This is the track that has influenced other hi-tech jazz groups and artists such as Timeline, Boulevard des Airs, Innerzone Orchestra, Jazzanova, Spiral Deluxe, Los Hermanos, Ian O’ Brian and many others. On edit imprint Disco Mind's 10th release, they hand over the reins to iconic Italian DJ, producer and remixer Beppe Loda, once resident DJ at influential rural club Typhoon during the 1980s. It's that period - where he embraced the disco-rock and Afro-cosmic sounds being played by contemporary Daniele Baldelli - that inspired the four scalpel jobs on show. 'Mr Rocket' is a chugging chunk of oddball early 80s cosmic rock headiness, while 'Tu Sei' sees Loda rework what sounds like a synth-laden fusion of space rock and intergalactic jazz-funk. On side B, he does a great job on spiralling, big hair-sporting disco-rock number 'Falling', before showcasing more spacey synths and chugging rock riffs on 'Marzio'.

What in the? Who in the? Bileebob, aka John Williams, is by far the most multi-talented artist on UR. Why? Because he sings, he DJs, he makes his own instruments and his own tracks, and none of us quite
understands any of it – all we know is it’s funky! We cannot begin to explain the immensity of how distributors, and other people who determine what you listen to, completely overlooked this artist as they did Drexciya when they first came out. We are especially proud to carry this man’s music as it will be discovered in the future to be some of the baddest Detroit Techno ever made. Unfortunately released during the height of Berlin minimal influence when no DJ dared to play anything with a complex beat and during the construction of the Submerge building when Mike didn’t have any money left, this UR gem stands out from all other UR tracks and is a huge seller all year in our record store when people ask, “When did this come out and what the hell is this?” Electronic music has no parameters or at least it shouldn’t. Will you dare play it? Or will you just quietly stand by and cheat the crowd out of the funk they deserve? Stop being a punk and put this shit on your turntable. Watch what happens!

Le Ceez is one of those OG Chicago House heads that we all know, admire and respect. As a kid, he was soaked in a huge serving of WGCI and WBMX, learning the chops with a mad famous house music cousin and religiously studying Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles’ edits.

He’s done a few things out there, but nothing beats his edits, his DJ skills, and his knowledge. Maybe you’ve heard similar tunes before, but don’t be fooled—this is the real deal to all of us who know a thing or two in the Windy City. Matthew Patterson Curry's 'Not Weird At All' is glitch-step and hyper futuristic, then Jeff Pietro melts your mind with the syncopated loops of 'Mass Hex' (version), which has an eerie celestial glow. Brendon Moeller does what Brendon Moeller does best to close - fathom-deep dub class.
