Cassio Ware digging back into the past for this new cut on on Dope Wax. As usual, Kenny Dope is the man in the mix, with the classic vocal from Chip-E's "Like This" pitted against the bassline from ESG's classic, "Moody", and some quality synth lines on an old school gem of a track for the house crowds to drool over. Kenny takes first crack at his own track, taking the track deeper than the original via some rich new chords and a warmer bassline, whilst keeping that great vocal from Vee intact. MAW partner, Louie Vega, chips in with a great edit that is designed more as a DJ tool than a full-on track, provding a great breakdown for the professional jocks amongst you. On the flip, Terry Hunter serves up 2 mixes, with the first taking a very similar route to Kenny's, adding some great new keys, along with more uptempo beats, and a subtle flute line that floats throughout the mix. Last up his "reprise" mix, which is, again, more of a DJ tool. Vocal late night house at it's finest from the MAW camp.

"I Got Rhythm" leads with the kickdrum (think "Iko Iko" given a house touch) and then a soulful vocal from Vee drifts over the top, while lush chords and a subtle bassline complete this late night groover. On the flip, the "Ritual Mix" fattens out the bass and kickdrum, and lets the vocal drift more into the back ground, letting newly added percussion come more into play on a slightly tougher take than the original.
