D. Wynn & The R-Tyme Production. Marking his first release since 2002 on KMS
Records, D. Wynn reconnects with the deeply soulful Detroit sound that defined his
earlier work—timeless, emotive, and built for the dancefloor.
At the center of the release is “Love Ain’t Easy”, a heartfelt, soul-driven track featuring
vocals from Record Time favorite Lavell Williams. The song carries special significance
as Williams’ final known musical recording prior to his passing in 2018, giving the record
both emotional weight and historical importance. The EP also includes “Use Me (U Turn
Remix)”, a fresh take on R-Tyme’s most recognized work—previously reimagined by Carl
Craig—alongside “Funk N The Drums,” a raw, percussion-heavy cut driven by deep funk
and rhythmic intensity.
A foundational figure in Detroit’s electronic music movement, D. Wynn was instrumental
in shaping the culture as part of the legendary Music Institute era, alongside pioneers
such as Derrick May, Alton Miller, and Chez Damier. As one half of R-Tyme with Derrick
May, he helped deliver seminal recordings including “Use Me” and “Illusion/R-Theme” on
Transmat, leaving a lasting imprint on the global electronic music landscape.
This is more than a comeback. It’s a continuation of a legacy.

The listener is invited to experience seven faraway sonic imaginariums, as global and spiritual jazz are fused with modern electronics and life affirming minimalism into a hypnotic, polyrhythmic odyssey.
The album's rich multilayered sound world features contributions from tabla virtuoso Sarathy Korwar, Senegalese musician Dudú Kouate adds an array of percussions, ngoni and flutes and Levitation Orchesta's Marysia Osu brings harp and flutes. Enamour returns to Crosstown Rebels with his latest EP ‘What U Said’, featuring SAM SHI. Featuring a remix from recent Crosstown signees Bonafique, the US producer continues his evolving relationship with the label following his 2025 contribution to SPIRITS VII and earlier remix work for bullet tooth. LA-based DJ/producer Enamour has long operated outside of fi xed lanes and guidelines, shaping a sound defi ned by melodic depth and a psychedelic edge that translates across both club systems and through headphones. With regular support across his work from the likes of Solomun, CamelPhat, Hernán Cattáneo, Lee Burridge, and Damian Lazarus, alongside remixes for RÜFÜS DU SOL, RY X, and Lane 8, his catalogue reflects a balance of reach and individuality. "What U Said" is about the moment language turns physical; when words create a chemical reaction you can’t take back” says Enamour. “It taps into the same quirky energy as my other records on the label, which I think heightens the feeling of surprise as the instrumental meanders underneath SAM SHI’s vocal It’s a track that pairs Enamour’s textured, immersive production with fellow LA-based artist SAM SHI’s vocal presence, shifting through atmospheres and rhythmic drive. Making a return to the label, in-demand duo Bonafique step in on remix duties, reworking the original into a more hypnotic, groove-led interpretation built for deeper club moments. Closing track ‘Dip’ has already become a fixture in Enamour’s sets, operating as a trippy counterpoint to the vocal-led A-side and employing commanding drums, oscillating synths and a driving energy made to capture dancefloors. “‘Dip is a fan favourite and secret weapon that’s been a staple in mine and others’ sets for quite a while now,” he adds. “Balancing out the release with this one felt like the right time to finally get it out into the wild.”

'Lines' is presented as a Limited edition clear vinyl (500 copies only worldwide), printed in heavy-weight reverse board sleeve with a hand-numbered edition sticker. The vinyl edition also features 'Oblique' (A2), an exclusive version for the vinyl format, plus the now revered 'Longing for Tomorrow' - (Brandt Brauer Frick Remix), previously unreleased physically and now pressed on vinyl format, ending side B. The cover artwork features another collaboration with Dutch visual artist Sigrid Calon and design by label founder Adam Heron.
Formed with a sense of urgency and a reductive approach 'Lines' is almost entirely comprised of alto saxophone, clarinet and piano with embellishments of ambience and minimal percussive elements. Recorded in full at his home studio in London, Pascal Bideau speaks about the process:
"I wanted to go a bit more a bit more horizontal and ambient, work with layers of lines, might they be dotted or straight, and leave them to unfold and see where they would take me."
Akusmi uniquely finds the spaces in between experimental jazz, crossover classical and ambient music.

Predominantly an improviser, recent years have seen memotone lean towards a more free-form approach, exploring jazz, drone and more meditative music, also showing a keen interest in sound design and textural experimentation. The Coastal Commission “On the Rocks”
Atmospheric synths with a deep rolling Dubby Bassline beckon you to the dancefloor.
The staccato 606 drum machine snare hits snap over the track before a monster kick
drum comes thumping out of the speakers.
“On the Rocks” has served as a killer intro track by many International Dj’s including
Grant Dell who recently opened with it in Los Angeles for “Sunday Sessions”.
A big tune in South America and in particular in São Paulo, Brazil it serves as a great
mood builder for Dj’s looking to captivate their audience right off the bat.
The Coastal Commission literally tuned the Arp Odyssey Bassline to shake down the
walls, ceiling and floor while making this track. Always a massive fan of Night writers
(RIP) “Push the Feeling on” Sam read an interview where they revealed that they wrote
the B-line using a Sequencial Circuits “Arp Odyssey” and that sent him on a mission to
track one down. He eventually found one covered in dust in the back of a thrift shop in
Santa Barbara for $50! (They now go for bout 3K). Excitedly Sam rushed it home to the
studio to clean it up & after some playing around the Bassline was found and the other
elements were built around that.
The track finally breaks down to a beautiful jazz trumpet with muffled voices
conversating in the background saying “Yeah that was Funky!” releasing the tension
before building the strings back up with the vocal “Come on” commanding you to keep
dancing.
“On the Rocks” is hailed as a Modern Deep House Classic by fans and definitely one
that will stay in your record box.
Jesse Outlaw feat. Jason Harris “I’m Underground”
Jesse pens another hypnotic slab of awesome West Coast dance floor tech funk
alongside Jason’s Harris on vocals.
Jason weaves his story of Underground living in the Los Angeles scene over a pounding
kick drum and scattered percussion. The haunting keys keep the listener locked in as
the dub Bassline throbs beneath the track. As the tune proceeds it hypnotizes you &
carry’s you off into a dank basement groove. Only ever on Dub plate & used on the
second PCH “Summer Sessions” mix CD this track finally gets a full release and is
remastered by Martin Iveson.
