We thought so highly of Kai's freshly original "Gakuon EP" on Alphahouse Records that we decided to commission a special remix EP from long-time friends Butane and Dandy Jack to appear exclusively on vinyl.  Now Kai sees his original material transformed into 2 new pieces, each mix utilizing sounds from all three originals to craft a "mega mix" package faintly reminiscent of the mutant funk of the original work, yet undertaking life of it's own via the hands of these two techno heavyweights.  After their trip to Tokyo together to play at the infamous Real Grooves party, where the two performed together a now-legendary afterhours set, they came back to Europe and set out to use this Eastern inspiration to create a lasting EP for vinyl collectors.  Sharing some of the dry percussion and mono-tone synthetic sounds from the original work, Butane delivers a spacious and grooving slow burner for the sunrise sets on rooftops around the world.  While Dandy Jack morphs Gakuon into a futuristic electro trip through the back alleys of Shibuya.  Sugoi!

The third release in the Limited series from Alphahouse brings a special project to vinyl for your listening pleasure. Licensed from Foundsound Recordsings, we’ve commissioned two remixes of Someone Else’s hit track ‘Bedroom Eyes’ On the A-side we have a remix from Alpha master BUTANE. The original was quirky charming dancefloor jam and fittingly, Butane stripped away the nice thoughts and replaced them with eerie wailing sinewaves and gutteral grunts. It’s suggestive vocals, sparse wooden percussion and punping basslines will push the track deep intoo the night on the dancefloors of the underground clubs everywhere. On the flip FUMIYA TANAKA treats us to a master class in minimalism with his rendition. A veritable lesson in sound design & abstract rhythms, this tracks is not for the uneducated dancefloors of coked-up commercial-minimal-electro-tech-house-fashion-victims, but more in tune with the Sunday night music-heads “check out THIS b-side” party.
