We are proud to present you Art Of Tones's first EP for Lazy Days. AOT is the brainchild of Ludovic Llorca's, formerly known for his work as Llorca on F-Communications. As Art Of Tones, he released music on labels like 20:20 Vision and Room With A View while remixing countless artists like his great rework of Tortured Soul "You Found A Way" for our 5 Years of Lazy Days Album. This 4 track EP starts with the beautiful "Elephants", a very unique and musical dance floor treat. "Myself, My Body" goes a little darker with this gospel heavy track. Lastly, The Right Moment, brings down the tempo into a 70s influenced funk number. Also available on the digital release is the Dub of the title track "Elephants". Llorca is an old friend of the label and we're happy to have him as a part of the family.

The wave of love & applause surrounding Art of Tones this year has been phenomenal & well deserved. Long running stalwart of the global House scene for nearly 20 years, Ludovic Llorca has brought his work at the forefront with labels such as F Communications & 2020 Vision. In 2009, he lived an creative renaissance by uniting with Room with A View, finding with the guidance of Dairmount, a new genuine inspiration shelter. Several tracks started to appear on the label in the Perspectives serie and his first EP ” The World As I Live It” was released in march 2010 combining a huge critical & popular acclaim.
Literally everyone played tracks of the EP and it is still a firm favorite of many one year after. This spring, Art Of Tones contributed with “Too Much” to the 5th instalment of the Perspectives serie. This one became again one of the most played track of the summer according to Resident Advisor. Mr llorca has also been a very in demand remixer as witness recent additions to his already impressive remixography : Tortured soul on Fred Everything’s Lazy Days, TJ Kong on Compost, Evan Evans on The Revenge’s Instruments of Rapture, Marcos in Dub for Alma Soul, Mario Basanov for Under The Shade. He is also currently finishing his version of the next Toolroom big hit Punky Blaster’s Missin’. Llorca also freshly released "La debandade EP" as the follow-up to his big Ep of 2010.This brand new 3 tracker is a kind of tribute of Ludovic to the 90’s US House sound that inspired him to start to produce music in his early days. But instead of going for a superficial retro touch, he chosed to recreate the spirit in his very own way. For Real has been preciously kept out of the EP to be released ONLY ON VINYL as a genuine gift for vinyl lovers. To celebrate this anniversary and honour our dear friend Fredrik Lager (aka Red Astaire), who sadly and unexpectedly passed away three years ago, we are re-releasing 'Follow Me' alongside remixes from some of our favourite producers. The remixes will be released across three separate 7-inch EPs featuring Soul Supreme, DJ Spinna, Ukokos, and Kampinos.
On the first EP, Amsterdam-based keyboardist and producer Soul Supreme delivers a masterful cover version featuring live instrumentation, programmed beats, and fresh vocals. It is a beautiful tribute that honours the original while evolving the track from its sample-based roots into a full-scale production. The EP features two takes: a Jazz-Funk infused original and a Samba/Bossa-inspired version ('Follow My Samba').

The second instalment of the 'Follow Me' remix / rework series comes from GAMM's finest ghost producers, Ukokus & Kampinos. The Ukokos version transforms 'Follow Me' into a killer Bruk / UK House monster that is guaranteed to make noise in the clubs, check that mad bass-drop!
On the AA side, Kampinos throws 'Follow Me' into a blender of percussive samba and 90's drum'n'bass rhythms...and it's a beautiful marriage.

To celebrate this anniversary and honour our dear friend Fredrik Lager (aka Red Astaire), who sadly and unexpectedly passed away three years ago, we are re-releasing 'Follow Me' alongside remixes from some of our favourite producers. The remixes will be released across three separate 7 inch EPs featuring Soul Supreme, DJ Spinna, Ukokos and Kampinos.
The second instalment of the 'Follow Me' remix / rework series comes from GAMM's finest ghost producers, Ukokus & Kampinos. It doesn't matter who is behind the names; what matters is the quality of the production. The Ukokos version transforms 'Follow Me' into a killer Bruk / UK House monster that is guaranteed to make noise in the clubs, check that mad bass-drop!
On the AA side, Kampinos throws 'Follow Me' into a blender of percussive samba and 90's drum'n'bass rhythms...and it's a beautiful marriage.

GAMM is proud to welcome New Zealand born, but these days based in Berlin, Philippa to our camp.
Over the last years, Philippa has been releasing amazing, warm, soulful, and highly distinctive dance music on labels like Slothboogie and Freerange as well as building her DJ roster. For her premier GAMM release,'Cloud Walking EP', Philippa has three amazing tracks that all mix up samples, live musicality, and vocals. If you put Moodymann and Henrik Schwarz in a blender somewhere in the Balearic Islands, you're kinda close. Either way, it's deep, organic, and almost kinda orchestral at some points. If you ask us, we would simply call it dance MUSIC.
Opening the EP is the title track 'Cloud Walking' which is a deep Fender Rhodes affair with vocals inspired by Aretha's Day Dreaming classic. Moving on, on 'Hear Me' Philippa shows off her musical piano skills with a lush and atmospheric deep house jam. Heads up, we got a hot premiere on GAMM from Chicago's finest Emmaculate and Basement Boys legend DJ Spen !
The story behind this release goes something like this...
Our buddy and GAMM contributor Coflo spins at a dope house party, drops the A side 'Step Into A Black Whole' and the club literally explodes when the track hits the massive hip hop breakdown (KRS!) and returns and transforms into a jazzy Afrobeat house stomper. It's an +11 min long musical journey going from house to hip hop to Disco-Afrobeat. The GAMM representative in the house "feels it" and asks Coflo who's behind the tune, and after a few months, the connection is made with Emmaculate and DJ Spen to secure the release for GAMM.
A few weeks later, Emmaculate delivers a second track, 'Boogie On Disco Woman', which is a killer Funk/Disco/Soul rework with raw drums, nasty clavinets and soulful female vocals.
This could easily have been the feature track, but lands on the B side this time.
Incredible jams !

It's rare to hear a debut 12'' single that really blows you away. That's hardly a controversial statement; in truth, most producers take time to find their feet, developing a distinct style over a period of years, rather than months.
Magnesii, then, is something special. Currently based in Amsterdam. The previously unheard of producer has delivered a stunning debut 12'' for Tom Trago's Voyage Direct label. Raw, fuzzy and in turns melancholic, spellbinding and intense, its' three tracks bubble and hiss to the distinct sound of vintage analogue hardware.
You see, the young Dutch producer tends to avoid modern computers. ''I often feel like those screens suck my soul away,'' he says. Instead, he jams out tunes on a tasteful selection of analogue gear, sequencing with either the Alesis MMT-8 or the Akai MPC2000 - a favourite toy of many of the Netherlands' best electronic producers - and adding basslines, beats, acid lines and melodies on obscure synths and drumcomputers'. His creations are then bounced down straight to 1/4" tape or cassette.
Some of these resultant jams, as showcased on this impressive debut, are nothing less than inspired. Acid lines rise and fall, machine drums rattle, and distinctive synth lines weave in and out of the mix. These are raw tracks for the dancefloor blessed with all the colour and warmth associated with vintage hardware.
''RZTB Tantra'' sets the tone, layering bubbling acid lines and dreamy chords over a relentlessly nagging bassline and punchy, scattergun drum machine percussion. ''Lava Jam'' is decidedly deeper, with woozy, emotive melodies and alien electronics tumbling over a dusty rhythm pattern and tactile acid bass.
Magnesii completes a sterling debut with ''Van Dyke Island Jam'', whose squidgy bassline and long, drawn-out M1 chords work in complete harmony with the crispy rhythm track and densely building percussion hits. Like its' predecessor, it too seems to be tinged with sadness, as if Magnesii's machines are shedding a tear for glories past.
Clearly, Magnesii is a name to look out for in future. For the time being, we'll have to make do with one of the most impressive debut 12'' singles of 2014 to date.
