Following on from his Make It Hot six-tracker, Rinse are pleased to announce the release of Burnin' Up, the debut full-length album by DJ Haus. One of the UK's most exciting DJs and boss of acclaimed labels Unknown To The Unknown and Hot Haus. Over the last few years Haus has honed his own unique, anarchic strain of bass-heavy house music, both solo and in duos Trumpet & Badman (with DJ Q) and Hot City. The result has been a salvo of raucous, dancefloor-focused records joining the dots between classic Chicago acid and ghetto house, hints of UK garage's compulsive bump 'n' swing, old-skool hardcore and the brusque splatter of the Bunker Records sound - a vivid hybrid sound that channels sheer energy in the club. Burnin' Up picks up and expands on that track record to date. Gathering twelve brand new club tracks, including collaborations with Innershades and Chambray, it showcases Haus as a dancefloor alchemist par excellence. Refracting the rawest styles of house-rooted music from the last two decades through the gleefully recombinant, mutagenic tendencies of UK dance music, its tracks are all united by Haus' characteristic diamond-hard percussion and distinctively deft ear for a vocal sample flip. Next up on Creme Organization is someone who has been winning lots of fans with his tough, masculine house music in the last couple of years. Releasing on labels like Unknown to the Unknown and his own Hot Haus Recs, DJ Haus's sound is one that aims squarely at the dance floor. Up first here is 'Wurk it Girl', a slamming track with old school bass, sharp percussion and none stabs that are impossible not to move to. Various passion fuelled vocal cries also add to the sweaty atmosphere where next cut 'Little Pieces' gets a bit weird: chopped and cut up vocals form patchwork patterns above bursts of siren, bright synths and icy hi hats. Urgent and heavy, driven by tough kicks and with a freewheeling sense of fun, it's a veritable house bomb. Title track 'Peekaboo' is slower and more purposeful, with more weird vocals heavily treated and darting about above steel sounding stabs, glassy pads and smoother synths. The gritty, swinging 'Feel The Powde r' is a coked up house jam with lots of sleaze, manic indecipherable vocals and fat, squelchy bass. Weird but never too weird, this is nerve jangling, sweat inducing and high impact house of the highest order.

Iconic Norwegian producer and composer Biosphere follows up his evocative 'Angel's Flight' release with a new album set for release early in 2022. Shortwave Memories is an album inspired by the post-punk electronic music of the late 70's and early 80's, especially the productions of figures like Martin Hannett and Daniel Miller. "The last few Biosphere albums have all been made using samples and software, but Shortwave Memories is a return to vintage analog hardware from the late 70s and early 80s. Most of these instruments do not have any presets or memory storage, so all the sounds were programmed from scratch. The idea was not so much to make music that sounds like it was written in the same period. It's more like what would happen if I had the chance to use the same instruments, and applied the same meticulous attention to detail as the producers mentioned above."
