Bristolian DJ and producer Gallegos is fast becoming known in the underground for his truly unique blend of hard-hitting house and rough and ready sampling. With releases on Moxie’s ‘On Loop’ imprint, London based party and imprint ‘Feelings Worldwide’ and a pivotal EP on ‘Holding Hands’ in 2021 that brought him adulation from Avalon Emerson, Eris Drew and Octo Octa to name just a few.

The sample wizard now makes his debut on Baby Rolle´n’s Slump Recordings label, a year in waiting due to the severe delays with vinyl pressing plants, this miraculous musical journey sees the light of day. Having collaborated on numerous releases together, Gallegos releasing on Rolle´n’s Slump imprint was destined to come soon.

Spanning from the crunchy house grooves of 'Faulty VHS Chewed My WWF Tapes', to the unbounded rave energy of 'Westfest Windmills' with a driving upbeat pulse, Gallegos also spoils us with his long-since unreleased hip hop production ‘Only The Lonely’. Right on time once again, the fifth outing on Punctuality welcomes Irish producer Drua to the fore. In typical Punctuality fashion the release draws influence from the canon of golden era late 90s and early 2000s dance music with an entirely modern production aesthetic, engineered for big rigs and sweaty dancefloors alike.

Nightfire is a fully realised vision of Drua’s sound that could best be described as contemporary hard house. All four tracks are laden with punchy, rolling basslines, detailed low end, vibrant stabs, sultry vocals, undulating rhythms and sprinklings of quintessential club sparks.

The nouveau handbag styling of UP kicks off the EP. Stuttered vocals, M1 organs and solid grooves are fused together with clever sampling that is sure to make this one a hit for the festival season of s/s ‘25, as early support from the likes of Roza Terenzi, Confidence Man, Spray, Sally C and Maara would indicate.

Job 2.3 has all the elements of a Punctuality anthem and maintains the big tune mood of the EP: skippy bass notes, low end wubs, subtle breaks, catchy vocal hooks and precise drums nail the brief in executing this prog-hard-house hybrid heater.

On the flip, Nightfire nods to classic leaning deep house through a peak time lens. Introspective pads make way for pulsing subs, sensuous vocal chops and hip catching basslines. This is one of those tracks that can shift the arc of a DJ set to the next level. Big tip here.

The EP concludes with Arch In Ur Back which has all the elements to work a dancefloor: multiple grooves, rolling breakbeats, party starting vocals and the modern sound design that punctuality has gained worldwide notoriety for. An all killer no filler EP in the form of four well rounded club tools from Drua that are sure to be mainstays for discerning DJs and Punctualists

King Street Sounds return for the fifth sampler in the series. This release showcases four releases from six house music aficionados such as Mood II Swing, DJ Romain, Jon Cutler, Studio Apartment, Quentin Harris and Pal Joey under his Loop Trick guise.

The EP opens with New York duo Mood II Swing’s “Driving Me Crazy” originally released in 1995 and still sounds as good now, 30 years later. Up next is DJ Romain & Jon Cutler with De Ja Vu (Mr.V Roots Main Mix) featuring Jeannie Hopper delivering a mesmerizing vocal. This one’s built for those dim lit rooms.

Kicking things off on the B side is “Beat Freak” (The Shelter Dub) by Loop Trick (otherwise known as Pal Joey). An already outstanding record got a distinguished touch up from New York house legends Blaze.

Drawing this wonderful EP to a close is Studio Apartment featuring Terrance Downs with “We Are Lonely” (Quentin Harris Vocal Mix). The NYC legend adds his deft touch to the Japanese duo’s soulful offering.

Full Circle Vol. Two revisits label classics through a series of fresh, heavyweight remixes. Ewil-Merodach son of Nebukadnezar is also known as Amel-Marduk (Second Book of Kings 25,27). The last tune on the A-side is DIKE DISCO STYLE DUB with some synth keys into niceness land. Flipside TROUBLE NO SET LIKE RAIN brings you a deep rockers riddim with some melancholic horns section. this one is a heavy load tune!

STEP INTO CALABI-YAU follows up and is a particular type of manifold gently stepperdub which has certain properties, such as Ricci flatness tom tom echos, yielding electro piano applications in theoretical physics.

Last tune is the tricky ones here in terms of the drum beats (it’s based upon the Peanuts Vendor Riddim Beat for those of you who want to know) and is called BODERATION TIMES DUB and features PRINCE ISTARI on his 6 string bass guitar solo. Its more of a serious dubinstrumental then a dub tune.
