UK producer Lex Wolf joins the RNT roster with a searingly hot EP of summer bangers! Known for his recent superlative output on the Make-A-Dance crew’s MAD Edits series, Lex brings his signature sample-heavy touch to this quartet of club and festival-ready tunes. Sounding a bit like Bob Sinclar over tough electro production, ‘Get Into The Sound’ starts the record off with a party then moves to the genre bending ‘Russle Love,’ with its melancholic vocals floating over a pulsating rubbery bassline. On the flip, ‘Warmer’ takes us into darker latenite territory with heavy low-end, stabby 80s synths and abstract vocal samples, and the record finishes off with the whimsical and effusive Sendsome, a plucky-guitar and horn driven earworm of an Afro edit. Every Time We Say Goodbye (feat. Blanca) is light and melodic with shimmering pads and ethereal textures. Blanca’s treated vocals float effortlessly above rolling percussion and delicate synth melodies, delivering a warm, emotional energy that feels both modern and timeless. The 18th Floor is a hypnotic journey built on dubby low-end grooves and fluid, meandering leads. Back by popular demand, the limited-edition repress of one of Joe Claussell's most cherished compositions has returned. Originally released in 1999 and created in collaboration with Afro-dance innovator Jephte Guillaume and the late music legend Boyd Jarvis, Agora É Seu Tempo first appeared on the Trip do Brazil compilation in France. It was later issued as a highly sought-after promotional 12" on Spiritual Life Music-quickly becoming a defining release in the rise of Brazilian-influenced dance music from the late '90s onward.
In 2018, Joe Claussell revisited the piece, crafting two entirely new versions inspired by the musical spirit of New York City's barrios. Released as a limited 7", these remixes sold out within weeks. Now, answering the overwhelming demand, we're pleased to announce a new limited repress of this timeless and deeply soulful classic.
