of a trillion stars” brings an auditory experience that haunts deeply, gives space for the tones between the tones and prepares all aril brikha fans peacefully for his upcoming adventures for the dancefloor.

Tracklist EP: A1. Definition of D B1. People Mover B2. Shifting Gear
"Definition of D" is a little tribute to Detroit, the city that influenced and later embraced my music in the mid/late 90's. This EP is an attemt to make music that is closer to the sound that I started out making but still different from the old Detroit releases. High tech soul and is hopefully the key here.

The Winter saga continues...
This being the second release on Art of Vengeance, Aril takes yet another turn in style, or rather back to the sound of the Winter EP that was released on Kompakt in 2007. The title track is is a journy in melodies built in layers, trying to fit as much melodies in one track without going over the line. Maybe it is over the line? Tundra is a bit more on the rough side but with arps and chords coming in and out while Glacär/For Minou strips things down a bit to a more bassier and warmer sound with string/chords, less melodies and more groove.

ONE CHORD TO RULE THEM ALL!
Deetron, Octave one & Jori Hulkkonen put their hands on some Brikha classics!!!
In 1998 Aril Brikha reacquainted the world with deep techno soul, as his record Groove La Chord crossed generic boundaries. Is it techno? Is it house? Is it deep house? It's everything and nothing. Groove La Chord is simply timeless. No one was more surprised about the success of Groove La Chord than Brikha himself - after all, he'd originally presented it on his demo as a potential B-side. Two years after he recorded Groove La Chord, Brikha heard it in a club for the first time - Derrick May pulled it out in Chicago. Aril then realised it was a good track. The renegade always walks alone. We are more than proud to present Aril´s own label, Art of Vengeance with it´s first Release (and now listen up!!) the GROOVE LA CHORD REMIXES!
Deetron is the one to put his hands on this piece of classic! Next on Art of Vengeance: the re-release of deeparture in time including a second cd full of unreleased tracks and the much sought after Vinylversion of one of techno´s best albums!!! To be released in January 2011!

Aril Brikha, - Life Like
Poker Flat welcomes Aril Brikha. The Swede‘s 1998 debut ‚Groove La Chord‘ remains a tech house big floor classic and his live-sets have been highly appreciated all the way from DEMF (Detroit Electronic Music Festival) to in-vogue clubs like London‘s Fabric and Tokyo’s Air and Yellow, where he has been playing his take on Detroit-techno with his special spacey soulful and funky flavour. They don‘t come along very often, but when they do, Aril Brikha releases are guaranteed to get people of eclectic musical affinities all under one groove. After his Kompakt release earlier this year, Brikha joins Poker Flat with a welcome dose of hi-end melodic deep techno soul. “Akire” is trademark Brikha deepness. It wins quickly with it‘s emotional and dark dirty bass-line grooves with light sample work and atmospheric build-ups.“Life Like” also follows his unique arrangements - building up softly and tweaking out with strong percussions complemented by subtle kicks and surges, backed up with the synths - making a killer track.“To Beginn” works with it‘s straightforward funky bassline and dry percussion making it a straight-up floor-shaker. Akire is not a simple genre centric house or techno 12”, Brikha has dropped eclectic elements of electronic music, creating weaving warm hooks and spacey disco techno, resulting in his well known vspacious atmosphere.

Repress!
Aaahh, how nice. A long awaited dream comes true. Aril Brikha has made a new record. And that this is being released on KOMPAKT doesn´t make us only very happy, but also a little bit proud. Because despite of Aril´s fame, his output is quite thin on the ground. There have only been 5 releases of him yet. One on Fragile. Two on Transmat. One on Absoluttracks and one on Music Man. Most of them already have the classics status. On this Winter EP there is no new "Groove la Chord", but still: What these two tracks are doing to the dancefloor has scarcity value nowadays: There is a lot of smiling, jumping and kissing. Therefore we give him the order of merit. Thank you Aril! More

Tracklist EP: A1. Uneasy Me. Uneasy Me (Aril Brikhas Sleazy Me Mix) B2. Gymnastics 411
"Uneasy Me" signals the first artist to feature original music on Art of Vengeance. Australia's electronic export, Christian Vance, delivers a title track with both tension and dancefloor romance. Pursuing a restless path, the rhythm and melody come together like an intimate rendezvous caught in the headlights late at night. Drum machine meets synthesizer, unresolved and unrestrained. Aril Brikha's "Sleazy Me" remix resonates the original for a later hour, driving the energy deeper never to see the light of day. The B side "Gymnastics 411" is all about the fun that happens afterwards. Inspired, spirited and a little out of hand.

He got in touch with three independent labels, among those Derrick May's Transmat. His release "Art Of Vengeance EP" (featuring "Groove La Chord") was then released in 1998 on its sister label Fragile.
Now a new star of Deep Techno, Aril Brikha went on tour with his live show playing all over the world, including the Detroit Electronic Music festival and clubs like Fabric, Air, and Yellow, and hasn't stop doing so ever since. As one of the most innovative producers from Europe, he went on to release the clubhit EP "Winter" on Kompakt, more releases on Pokerflat followed. In summer 2007 his long awaited Album follow-up was released by Peacefrog - a classic Detroit Techno / House longplayer, with elements from his previous productions.
