NYC's Adultnapper hardly ever lets his foot off the gas... and this is no exception! Straight back into the driving seat and ready to roll with his next EP for Poker Flat Recordings, ‚Slowly' is a typically spooked out 2 tracker from the East Coast's master of the dark and funky arts....
Lead track ‚Slowly' is full of the type of crazy textural soundscapes that have become synonymous with Adultnapper's bass infected sound. Winding, twirling cables and messed up electronic whir away in the background as a stoic kick-led percussion array works the funk. Jazz influenced hooks, sultry vocals and horns-a-plenty, it all makes for an incredible workout!
Gold and Forgetting' is a touch more mysterious, with a floating Chicago-esque synth theme at its tender heart. Of course Mr. ‚Napper still piles on the funk, and this amazing afterhours anthem to be wins us over hands down. Emotional strings swathe by over a meandering 9 minutes of pure and precious metallic sheen.

Adultnapper's original mix of "Monitor" is a minimalist, atmospheric house outing with warm, evocative piano chords. Percussive and synth soundscapes wash over the groove adding a stylish textural dynamic. Conversely, MKL Vs BGSS (members of the group Brazillian Girls) step onto the scene with a live, organic funkafied jam that steps skillfully through afrobeat and retro disco/funk territory without missing a beat.

Adultnapper - White Fingers Black Hair
NYC‘s Adultnapper has built a reputation for himself that not only commands respect for his highly evolved production skills, but also for his unique musical visions that steer him down his own unique path. Not interested in following the current pop-trends, Adultnapper turns in a freaky two tracker using a sharp, modular and timeless electronic sound palette. ‚Almost Nothing‘ is a complex and reduced spacer that features wonderfully processed drums and endless tweaked out studio trickery. Haunting smatterings of melody, synth texture and paranoid-funky vocals drop in and out of the mix as this deep acidic groover charms you from the inside. Poker Flat regular Patrick Chardronnet provides a wicked remix that begins along the same reduced, textural tip as the original, yet builds into a breathtaking organ led harmonic climax. Dramatic, uplifting and main-room friendly Chardronnet‘s remix opens up the spectrum once again as Audiomatique continues to surprise. ‚White Fingers Black Hair‘ is the B side jam from Adultnapper. A skipping, similarly complex and meandering groove is jacked up with some dirty hats and a playful synth theme that revolves around the track, amongst building strings and gated snares as its freaky climax is unveiled. Super, off the wall stuff from NYC‘s chief mindwaper himself!

Adultnapper - One Room (Gregor Tresher Remix)
Fresh from his own stunning Audiomatique 2.0 mix, NYC‘s leader in hi-tech mindplay, Adultnapper, brings us more of his dark and addictive electronic funk! Two more brooding cuts await in the shifting shapes of ‚Madeleine‘ and ‚One Room‘, alongside a pushing, bouncing remix from Germany‘s own Gregor Tresher. Having already featured as a sneak preview on his own 2.0 mix, and teasingly mixed together on Steve Bug‘s Bugnology 3, the full version of ‚Madeleine‘ is now available. Its a cooly focused, dark, yet somehow sweet grind of the sort only Brooklyn‘s master of the black arts is capable. A tough percussive house grind slowly gives way to twisting wires and electro-acoustic energy as a strangely catchy theme is constructed from spooky broken stings and ghostly junked pianos - freaky yet decidedly fresh... With a little more light creeping in through the windows, ‚One Room‘ illustrates perfectly those special daybreak moments, where night stretches its rested limbs and rubs its tired eyes,
slowly morphing into day. The mode is continuation here, as if Adultnapper has captured us at his own special after party, and this is the soundtrack. Its a complex, jacked and blissfully melodic jam that is indeed versatile, but cries out to be played at sunrise! Gregor Tresher has risen to notoriety of late thanks to his impeccable song-writing and arrangement skills set alongside big-room club mechanics. Releasing hits like ‚A Thousand Nights‘ on Great Stuff or ‚Panchakarma‘ alongside Monika Kruse under their GTMK guise on Intacto, the man simply knows how to work it! His remix of ‚One Room‘ holds nothing back, and transforms the original‘s gentler sentiments into a peak time, bouncing techno treat. Skipping basslines and delayed micro-melodies surround us in a wave of unmissable energy.

Adultnapper - Juror No. 9 (Gaiser's Found Guilty Remix)
Welcome back Francis Harris aka Adultnapper with his second EP on Audiomatique! With it‘s stoic bassline and the freaky synth sounds the title track „Juror No. 9“ builds very subtle and creates a dense almost claustrophobic atmosphere. Tight drums, a hypnotic melody and sick sounds don‘t let you go off the hook. Massive tune. With its devilish vocals, freaky sounds and a dirty bassline „Brandy McLeod“ on B1 is even darker, but same as „Juror No. 9“ still fresh and and a dancefloor weapon. On B2 Jon Gaiser completely blows the roof off with his his „Juror No.9“ remix. The M_inus artist who is just about to release his debut album is indeed found guilty like Phil Spector for having abandoned most of the synths of the original and inducing a percussive minimalistic rhythmconstruction which turns the track into a highly intoxicating floorfiller. Huge!

delusional machinery of everyday life blindly stretches the forces that shape our lives into an asinine periphery, an ultraviolet fantasy for weak minds, nature has only a fleeting sufferance for the reversal of its involuntary movements. Maxwell’s Demon is not just a mathematical proposition, it is alive and kicking in the beige strip malls, sweaty megaplexes, and vertiginous mini golf parks of class optimism. As the ordered penchant for division increases, paranoia proliferates a thousandfold, and in this constant state of implosion the laughably purposeful complexities of human machinery reveal themselves as a collective sublimation from matter organized under the sign of a smoking gun. Adultnapper lays down a fresh original mix and mastermind Alexi Delano cleans and tightens the cut.

Adultnapper - Fodder Feeder

Adultnapper - Slothrop
The Adultnapper is Francis Harris from Brooklyn, New York, a shrewd & clever coeval who reveals his vision of modern electronic dancemusic on his first EP for Audiomatique entitled "Gravity EP". Following releases on his Matter:/Form imprint, his track "Choose" has recently been included on the much acclaimed Audiomatique Vol. 1.0 CD. Now the Gravity EP holds three new cold twinkling Techno tracks. The well-read producer carefully chose the tracknames which refer to what he considers as greatest novel of the 20th century: „Gravitys Rainbow“ by Thomas Pynchon. Much of his relationship with music coincides with his love of literature. When he is working on tunes, he tends to have a specific project or concept in mind. At the time, he was thinking of some specific moments in the novel and this music came to mind. The first track an the a-side named „Fodder Feeder“ refers to the material production of knowledge in media and capital, a feedback loop of control that works in its apparent flaws and mistakes. If one notices, the main synth that comes in is a bit odd and almost out of time, but works in a grinding sort of way. „Metabulia“ on b1 is the living organism that is no organism at all. Just the illusion of humanity as projected by the fodder feeder (the word doesnt even exist). And „Slothrop“ on b2 is actually the main character in Gravitys Rainbow. Now you know
