Minimal wave legend Das Ding is back on Electronic Emergencies after 10 years with a stunning selection of archival tracks from retrieved tape recordings. In the early eighties, Danny Bosten got together with his friends after school in his bedroom studio, somewhere in the bleak Dutch countryside. They experimented with cheap analogue gear and made music to kill time. The sound is raunchy and slightly experimental, but already unmistakable Das Ding. New wave, early EBM and proto techno are found this album, pressed on clear vinyl. To preserve the original atmosphere and sound, the tapes received the Ruud Lekx mastering treatment.

Rotterdam fuses with Berlin, as Das Ding lands on Mechatronica for the third record in the label's White series, dedicated to limited vinyl-only pressings of EBM, wave, synth, electro, italo, industrial and experimental sounds.
Alien Insane' opens the record with a relentlessly progressing piece of dark machine music, followed by the dazzling cosmic journey of 'Idiomatic Transnominator', both tracks vividly blending Das Ding's signature sound with classic Dutch electro, synth and italo styles.
On the flip, 'I Am Not A Robot' presents a more blissful soundscape, elevating higher through dreamy synths, tight percussion and an inescapable bassline, before Ksitigarbha rounds off the record with a slow, enchanting sonic journey into strange and ghostly territory.

Test Pilot is the second solo album by Michael Zodorozny, post-punk icon and founding member of Crash Course in Science. On Test Pilot, he continues to explore his personal and poetic interpretation of the post-punk, new wave and no wave sound. Homemade and self-invented instruments complete his specific, extraordinary style that leans towards EBM and thrusting electro. After contributing to the latest Celldod album, the Swedish master of dark synths returns the favour here on the track Higher. Test Pilot was produced by Matia Simovich aka INHALT, and Michael Zodorozny himself painted and designed the cover art.

Some smooth remix action going on here!! Italian DJ and producer Gianluca Pandullo a.k.a. I-Robots has chosen six of his favourite Electronic Emergencies tracks to reconstruct. The first Electronic Emergencies release of 2021 is by Chris & Nogi, founders of the legendary Shoc Corridor. It reflects our love for minimal wave, simply called new wave back in the days. Released as a 10-inch, 'Autumn Rituals and Refugees' consists of eight tracks taken from 4-track-cassette tapes recorded in 1985-1988. Three of these are collaborations with avant-garde voice artist Sharon Gal. The original tapes, which had to endure a journey from London via Israel to South Africa, were beautifully restored by Ruud Lekx, who was able to retain the original sound and atmosphere. The cover art of 'Autumn Rituals and Refugees' was designed by Niels Vrijdag, exhibiting the DIY-mentality and modern living-fantasy of the music from the eighties.

Electronic Emergencies is proud to introduce Ceci N'est Pas, a synth wave project from New York consisting of Nico Nightingale, Pierre Klein and Jorge Socarras. Nico Nightingale is the man behind Neud Photo and earlier worked with Pierre Klein as Neud. Jorge Socarras was singer with synth maestro Patrick Cowley in the 70s duo Catholic, and with 80s cult band Indoor Life. Together, they started Ceci N'est Pas in 2014, and this 7 inch "The Last Time" is their first release. The title track on the A-side is an irrestisibly melancholic and romantic synth wave pop song, while B-side "The Stranger" has a mysterious and yearning feel.
