W.R.F. was formed in 2015 by Nina and late studio partner Andrew Weatherall to help wrangle the vast output recorded together beyond his solo releases.
Spotlighting nine tracks from the Apparently Solo series of EPs recorded between 2016- 2019 and released on Bandcamp in 2023, this lustrous time capsule marks the culmination of Walsh and Weatherall's creative relationship born after they clicked at London's earliest acid house clubs, becoming partners then managers of their Sabres Of Paradise/Sabrettes labels before taking different paths by the late '90s.
An accomplished musician, Nina had learned the art of studio technology by the time they reunited and started working together in 2012. Created at her Facility 4 Studio situated in the dangerous, gang-ridden no man's land between Streatham and Mitcham, Anamchara captures the super-prolific creative stretch starting in 2015 that produced Weatherall's Convenanza and Qualia solo sets, W.R.F.'s The Phoenix Suburb (And Other Stories) plus a whole lot more. According to Nina, Andrew envisioned the spectacular 'Borderland' as natural successor to 'Smokebelch', his most revered track. When it came to his remix, Nina enlisted renowned viola virtuoso Sarah Sarhandi and composed new harmonies with Pachelbel's Canon in D Minor in mind.
The set also catches the breakthrough period when, through Nina's careful coaxing, Andrew started using the computer system she'd set up to better express his musical visions by arranging the elements, grooves and melodies she sent him. Still considered the UK's greatest DJ-producer, Andrew's arrangements were inspired by his club-igniting sets. "This allowed me to mix the colours for his palette whilst he was painting the picture," says Nina. Anamchara straddles the gamut of musical styles explored by W.R.F. at this time, from slower paced psychedelic "drug chug" outings 'We Two'. 'Heat To Meat Ratio', 'Hidden Watchers Part 1' to banging acid house and techno sometimes inspired by the violence outside the studio door, including 'SCHLAP', 'Crack-Ed' and churning acid juggernaut 'Yacidik' ("After much dangling of the acid carrot, Andrew took a bite and, after one familiar raised eyebrow, never looked back," says Nina).
Many tracks fly elements from the enormous sonic library Nina inherited from late partner Erick Legrand that she called The Akashic Library of Sound. Marking Andrew's 2016 admission into the vault, 'Rattly Old Puffin' boasts Erick's psychedelic guitar and tumbling drum loop Weatherall would run with, including on 'Borderland'. "Erick was like our third member," says Nina.
Bringing down the curtain, 'Alma''s exquisitely poignant melody that unfolds over thirteen time-stopping minutes was composed by Nina while navigating Erick's birth and departure date anniversaries to accompany Andrew's reading from Gordon Burn's 1991 same-named novel at 2018's Durham Literary Festival. Burn's novel imagines early 60s popstrel Alma Cogan, who succumbed to cancer in 1966 surviving to reflect on fame. "Now it just makes me think of Erick. And every time I hear those well-placed cymbal crashes I can only think of the Captain himself."
A beautiful grand finale for this astonishing selection of pure gold from the vaults.

"The order of the day is bass, sub-sub-bass, trowel-in-your-ear-hole bass,
enema-bass, internal injuries bass." - Simon Reynolds, 1994
Double LP is released on 140gm black vinyl in a transparent gloss foil sleeve,
artwork and design by Ian Anderson for Designers Republic.
Circuitry Electronic launches with a release that stands as a statement of intent -
an artist with few true peers within English electronic music, with an album that
jumps out of the speakers and slaps you around the chops.
G-Man is Gez Varley - one half of Sheffield pioneers LFO, and thirty years into his
solo career, with his first vinyl album release since Avanti on Force Inc way back in
2002.
Speaking to DJ magazine in 2014 Gez recalled his early days working with Mark Bell
as LFO: "We were influenced by groups like 808 State. Unique 3, Nightmares On
Wax and also stuff like Kraftwerk, Detroit techno and early electro. So when we first
hooked up and made tunes together we just wanted to rock the dancefloor at our
local club The Warehouse". Their eponymous track 'LFO' - a classic of the bleep
and bass techno movement - was one of the first releases on the Warp label, gate-
crashing the UK's Top 20 whilst annoying Simon Mayo along the way.
Having worked with the likes of Richie Hawtin, Karl Bartos, Laurent Garnier, Art of
Noise, Radiohead, YMO and Alan Wilder, in addition to the LFO output, you'd expect
Gez to know his way around a techno dancefloor rhythm and drum pattern, and this
is an inventive funk-filled journey that never veers too far into experimental territory
yet avoids the cliches and generic tropes that too often lose the listener when techno
manifests in album form.
As the inaugural release on the Circuitry Electronic label this album plugs all the right
sockets; stay close for further electronic expansions on the theme on the label in the
coming months.

Short Info
Contours brings together New York–based producers and DJs Abby Echiverri and Clay Wilson for a
four-track 12” on Acid Camp. The record moves across acid house and techno, unified by a clear
craft for pressure, pacing, and machine-driven tracks, with moments of restraint that hold up far
beyond the dancefloor.
Wilson opens the A-side with “Interdimensional Romance,” a science fiction workout that threads
together acid echoes of Chicago, Detroit, and New York. “Nightride” follows with a more laid-back
approach, rooted in acid yet softer around the edges, with a subtle ’90s pull. On the B-side,
Echiverri’s panned synths on “Chaos Terrain” vividly wax and wane across layers of LFOs. “Roche
Lobe” closes the record in a more spacious mood—another acid-minded piece, less aimed at
peak-time utility than at the late-night afterglow of the club.
Together, the four tracks understand acid not as a fixed formula, but as a flexible language. These are
the songs of the underground clubs on Arrakis. See you at the front of the speakers.
Contours is released as a 12” on Acid Camp Records.

B2. Abby Echiverri - Roche Lobe

Erik Luebs - Facing The Horizon
A special Japan connection for the next release on DJ Nobu's Bitta label. Osaka-based Erik Luebs joins the roster with an EP of iconic, trance-influenced techno melancholia. Having released most of his work through his own DIY channels, Luebs' sounds have reached many dancefloors worldwide. He now teams up with Bitta for something special. On Nontemporal Void, Luebs delivers four tracks that perfectly showcase his diverse sound palette. Each track hits a different box of energy--all while injecting a healthy dose of hypnotism. With a keen eye for detail, the EP moves from slowly built-up tension to eyes-closed techno grooves and synth-heavy euphoria, showcasing the many sides of a magnificent sound designer and creative artist.

Another banging release from ASC on Over/Shadow. Dune really hits hard. Deep, dark, bassy, with some tasty amens that really drive the track forward. Moot Point is a little more spacey, but just as atmospheric.

This one means a lot to us. A project we’ve been working on for a couple of years. One where we hand over the curatorial keys of the label to very specific artists in whom we have absolute trust and who have an almost academic knowledge of a specific rhythm or a specific region where our eyes and sensitivity cannot reach. In order to amplify powerful voices from the global south, where the true underground is happening today, and that move away from the traditional axis of New York, London, Berlin. We present to you: Mzansi Bass curated by Shannen SP.
A project meant to explore the space between 3-step, Gqom, the dark sides of Amapiano, and mutations of Pritori rap deeply rooted in Black African rave music from the local scenes of Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Eastern Cape, and their global mutations from Brazil and the Netherlands. The project is anchored around the legacy act of DJ Lag and new comers of South African bass whose music has broken international barriers with pure-emotionally-rich dance music. The release works as both a celebration of the roots and the future offering it projects. As Shannen puts it, it's electronic music with a futuristic feel, both raw but minimal, trance-inducing and deeply physical, built in a very particular geographic space for the whole world to enjoy.
Indulge into this special soundscapes crafted by their own inhabitants. Expect a couple each year from now on.

hyenah - Usuthu feat B'utiza (Raoul K Remix)
Hyenah, has, over the last few years helped forge strong ties between the deep house mecca of Johannesburg and the cutting edge electronic scene in Europe. With a handful of influential and pivotal releases and remixes on a few key labels (Objektivity, Drumpoet, Poker Flat, Toytonics) Hyenah has established himself as a major talent to follow. With his residency and label night Rise at Berlin institution Watergate going from strength to strength, a busy touring schedule taking in Ibiza, Angola, Asia and the U.S, we’re very pleased Hyenah still found time to get into the studio so we can present you with the next instalment; The Usuthu EP. Lead track Usuthu featuring the vocals of B’utiza opens the release in fine style with crisp, percussive beats laying the foundation for the precision synths and trademark Hyenah Afro vibes. Those who loved The Wish, Tale Of The Dirt and The Idea will love this worthy follow up! Next up is a second original entitled Phases featuring the hypnotic tones of Nonku, a much deeper affair but with no less energy and atmosphere. Just a more heads down groove for the warm ups and wind downs, Nonku’s wonderful vocal elements adding the perfect soulful touch. Flipping over we have a wonderful remix from the inimitable Mr Raoul K. The Ivory Coast native now residing in Berlin has continually wowed us here at Freerange with his Boabab and Mule Musiq releases. With his collaborative release alongside Manoo just about to drop on Innervisions (including a killer Dixon edit!), we’re excited to bring you an epic Mr Raoul K remix of title track Usuthu. Setting the mood with lush strings and a beautifully paced, beatless intro, Raoul K slowly introduces the beats and keyboard parts, layering up the elements and building the energy in the process, resulting in a very special, dynamic version that will connect on a deep level with all who experience it on the dance floor.

Sam Shure - No Time To Play
Sam Shure debuts on Rekids with the ‘Belinda’ EP. The Berlin-based DJ and producer is joined by Deer Jade for one of its three tracks. Berlin’s Sam Shure arrives on Rekids 3rd July 2026 with the ‘Belinda’ EP, a three-tracker including a collaboration with Swiss French DJ and producer and I AM YOU label boss Deer Jade. Since his debut release in 2016, Shure has been backed by a long list of supporters, including Pete Tong and Âme, racking up over 66 million streams via music on the likes of HABITAT and Cercle, as well as releasing Tomorrowland’s CORE label’s best-selling track. Sam Shure’s ‘Belinda’ EP opens with the title track, where a robust, organic rhythm playfully underpins the fidgety, bit crushed sounds and stabs above, all while the titular vocal is evenly dotted throughout the arrangement. Shure then teams up with Innervisions, Diynamic and Kompakt artist Deer Jade for the aptly named ‘String Theory’, a strong and steady groove shot through with uplifting strings and synth work. Closing the offering, Sam Shure returns solo with ‘No Time To Play’, squelchy sequences winding through rich melodies that steadily build the pressure for a strobe-lit dancefloor adventure.

Info:
Roman Flügel returns to Running Back with another chapter in an ongoing love affair between machine funk and dancefloor euphoria. Following a string of releases stretching from Garden Party to the recent Dusty Jukebox EP, this latest offering continues a path that has become unmistakably his own.
There are no dietary restrictions here. Just generous portions of basslines, rave signals, bleeps, and rhythm tracks, all layered with the kind of instinctive musicality that makes Roman’s productions feel both immediate and timeless. The spirit of early rave culture remains a guiding force, not as nostalgia but as a living source of inspiration, feeding into House music’s endless
capacity for joy, surprise, and communal release.
As ever, the objective is simple: celebrate the moment. Preferably loud, preferably together, and preferably with plenty of icing on top

KinAhau ft. Mahmut Orhan - - Cicek
2
KinAhau - Plane Jane
3
KinAhau - Danza De La Pau
Few artists have arrived on the electronic scene quite like KinAhau. First entering the spotlight through a chance encounter that led to his breakout collaboration with Solid Grooves founder Michael Bibi, the exciting DJ/producer quickly found himself moving through some of the world's most respected clubs and festivals. Yet while early attention centred on an unlikely origin story, the years since have revealed a more nuanced artistic voice, one increasingly focused on reflection rather than reaction, and expression rather than expectation. That perspective sits at the heart of his return to Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels imprint as he lands on the label with his latest EP, ‘Cicek’. Opening title track ‘Cicek’, created alongside Mahmut Orhan, unfolds through emotive melodies, organic textures, and a sense of quiet tension that feels deliberately removed from conventional club formulas. It's a record that prioritises atmosphere and feeling over immediacy, setting the tone for the wider release. Across the EP, that idea takes different forms, shapes and directions. ‘Plane Jane leans’ is a stripped-back, hazy journey through vibrant keys and woozy textures, while ‘Danza De La Pau’ flips the script and tunnels into trippy, ping-pong synths, cascading tones and off -kilter pockets of sound. Together, the three tracks feel less like individual records and more like snapshots from a broader creative conversation, one shaped by a growing distance from formula and a desire to explore something more personal and unique.

STS - Places
Be The Mountain (2026) is the latest release from Detroit-based musician STS. The record explores a serene and introspective world shaped by organically morphed textures and slowly evolving soundscapes.
While largely drumless, the album maintains a subtle rhythmic backbone - not through traditional percussion, but through modulated pads, shifting synths, and carefully sculpted ambience. The music moves and breathes without overt propulsion, finding tension and momentum through tone, density, and motion rather than beats.
Much of the record was written during a period of sustained physical and mental strain. A time when daily effort fought against perceived limits. Instead of responding with heavier or more aggressive material, the music became a quiet counterweight to the intensity. These tracks function as an escape from chaos. They are built from patience, repetition, and a gradual transformation.
The title reflects a central idea behind the record: confronting something that initially feels insurmountable, only to realize that the enduring force is the one within us all.
Be The Mountain is about endurance, not as struggle, but as presence.
Written and produced by Steven Stavropoulos
Guitar written and performed by Tim Barrett

GENRE: Ambient, electronic, experimental, pop, relaxing
Blue Hour is the most recent release from Friday Night Plans, recently signed by Modern Obscure Music. The project marks FNP's shift from their 'pop' roots towards a more experimental and ambient sound. Friday Night Plans is pioneered by singer/songwriter Masumi who has collaborated on this project with acclaimed Japanese producer Ena. Together, they have created a collection of songs that represents the quiet introspection and emotions of the AM hours, using improvisation during the production process to create a cyclical record that is described as 'dreamlike'. Masumi attributes the project to a journey consisting of fragments of memory through each song; a reflection of how nostalgia and recollection connects us to emotions.

“L’École de la nuit” marks Versatile Records’ 30th anniversary with a musical découpage by label founder Gilb’R. The album’s 12 songs and numerous collaborations form an adroit exploration of life and music, all threaded together by lifelong “partner in crime” I:Cube’s signature mixdowns.
“Hà mar” represents the peak of the album’s organic spectrum—an instantly captivating melodic and percussive Brazilian song featuring Alvaro Lancellotti on guitar and vocals—while “White Light” serves as its electronic counterpart, with a classic pop feel, featuring Swedish singer Monica Tormell
Musically, “L’École de la nuit” moves across many different landscapes and languages, intersecting rock, shoegaze, ambient, electronica, and, of course, jazz. Gilb’R collaborates with a rich arsenal of guest musicians: saxophonist Quentin Rollet; guitarist and producer Maxime Delpierre; French artist Judah Warsky, with whom Gilb’R previously released an album; Jonny Nash, producer and guitarist; as well as Ben Shemie. Not least, father and son Julio and Julinho Pimentel contribute their distinctive percussion, alongside François Creamer on bass clarinet.
“L’École de la nuit” is the 50th album release on Versatile Records. It was initiated in Amsterdam, then entirely reimagined and rebuilt in Paris. It stands as a manifesto for the album format and a tribute to the listener.
