Electric Deluxe proudly presents "Connect" by Echologist aka Brendon Moeller.?This Artist definitely needs no introduction, being hailed as Brendon Moeller, Echologist and Beat Pharmacy for his productions in techno and dubtechno since 1994. His compositions have been released on Francois K's Deep Space Media; Third ear Records, Echocord, Mule Musiq, Eskimo recordings, and Rekids just to name a few. Beside Dub, Techno and Jazz, Afrobeat and Psychedelics are the main inspirations that influence his versatile productions. As with every release on Electric Deluxe there is a story to tell - let's hear it from the protagonists Brendon Moeller and Speedy J themselves. Brendon Moeller: "In 2010 I left behind the comfort of recording music in a home studio so that my family and I could spend the first 6 months of the year traveling. The sacrifice: a pair of Event 20/20 monitors and a 32" screen monitor, replaced by Headphones and a Macbook. The ability to be engulfed in sound and completely shut out any external interference was like standing right next to a speaker stack in Berghain. It was at this point that I began sketching together the tracks that would make up this release. My only goal was that I wanted to make deep atmospheric Techno that could rock a dancefloor. It was around this point that Speedy J contacted me requesting a remix of a Terence Fixmer track. Perfect timing. Upon completion of the remix, I decided to submit this headphone-produced Techno to Speedy as well and voila, the "connect" project was born." connect to…
Speedy J :"I'm very excited about this release, I'm a big fan of Brendons productions, and it's an honor to have him on the label! "Connect" has all the ingredients that I want for an Electric Deluxe release. It's pushing the envelope on all fronts; it's mental, fat, dirty and pounding, and despite being slightly obscure, it's a bomb on the floor! Hummer and Freak both show how diverse brendon is, and together with the wide selection of tools, dubs and mixes, this is probably the most packed release we've done so far!"

Lanthan.audio kicked off 2016 with its third release. Label owner, Christian Gerlach, has already delivered two powerful punches of conceptual techno by artists like Edit Select and Deepbass. This time the South African born, New York based producer the Echologist has been chosen to lead the five track EP.
Echologist, also known as Brendon Moeller, has always demonstrated his passion for hypnotic synths with intense smoky atmospheres. He delivers two original tracks that have then been remixed by a familiar name to the label, Deepbass, as well as the talented Antonio Ruscito. With the original cuts you can expect a trippy journey into metallic loops on a spatial environment of solid beats. The Deepbass remix offers another version of the hypnotic process in ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’ in a more powerful manner. On the flipside, the Italian, Antonio Ruscito delivers two other interpretations of the original track through different paths. The B2 serves us a proper banging synthetic vibe and the last bonus track, which is digital only, is the final trip to an hypnotic and cloudy deepspace. With this package Lanthan.audio continues showing interest on a structural sound with that artistic touch of architecture. Expect to see some more new constructions of they’re new building.

A diamond in the rough. Echologist aka Brendon Moeller is undoubtedly one of the most hardest working Techno artists around the globe and has left a prolific trademark in the electronic music world. His 10th album, Stroming Heaving" floods us with deep emotions and a unique sound experience. Prologue is always looking for new directions of electronic music and we feel strongly that this album fulfills the Label´s pursuit in a extremely exciting way. It will be treasured for years to come. This is music to immerse oneself in and explore sonic depths and worlds of synthetic sound that resonate on many levels . Brendon's intention for this album was to push himself beyond the comfort zone in an effort to make an album that more than any other project he has done will reveal a distinct and unique voice. While it reflects musical ideas from composers that have inspired him, he has attempted to personalize and interpret and therefore create something idiosyncratic yet nostalgic. "The Frequency Of Love", the first track shows us what humans can do with machines. This is the perfect way to start the journey into this masterpiece. It is with pride and excitement that we present this to you. Dive in and enjoy the sound of an artist in full bloom. More

(3LP embossed gatefold cover with printed inner sleeves) Ravaged and warped breakbeats haunted by wailing euphoric noise, vivid and graphic reflections of fractured post-industrial hardcore, moments of poetry flashing within a thick impending fog. This is our soundtrack. A unique and visionary achievement; a wholly origina future of beauty and despair: brutal, gritty, alive and urgent, blooming in the ruins, spiralling and raw, howling with life.

Tracklist:
A1 - Krupp 5 B1 - Dolor B2 - Wute
Short info:
After teaming up with Sawlin to deliver a series of spacy "Texture" works, dubbed 'Foreign Awake Pt.1 & Pt.2', Subjected returns to Electric Deluxe this time in searing solo guise. Known for his thundering, no-holds-barred basement style, which until 'Foreign Awake' was kept purely to his cloistered Vault Series outlet, with 'Dolor' we see the industrial edges polished smooth in this rotund and rolling three-track EP. "Krupp" opens in typical rumbling Vault fashion that builds into a gargled mechanical reprieve and back again. On the B-side, "Dolor" applies Subjected's rusted signature to a groovy subzero bassline and blue-note melody, the EP's duly crowned peak-time lead. "Wute" then
concludes with the sort of venomous hypnotism followers of Electric Deluxe should be familiar with by now, albeit this one has a more scuffed and tarnished appeal. Then for the digital fans, "Zopiklona" presents a slightly cleaner, bleepy bonus track with one killer charged drum crescendo.

Short info:
Over the years Electric Deluxe has become a beacon for established names to test out new projects, and it's with great pleasure we welcome another unknown into the fold. Arad is the fresh-faced solo guise of Dara Smith, best known as one half of Lakker. Together with partner Ian McDonell, the pair have been making music for over a decade, in recent years honing their insidious and deftly idiosyncratic take on techno for labels like Blueprint, Stroboscopic Artefacts and R&S. But whilst McDonell has found the time to prune his own solo career as Eomac, Smith has been fully occupied with Lakker and working as a motion graphics designer. Until now, that is. 'Haon EP' is Smith's debut release as Arad. Bolstered by years of experimentation and experience, and written with the same capricious approach to style that's made Lakker's rise such a joy to chart, 'Haon EP' is a veritable feast of intriguing composition and influences. Opening with the aptly titled roller "Basswave" and screwed-up sounds of "Fourty Four" before flipping over to the staccato march of "Gedup awa dat" and warped Warpness of closer "NCS", 'Haon EP' is one for the headphones as much for the dancefloor, that continues to reward with every listen. Digital bonus tracks "Grand Job" and "Tapper" then show Smith take another turn entirely, proving Arad to be a project definitely worth keeping tabs on.

UPC: 827170574465 Release: 08.12.2014
Tracklist: A - Duality B1 - Double Vision B2 - Destiny
Short info:
Dark and sensual, light yet intoxicating; the sound of DJ Red's Electric Deluxe debut, 'Duality', is so in everyway. With over 15 years experience in residence at Rome's renowned Goa Club, as a DJ Simona Calvani's penchant for sultry, minimalistic techno has finally made its way onto record in the form of this round and immersive three-track EP. A trio of releases for Unpolite Records, followed up by last year's 'Eyes Are Blind' on BPitch, marked DJ Red's entry into production. But 'Duality' sees Calvani command the subtle yet potent timbres that have defined her career so far. "Duality" opens with charged and edgy pads before breaking out into a deeply groovy saunter. Then on the flip, "Double Vision" rolls grumbling bass through a fog of building atmospherics before concluding on an ambient IDM tip with "Destiny". All in all 'Duality' is a brooding listen and powerful entry into the EDLX fold. 'Duality' is the first installment from this budding production force. Expect more compelling dancefloor concoctions to come.

Short info:
"In the universe, there are things that are known, and things that are unknown. And, in between, there are doors."
Having honed a clear and uncompromising sound, which has been flexed across all manner of tempos, AnD return to Electric Deluxe with their first full body of work: a sonic contemplation of the cosmos, woven with all their industrial tropes in tact.
The venomous hats and cavernous rumblings on "Power Spectrum", the caustic squeals of "Acoustic Oscillations" and the anxious pistons in "Gravitational Waves", for example, should instantly resonate with fans of the duo's wanton dancefloor works. But another cataclysmic compilation this is not. 'Cosmic Microwave Background' is a far more composed and calculated affair, which sees the AnD sound assiduously recast into long-player format.
The analogue bleeps of "Particle" and grainy textures in "The Epoch of Recombination" are some of the fluctuations that temper AnD's debut album into a solid listening experience, meanwhile exposing some of the pair's fluid and intuitive working process-with themselves as much as with their machines. Juxtaposing production precision with more freeform composition, 'Cosmic Microwave Background' as an opus is as intriguing and unexpected in its entirety as it's individual parts-for the vinyl collectors, reordered here into a double LP of functional floor material and more experimental pieces.
Not that the album is quite so black and white. There are anomalies such as "Non-Sky Signal Noise" which tread the velveteen grey area in between, with truly rewarding results. On 'Cosmic Microwave Background' AnD have found their door between worlds, and flung it wide open.
The sleeve artwork has been created from a series of paintings by AnD themselves, reinterpreted here by EDLX's own in-house designer Jan Willem van de Baan into a set of industrial-evoking pieces inspired by the sound and aesthetics of the LP.
"Cosmic Microwave Background" will be out on October 20th, serving as the final high point of this year's Amsterdam Dance Event, where Electric Deluxe is hosting a showcase on Saturday in the legendary industrial building Gashouder with AnD finishing off the night.

Tracklist: A - Cosmic Strings B - Photon Visibility Function
Short info:
"Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known."
After a cataclysmic entry into the Electric Deluxe fold, AnD follow up the 'Kundalini EP' with more pummeling dancefloor works on 'Dark Matter'. Over a slew of dancefloor artillery for labels such as Repitch Recordings, Black Sun Records and Horizontal Ground, this production outfit have continued to refine their distinct and menacing sound. Melding steely industrial sentiment with their own toolkit of analogue- fashioned tropes, AnD have crafted an unforgeable signature which has allowed them to freewheel through techno's many tomes-and beyond-without ever straying too far from the mark. It explains why D'n'B nestles with ease amongst the blistering 4/4 material; and suggests there could well be more fluctuations to come. But this time it's a pretty no-nonsense affair. On the A-side "Cosmic Strings" is as delirious as any stone cold Tresor classic. Then on the flip, "Photon Visibility Function" coils dark and brooding atmospherics round the most malevolent concoction of AnD-isms. This one has been made to split the club right open, paving the way for the duo's debut full-length album, 'Cosmic Microwave Background', to fill the void this Fall. Expect more cosmos-themed compositions both of and well beyond AnD's sonic system, due out in October. The sleeve artwork has been created from a series of paintings by AnD themselves, reinterpreted here by EDLX's own in-house designer Jan Willem van de Baan into a set of industrial-evoking pieces inspired by the sound and aesthetics of the EP. Tracklist: A1. Beat To Quarters A2. Beat To Quarters (Giorgio Gigli Variation) B1. The Stranger B2. The Stranger (Voices From the Lake Remix)
Short info: After collaborating with Droid brothers Raiz back in 2012, Jeff Derringer returns to Electric Deluxe with his first solo effort for the label - a solid two-tracker of rigorous dancefloor material we've come to expect from the Chicago resident. Behind the decks, Jeff Derringer is a name well known as founder and visionary of the renowned Oktave parties in the US. And in recent years he has built up a solid discography to match. An impressive debut on New York-based label Subtrak back in 2010 caused Perc's Ali Wells to sit up and take notice. A trio of Perc Trax releases quickly followed, laying the foundations for Jeff's dark and hypnotic style of techno that has since been picked up by labels M_Rec Recordings and Prosthetic Pressings. Jeff's last work with Raiz for EDLX, 'Deception EP', was merciless, robust and went straight in for the kill. And his solo effort, 'Beat to Quarters', is no different. Title track opens with spitting hats and chugging intent before space-blips, ticks and typical Derringer-charged atmospherics storm in. EDLX mainstay Giorgio Gigli then ups the ante on his "Variation" with swirling foreboding strings and muted mutant clicks, turning "Beat To Quarters" into a menacing 8 minute-long epic. Then on the flip, Jeff goes in weirder with "The Stranger". Full of itchy claps, crashes and deep space tones there's plenty here to keep you busy. The EP concludes with a cool and creeping remix from Voices From the Lake - their first outing on the label. Voices From the Lake is of course Donato Dozzy and Neel's much-celebrated experimental project. It's with great pleasure we welcome them aboard

Tracklist: A1. Metal A2. Turbine B1. Metal (Luis Flores Remix) B2. Metal (Pinion Version)
Bryan Black AKA Black Asteroid returns to Electric Deluxe with his most precise and daring invention yet. 'Metal' picks up from where the 'Black Acid EP' left off with more sonic alchemies sounding unlike anything else. The former Prince engineer turned MOTOR front man turned galvanic techno DJ, producer and performer has had an incredible run in his latest guise. Since debuting on CLR with 'The Engine EP' over a series of well-shaped and energetic releases Bryan Black has forged a distinct and unique signature that is tactile, otherworldly and utterly timeless.
Ingenious sound design has become his calling card, while Black's award winning MOTOR heritage never seems far behind. Moments on 'Black Acid' felt like he brought the band to the DJ booth. And with 'Metal' the sentiment rings even truer. This is "heavy metal techno," says Black, "but in a very restrained and controlled way." Indeed the hum of guitars (synths routed through guitar pedals) whirr through lead track "Metal," a taut and punchy workout spliced with token Black Asteroid weirdness. Meanwhile Black gets even more contained on the masterfully metronomic "Turbine".
Droid affiliate Luis Flores and Pinion (Bobby Dowell) then split "Metal" off into its opposing sectors. Flores takes things straight the dance floor, while Pinion ramps up the noise and clangor to turn in a real unholy "Metal" monster. Another must for Black Asteroid fans and for those who like their techno cast from mysterious molds.

Tracklist: A1 - Texture 1.1 A2 - Texture 1.2 B1 - Texture 5
Sawlin & Subjected - Textures - by EDLX's in-house designer Jan Willem van den Ban
Consistent with their music and profile, the artwork for the Sawlin & Subjected releases had to be similarly dark and enigmatic.
Revealing little of what's inside, the cover gives only the slightest hint, but just enough to trigger curiosity. Dark and underground aren't necessarily synonymous with black, so the insides reveal a world rich of sound and colour, step by step.
'Foreign Awake Pt.1' set the tone with a series of strung out, spacy vistas. Three chillingly subtle and pensive pieces, far removed from the pair's usual brew of anxious, distortion-heavy techno productions that can be found on their co-run Vault Series outlet. Using EDLX to step away from the dancefloor a little, 'Foreign Awake Pt.1' saw the Berlin-based duo tap into headier climes using loops and tingling atmospheres with the faintest of heartbeats. 'Foreign Awake Pt.2' picks up the pace, however, with three more "Textures" halfway between 'Pt.1''s ethereal wanderings and the pair's deeper Vault Series offerings. On the A-side "Texture 1.1" and "Texture 1.2" wraps typical Vault tropes with acid-washed melodies and grainy distorted pads, turning two rusty, hydraulic workouts into weirder and warmer dancefloor reliefs. "Texture 5" then, on the B-side, concludes with more yin and yang experiments, pooling 'Foreign Awake''s gentler, dream-like sentiments together with punishing bass, splices of hats and mechanical modulations that keep the reverie in check; a must for Sawlin & Subjected fans, and anyone who likes their techno a little on the stranger side.

Tracklist A - The Jellyfish B1 - Dtadtmat B2 - IcDbYc
If you like your techno bruised and bleeding, you'd have taken note of Manchester's AnD. Over the last few years they've been making their presence known with a series of unbridled releases for labels like Horizontal Ground, Black Sun Records, Repitch Recordings and their own self-titled stable. "Harder" has indeed been the duo's mantra, bellowed stony-faced from the rasping recedes of industrial's brittle outer rim. But it hasn't always been this way. Before the broken bones and caustic, pitch-black tear-outs there's been deep and dubby reprieves, techy dubstep and even washed-out drum and bass on the likes of Idle Hands, Project Squared and Hidden Hawaii all with equaled astuteness. It's clear there's little out of AnD's reach, and they're certainly not bowing down to anyone. 'Kundalini' then, AnD's debut EP for Electric Deluxe, is not something to be taken lightly. The EP opens with a trio of patented AnD-style monsters, cataclysmic techno siblings all venomous and rusted through. It's a dark and unforgiving trail with these guys as drill sergeant, until "ICDBYC" that is. Not quite the calm before the storm, here we have AnD pull back from the bloody onslaught to turn a cleaner, more calculated sort of weapon. Cool and tactical shadow skulking, trimmed with IDM. This one is just as deadly!

Forged in the pitch black recesses of underground Berlin, long-time conspirators Sawlin & Subjected have been making bold, distinct and largely faceless techno from the cloisters of their Vault Series home. Now comes the first in a two-part EP for Electric Deluxe, titled 'Foreign Awake', a much broodier spacy homage than we've yet heard from the pair.
Shying away from usual PR and biographies, Sawlin, Subjected and their third Vault Series member Mørbeck have been making names for themselves on the weight of their music alone. Raw, industrial hues, distortion and chest-caving basslines are some of the tropes that have coloured their anonymous ascension to date. While Sawlin has strayed a little from the Vault camp, Subjected has yet to release elsewhere. Until now. In April Subjected released his debut LP, 'Zero', which channeled his and the label's respected tough and concept-free aesthetic into a fully functioning full length. But for Electric Deluxe they've served up something all together different.
Swapping their usual gung-ho floor artillery for swirling atmospheric vistas, subtle tones and cavernous empty spaces, 'Foreign Awake pt.1' sees Sawlin & Subjected paint chilling, post-apocalypse landscapes in three parts. Deep, dark and dangerously hypnotic, this is Sawlin & Subjected at their most compelling.

Tracklist: 1 Catapult 2 Mesmeric 3 Pulsing 4 Secret Strobe
Back in April last year Hans Bouffmyhre joined the EDLX family with 'Hypnosis', a driving three-track EP and tool package that saw the Sleaze man get deep and loopy. Now the young Glaswegian is back with more heavy hitting slabs of his "no nonsense" type of techno. Hans Bouffmyhre, real name Stephen Gorrie, is definitely one of the harder working twenty-somethings in the scene today. Since turning to production in 2007 he has released a frightening number of records for labels like Perc Trax, Viva Music, Soma, and 8 Sided Dice; all the while keeping abreast of a busy gig schedule and manning his just as prolific Sleaze Records. In that time his discography has coursed through techno's many variants, but minimalism and a purest aesthetic have remained steadfast traits throughout. On 'Catapult' Gorrie plays to his strengths, turning in four blends of tension-building techno crafted with all the poise and subtleties we've come to expect from him. "Catapult" is the EP's teasing opener before Gorrie plunges ever further into the aching, growling belly of the beast. "Mesmeric" is as it's name suggests, heady hypnotism in it's wildest form. "Pulsing" slams 'Catapult' into sweaty peak time with pistons and alarm bells, leaving "Secret Strobe" to keep this dystopic party marching well past dawn. We said 'Hypnosis' was dark; 'Catapult' then is verging on evil.

Tracklist EP: A1 In Chains A2 Subspace Two B1 Bells
It's been over a year since the Planete Rouge graced our fair roster, which is why we're pleased to welcome Terence Fixmer back into the EDLX fold with 'Bells'. This is the fifth stand-alone EP from him for Electric Deluxe, on top of his last LP 'Comedy Of Menace,' and offers three more exquisite samples of what the techno veteran does best. Almost a counter-point to Fixmer's last EDLX release-the dubby, warmed through 'When The Sun' EP-'Bells' is a homage to the pitch black dance floors of the night, with all his hypnotism and industrial hues in place. "Bells" opens right in the thick of it, with alarm knells and viscous vapours swirling round a lasso loop that will hook you until sunrise. "In Chains" is it's raw cousin-just as dark, unsettled, and riled with analogue sounds. But as midnight begins to dip into eternity, closer "Subspace Two" offers up a lasting sunny reprieve. The EP ends on a serotonin-soaked moment where dub, techno and house close their eyes and sway as one. 'Bells' is a versatile record, which sees Terence Fixmer cater for every nocturnal occasion.
