Another banger from Everton Chambers' awesome late '80s run with Parish. Like some of our other Parish releases this is right in the early digi sweet spot, with a great uptempo rhythm and sing-jay story telling lyrics. This is a long time personal favorite of its era, and better still is that this issue is in pristine quality from master tapes, and unlike the original press, features the correct dub version. The original unfortunately had a pressing error where the wrong version side was used, and the correct version was mispressed on the flip of another unrelated tune (shout out to all the soldiers who hunted down the version side over the years!).

Back to back NYC underground classics, now combined on one killer 12 with full picture sleeve just like the original. The A-side is awesome raw slow burner boogie, the B-side is haunting melancholy roots on a well loved early Roots Radics rhythm. Top shelf sounds for two moods.

Much needed single reissue of Little Roy's all time classic, previously featured in vocal only on our Uprising compilation; now here w/ its original dub, from master tape. B-side features more previously unreleased master tape madness from the 12 Tribes maestro Pablove, with an instrumental cut to the Orthodox classic "Reaching Our Goal", followed by the infamous dubplate only synthesizer cut to Black Star Liner, "Kissinger in Africa."

4 track EP of dubplate mix style dub cuts to tunes by Junior Moore, Pam Hall and Hopeton Lindo.
'Atlantis Dub' is the original 1979 mix, the other three tracks are new (2025) mixes in a raw mix dubplate style a la the Music Works dubplate mixes of the late '70s/early '80s.

A little something out of the ordinary for DKR here, a four track dub 12" featuring one old and three new mixes, the latter done in excellent faithful fashion to the sound and Music Works dubplate style of their time. Junior Moore's "Atlantis" is one of our favorite Gussie tunes, very underrated and under the radar. We love the dub mix from the original 1979 12" release, so it's included here. For the other three tracks, these are new mixes done from the original multi track tapes, in faithful style to the way they would have come on dubplate for sound sytems, right out of Gussie's original Music Works studio on Slipe Road. If you like the spare, raw drum and bass style of the Taxi label material we've released, or the early '80s sound of Channel 1, these mixes will be right up your alley. These two early Hopeton Lindo roots tracks should be familiar to hardcore roots heads. The Pam Hall is another sleeper cut, a dark lovers take on the Stylistics' soul classic, which gets harder and moodier when stripped back like this - indeed some raw rhythm cuts of this one were played by sounds like Jah Shaka.
