2oz Vodka
1oz Yuzu juice, preferably freshly grown in your living room. Accept no substitute
1/2oz Agave syrup
Egg white for foam
Soda water
1 drop of bitter
Shake the yuzu juice, agave syrup, vodka and ice.

On one side you have a focused disco burner that works some flamboyant chops of vocal over sharp guitar licks while keeping the groove simmering at all times. For almost as long as there have been DJs, there have been DJ tools: Bonus beats, acapellas and ambient overlays have long been the stock in trade of selectors interested in more than simple crossfades from outro to intro. But back at the beginning of 2007, Luciano put a new twist on a triedand- true idea with No Model No Tool. The inaugural release on Cadenza Split Composition, a sublabel of the iconic Swiss imprint, No Model No Tool revitalized the recombinant concept, offering DJs a selection of readymade miniatures that worked like sonic building blocks—oddly-shaped bits and pieces designed to be stacked and shuffled to the DJ's delight. In retrospect, it was a prescient move: the past few years have seen a resurgence of interest in layering, looping and Lego-like play, thanks to the rise of CDJs, Ableton and Traktor/Serato Scratch. And now, at long last, Cadenza Split Composition returns with another grab-bag of toys and tools designed to inspire. CSC02 showcases the architectural talents of Alexkid, a veteran of the French electronic scene and staple of Laurent Garnier's F Communications label, who delivers a set of origami blueprints that practically beg DJs to get their hands dirty. The A- and B-sides serve as the twin foundations: Both "El Cinco" and "Mocco" offer loose and lanky rhythms, rich with crystalline details and crusted with dubby delay. The chugging "El Cinco" might remind you of Wolfgang Voigt's classic studio 1 project, while "Mocco" follows a corkscrewing groove through a psychoacoustic hall of mirrors, all face-melting harmonics and throbbing oscillators. Both cuts more than hold their own as standalone tracks, in fact, but the second vinyl offers ample opportunities for more mischievous mixes. On side C, "Instrulentro," "Lampara" and "Fosforo" are oozy, woozy drones, reminiscent of a seasick Subotnick, while "Sheiker" coaxes supple, unquantized rhythms from a disintegrating gourd. Side D, meanwhile, pops the top on a bottle full of spirits, unleashing eerie whistles, Banshee sighs and lilting female vocals. Recalling the Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) of early 20th century ghost recordings, they turn these easygoing grooves into something approaching haunted house.

A joint effort between Prins Thomas and Word And Sound- The idea behind the label is to put out good music and not limiting ourselves to stick with a specific genre, instead opting to stay fresh and individual with each release going in every direction we feel. We're gonna be highlighting new talent, re-releasing some lesser known nuggets and certainlly give you some dancefloor killers along the way to. From japanese techno to California kraut : ) just the way we like it...for INT005 we bring you a slow house chugger in the form of "Break the barriers", done by malaysian born and Berlin based Frankie Flowerz. I have to say, it's not by choice I decided to put this track out but a calling... upon hearing this track in Frankie's myspace player I knew I HAD to put this out over 12 inches in full scope... I spent some time trying to come up with the perfect match for remix duties and I think we've succeeded with the choice of man of the moment(and soon to be "legendary")John Daly of Galway who turns in a slightly faster, darker and a bit dubbier affair... sooooooo good ; )

A joint effort between Prins Thomas and Word And Sound- The idea behind the label is to put out good music and not limiting ourselves to stick with a specific genre, instead opting to stay fresh and individual with each release going in every direction we feel. We're gonna be highlighting new talent, re-releasing some lesser known nuggets and certainlly give you some dancefloor killers along the way to. From japanese techno to California kraut : ) just the way we like it...for INT005 we bring you a slow house chugger in the form of "Break the barriers", done by malaysian born and Berlin based Frankie Flowerz. I have to say, it's not by choice I decided to put this track out but a calling... upon hearing this track in Frankie's myspace player I knew I HAD to put this out over 12 inches in full scope... I spent some time trying to come up with the perfect match for remix duties and I think we've succeeded with the choice of man of the moment(and soon to be "legendary")John Daly of Galway who turns in a slightly faster, darker and a bit dubbier affair... sooooooo good ; )

Have you ever experienced the empty spaces of Ghost City Detroit? They inspired Sten aka Lawrence to this hypnotic 12inch- three versions of "Squares". The deep techtunes can be regarded as an hommage to early Derrick May tracks, Heath Brunner and all Detroit Techno Bunch from back to now. Functional Grooves from the Roland Machines on a melodic soundcarpet plus the mighty Detroit string section- this one is made to dance, eyes closed, the heart open. Peter M. Kersten aka Lawrence / Sten launched the dial label in 2000 together with his flat mate and dj friend Carsten Jost. In 2005 he released the record store and Label "Smallville" in Hamburg St. Pauli with 2 friends. After releases on Ghostly International, Cocoon, Mule Electronics, Kompakt and Sender a new Album - Sten "The Essence" will be published on Dial Records in May 2008.
