After a short break, Vibes and Grooves is back with Collab Grooves Part 2. Following the success
of our initial collaborative venture, we continue our mission of uniting visionary producers under a
single sonic umbrella. This time Jemaho, Shaka and DFRA come together for another deep
collaboration.
With “Joudia’s Groove (Drifting Away – The DAT Version)” on the A side, we are delighted to have
Jemaho on board. He delivers an outstanding, warm and soulful vocal house cut driven by a
smooth, uplifting groove and rich musical depth. With its unique tape sound aesthetic, a true
masterpiece. Certainly a future club classic.
The B side opens with „Sparkling Soul“ from label resident Shaka. A jazzy house affair that blends
vibrant piano melodies, a hypnotic lead synth line, and a tight bassline. It radiates warmth,
sophistication, and an ever-present sense of romance.
The second track comes from DFRA, the man from Buenos Aires, who is already well known on
the label for his outstanding tracks from the latest Collab Grooves. With “New York Style”, DFRA
delivers a deep house tune shaped by warmth, restraint, and a steady underground groove. Subtle
textures and raw rhythms create a smooth, flowing atmosphere that feels natural and unforced.

Legendary is a bold title for an EP, but is fully justified in the case of this new 12" from Silver Walker, which gathers some of house music's best and most proven talents. Jon Dixon opens with the light, fluttering house stylings of 'Five 15', which have sax motifs adding a touch of classy hi-tech jazz. Dallas man JT Donaldson follows by folding jazz phrasing into a swinging, deep house framework with understated finesse. Dear Friend featuring Lisa Millett was the first release on the label in 2010 and instantly became a highly collectable classic. Uchikawa refreshes the track with his customary deep and soulful yet driving energy, maintaining all the musical elements that define his unique fusion of the organic with the electronic.
Wait For You featuring Carla Prather gets retouched with a deep rolling groove and riding hammond organ melody creating a smooth bed for Carla’s haunting vocal.
Uchikawa’s cover version of the Grover Washington classic Mr Magic first appeared under his Rhythm Of Elements guise in 2008. It features the great pianist Makoto Kuriya laying down a sublime solo over the infectious groove and Hideki Ikeuchi killing it on guitar. The 2026 Remix comes with a full-on laid-back jazz double-bass line as the background for the exquisite solo performances.
