Luca Durán - FDT
Building up from his multiple appearances on the label, one of our closest producers, Luca Durán, makes his full studio album debut on TraTra. This work is meant to showcase the vast world of influences the diasporic experience comes with: his rhythm-driven tracks coexist in high contrast, but fluidly, with the experimental and textures of his european school of sound. The title itself works amongst these two edges of Luca's aesthetic existence, the softness from the flight of a Mariposa with the harsh hit of a death blow.
Killing Mariposas is filled with seemingly clashing techniques, field recordings, acoustic instruments, and analogue synthesis, which converge with modern and forward-thinking production tools to build heavily layered music. Constructing an emotional narration from the contemplative to the euphoric. A sort of contextual shapeshifter, with hints of cumbia, grasps of reggaetón and dembow, but always submerged deeply in a windy and fragmented memory.
This whole project gets rounded up by the packed lineup of collaborators, both vocal features and production partners. Astute minds from distinct internet niches: Kelman Durán, Gavsborg, Iceboy Violet, Debit, Rosa Pistola, BEBE YANA, Kamohelo & Kacha.
One true reflection of Luca's production abilities and sonic poetry.

A lovely surprise here by Luca Duran (aka Look Like) who is following up a series of stellar EPs with his first solo album. He embarks on a wide-ranging electronic journey throughout 'Libertas', an intrepid sonic exploration of the concepts of freedom and independence, two hallmarks of his already diverse studio work. The uncategorizable Swiss-Colombian producer is releasing his debut album after a period of creative metamorphosis, during which Duran's musical output evolved from the dextrous house, techno & electro of earlier releases under his original production moniker Look Like. From summer 2019, Luca began releasing solely under his own name and his style has now grown beyond the traditional dancefloor genres of electronic music to encompass influences from post-punk and IDM. Seeking to sonically explore and reflect on concepts of liberty and autonomy, Duran, like all of us, was soon faced with a lockdown of a very different kind. The result is 'Libertas', an extraordinary album written and produced across 2020 and under equally extraordinary, world-changing circumstances. Engrossing, imaginative and political in the tradition of electronic music's innovators, 'Libertas' mixes Latin philosophy and futurist techniques in order to create something distinct, future-facing and never less than thoughtful. Beautiful and versatile release!!

This one means a lot to us. A project we’ve been working on for a couple of years. One where we hand over the curatorial keys of the label to very specific artists in whom we have absolute trust and who have an almost academic knowledge of a specific rhythm or a specific region where our eyes and sensitivity cannot reach. In order to amplify powerful voices from the global south, where the true underground is happening today, and that move away from the traditional axis of New York, London, Berlin. We present to you: Mzansi Bass curated by Shannen SP.
A project meant to explore the space between 3-step, Gqom, the dark sides of Amapiano, and mutations of Pritori rap deeply rooted in Black African rave music from the local scenes of Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Eastern Cape, and their global mutations from Brazil and the Netherlands. The project is anchored around the legacy act of DJ Lag and new comers of South African bass whose music has broken international barriers with pure-emotionally-rich dance music. The release works as both a celebration of the roots and the future offering it projects. As Shannen puts it, it's electronic music with a futuristic feel, both raw but minimal, trance-inducing and deeply physical, built in a very particular geographic space for the whole world to enjoy.
Indulge into this special soundscapes crafted by their own inhabitants. Expect a couple each year from now on.

Lechuga Zafiro - Desde los oídos de un sapo
Desde los oídos de un sapo
We are very excited to announce a new chapter in our journey. Here we are blazing a new trail, making our way to document and leave a first-class record of sound design, Field Recording and cutting-edge electronic music made in South America. We present our first album, 'Desde los oídos de un sapo', by our favourite amphibian, a man ahead of his time, the Uruguayan Lechuga Zafiro.
"How could I call it my sound if I had not found it myself?"___
States the artist, who finished forging his outstanding musical identity based on field recordings. Metal, wood, plastic, glass, rock, toads, birds, sea lions, pigs and water (in its various forms) captured in Uruguay, El Salvador, Chile, China, Argentina and Portugal, coexist and exchange harmonic and dynamic properties. By altering, editing, or simply letting the sounds manifest themselves, Lechuga generates a wide and complex rhythmic-timbral universe. These are 7 tracks that never cease to have consistency and a fierce character.
Lechuga's debut album is a milestone in Latin electronic music. This document opens a new territory, one so genuine and challenging, so real and fertile, that we are confident it will be a must-have anywhere on the planet. This collaboration is our new contribution to the mission of contemplation, so please stop, come to this frog's ear, to feel with both Pablo and us.

Repress!
We are proud to present the stellar debut and collab between the renowned Peruvian duo Dengue Dengue Dengue and Argentinian Prisma. ‘Pliegues' creates a hypnotic journey and infectious cadences that invites you to close your eyes while your hips move to the sound of colliding polyrhythms and powerful FM synth lines.
But there is also room for the oneiric realm on this EP, with the track 'Grietas' this new trio opens a portal to steep and melodramatic terrains. Meanwhile the remix of ‘Brechas’ from our friend empanadas aka DJ Python unleashes his sincere trademark of atmospheric and sentimental dembow. Finally, el paisa Verraco makes his label debut reshaping the lead track with a bombastic, deconstructed, bipolar summer banger full of edgy sound design.

The four tracks of his 2013-released „Feldspar“ EP see Romanian producer YVAT at the
absolute peak of his sonic journey.
Roughly operating within the confines of IDM, Braindance, Phonk and Post-Dubstep YVAT
serves a highly seductive sonic menu for advanced late night dancefloors with this one,
amalgamating his signature backbone of highly detailed and well crunchy beats,
shimmering harmonies and warmly caressing, comforting, all embracing low end goodness
for those in the know. Criminally underrated and for the first time available to a global
audience.
Press quote:
„You used to dig Autechre but you think their best days are long gone as they've lost their
bouncy beats vs. deep strings and nice little melodies path? Went off into deconstruction?
I'm totally with you here and that's why I love Yvats's recent "Feldspar EP" on the great
Minor Label so much. The man named Octavian Justinian Uta - and which is better known
to his parents under this name - brings back this special and long time missed twist again,
serving the best Electronica 12" I've come across in ages. Limited to 200 copies in greymarbled vinyl and hardly available via regular distribution channels. Get your copy, now! “

The 2019-released label debut on Minor by Bristol-based producer Gordon Apps a.k.a.
Relapse is another excellent showcase of how the long-standing underground imprint from
Leipzig expands its sonic spectrum into dark and dubbed out Halftime Drum'n'Bass without
losing its Industrial edge, providing a massive secret peak time weapon with the fluttering
low end and seductive vocal snippets of the B-side tune „Multilingual Talk Channel“.
Never officially distributed before this is the first time ever this barely recognized
underground gem is available to a wider audience, albeit in highly limited quantities.

Moreno Ácido & Diogo - Freak
What changed between Av. General Roçadas and Junkeira? Seven years in people's lives — yet the team's commitment remains untouched, and the steady hand on the plumb line that keeps dance music (still) upright holds firm. Years of sustained research and field work from both producers, with their own records, mutually independent and independent too in how they brought them to life. Moreno Ácido has been navigating detours through a conceptual yet grounded underground — in sound and in format (two self-released cassettes since 2019) — while keeping one eye on the floor. His post pandemic reawakening carries a clear message: Call to Action is the label that in 2023 put the still-in-demand Trash/Treasure out on vinyl. Diogo keeps Discos Extendes as his shelter, gathering talent and retreating into it. At the same time, a disseminating vocation — that talent turned outward, on a mission to champion the different sensibilities that can converge in music made for dancing.
Junkeira is direct. It hides nothing in its intent, nor does it conceal the origin of its love, nor the way it exercises its fascination with the source. Geography can define movements, described and echoed countless times outside and then inside the net. The signifiers are known to all — it's a matter of applying them with respect and flow. Perhaps the craft in this production really does come down to love, when it comes to it. What is "WTF" if not a declaration of love — at the very least of closeness — to the sonic essence of the English rave? The piano stab, the breaks defining that hardcore state of mind, the string bed lifting feet off the floor. Closing out the EP, "Freak" gathers different emotions — eyes still shut, body in comedown while still moving. Chill. Everything rounded. Bassline, vibes, vocals woven into the rhythm.
Rewinding, the opening track "100 Planos" is a throwback to Roçadas (2019) — harder on the ground, with a 4/4 beat broken up by claps, a circular structure built for DJs, with mix-friendly entry and exit points. Then "Turbo Love" puts the keys in control, foregrounding them, letting a car alarm ring out and balance the beat — a reverential nod to UK Garage felt as raw material, already part of the lineage that has been the continuous evolution from Disco onwards: an evolution that traces a line and its branches, from which you can isolate any chronological point since at least 1977 and combine whatever elements form a personality. The spirit lives, as summer kicks in.
