In the eighth release from Detroit­based underground techno record label Blank Code, Audio Injection provides three well­crafted tracks in the style he's become widely known for. With this EP, Audio Injection cements himself as a cornerstone of Blank Code after previously offering up a remix on BCR001 Mutate Circle 1 & his original version of Null on BCR005. The EP begins with "Recall" delicately textured, pairing a subdued, shaker­driven percussive line with glowing background drones. The B side of the vinyl starts off with "Open Air," a big room techno track that bounces along with a slightly distorted kick and pink noise hi­hats that frame a quick sine­wave bleep bassline. "Outburst" continues in this same style with a heavy­weight kick drum offset by a short synth whine and a selection of ever­changing hi­hat patterns that drive the track's energy. The natural­sounding reverberations of the kick drum on this track bear an uncanny resemblance to the acoustic behavior of Blank Code's home venue, The Works, giving the track a distinctive sound that effortlessly aligns with the label's roots.

MODZ is the highly anticipated collaboration between Dustin Zahn of Minneapolis' Enemy Records and Berlin-based producer Material Object, fresh from a more subdued collaboration with Pete Namlook.
SIGNALS begins in dark territory with the pulse of an alien telegraph, but after a minute of tension the track screeches into collision with with a 10-ton kick. Attentive sound design and a growing, hypnotic pulse slowly craft a detailed environment fit for the largest of systems.
PROMOTION OF VICE jumps straight into its main rhythm, proceeding with expertly placed embellishments, ebbing the track in and out of intensities and moody environments.
PREVENTION OF VIRTUE picks up the pace and expands on some of VICE'S themes, opening the track to a wider sound and an equally wide appeal for the dance floor.

First pressing LIMITED white vinyl+limited screen print covers. 300 only. 300+ will be black vinyl in standard jacket Luis Flores’ upcoming New Flesh EP is the Mexican producer’s second release for the American powerhouse techno imprint: Droid Recordings.The title track, built around the "new flesh" vocal sample from cult horror movie: Videodrome, is a dark, trance inducing affair, constructed around the soundscapes the modulated voice renders and the subsonic groove that identifies Flores’ productions. Drumcell pushes the track into deeper, darker territory, showcasing his mastery of modular synthesis, and delivers a hypnotic experience which seamlessly carries the listener from beginning to end in the most organic fashion. CLR mastering resident, Brian Sanhaji, dramatically transforms the piece into a screeching industrial monster, armed with relentless drum work which takes full advantage Sahhaji’s sound expertise, resulting in a wall of sound that demands the listener’s full attention. Flores' B title: Excision, completes this release with an adrenaline-fused take on the Droid sound. Driven by a rolling bassline, the track propels the audience through a tense, paranoid journey, riddled with metallic vocoded voices and synths and a wasp-like sounding shaker that keeps anyone listening, ever on alert. Mexican techno veteran Luis Flores makes his debut appearance on the Droid Recordings label with Dain Brammage. As both an artist andmusical catalyst, Luis has shared many ideals with the members of Droid. After many years of pushing progressive concepts that are both innovative and non conforming, Luis has developed his own production style that is precise, hypnotic, and maintains a healthy degree of dance floor groove. His title track is a deep journey into psychedelia and unearthly bass. Brammage contains only a few essential elements, each tripped toperfection. Sparse eerie vocals carry nicely along the 6 minute sequence. Flores' inside track "The Call" is a slow and steady builder with dark subtle vibes and crisp hand claps. At four minutes Flores' introduces a rippling synth gate that trips listeners deeper into submission. Very heady, very essential.

Sultans of the LA warehouse sound Audio Injection and Drumcell keep up with the sharp series of current droid releases on cell injection. already on the permanent playlists of heavy weights speedy j, adam beyer, richie hawtin, and paco osuna, droid's primary production group deliver consistancy for quality seekers. the original mix is a well paced pristine production, with super stereo percusion, and subtle space verbs building up to a smooth yet effective break down. acid circus still jacking, sheds a new skin on this deep phase remix of the orignal. this unique rendition pumps out a coma enducing saw wave. heavy verb washes fill out the sequence and a solid drum track provides the thump. a flanged break builds
the rhythm up to a quick breakdown before slamming the dancefloor back to reality. NY export tim xavier strips the heavy layers from his mix but retains the breakdown for max effect. perfect for ambigious mood settings and also works as a transitional track. tony rohr sticks to whats true and takes the best elements of cell injection while adding a throw back bassline for hype party moments. true analog tribute

Analog God starts off with a sharp rimshot / snare combination then adds just the right amount of Tresor style synth menace for a viciously addictive groove that doesn't stop kicking. Droid recordings returns with a collection of west coast producers. Drumcell and Acid Circus, 2 staples of LA's underground night life, deliver the original tracks with tweaked out remixes by break out artists [a]pendics.shuffle aka Ken Gibson (Mo's Ferry) and Jason Emsley (Platzhirsch Schallplatten, Telegraph). Drumcell delivers serious mental minimalism with the lead track on side A: brain.rek. Crunchy percussion cuts thru the mix while dark acid blips surround a nasty bass heavy groove resulting in a well paced track perfect for any situation. [a]pendics.shuffle of adjunct/mo's ferry fame flips a tripped out remix with glitch inspired edits, super stereo low end and dark acid blips transformed into pacman zaps. His complex yet subtle sequence further proves his ability as a seasoned top notch music producer. Flip the record over for a stand out track by Acid Circus. Minimal.junk, with its crisp snares and upbeat bassline, is the perfect minimal groove to carry dancefloors throughout sonic nights. Jason Emsley's mix of minimal.junk has solid low end to move that low end. More technical grooves on this one for the music heads but funky enough for zoned out body movers.
