A2 - Vampires At Dawn - Len Lewis adds a dark spacey drum snapper with a crowd sample he recorded as the first rays of the sun hit the stones
at Stonehenge summer solstice UK 21/06/22. “The concept for this track was to imagine how a vampire feels as dawn approaches and you have 2 choices: 1 - go home, or 2 - find one more meal.” This track features Akasha's words in her native Romanian tongue.

B1 - Night of the Owl - This collaboration brings Swedens Nicke (circle square) to the table, an artist and international dj that’s musical roots and release’s cover pure Minimal Dub House to Tech-House and Romanian Tech House. Len say’s - ‘when I got Nicke’s’ parts, I went into the forest on a full moon, talked to owls… came back, had a shower and didn’t stop till it was finished.”

B2 - Blind - Fabyo feat Coosmo - A new project from two Italian producers. Blind, a collaboration with songwriter, producer and mixing engineer Coosmo. This collaboration rounds of the E.p with a lighter, nostalgic old school vibe with hypnotic vocals.

B2 Bag Me Up, Bosko Balos: “Starting 2022 I lost all of my projects from the last two years. Among a handful of wavs was Bag Me Up which marked a change in my sound. A combination of electro-break and old techno / house style”.

Revisiting Duncan Forbes’ debut solo album ‘Return Of The Strobelight Kid’ on 49North we now have three wonderfully fresh takes on three different tracks from the album.

First up we have Kassian who tackle ‘Floating’ and they step up to the mark with grace and turn in a peak time, hypnotic, yet melodic, tech house groover that will light up any dancefloor.

Next Borai takes on ‘Another World’ and using the sweeping analogue strings from the original he lets them soar over funk fuelled shuYling hats and clattering snares. He draws you in gently and when the bass drops, buckle up for the ride !

The third and final remix comes from none other than Legowelt. His no holes barred high energy take on ‘Serendipity’ is full of analogue warmth and grabs you right from the start. Soul Clap’s House of EFUNK label record label celebrates the 10th anniversary of their party of the same name that’s been ongoing each year at Movement Festival since 2014. The EFUNK party is commemorated with a 4-track house compilation that showcases some of the city’s finest talent. DJ Minx’s late night soulful house affair 'Sweet' bubbles with her seductive vocals set against percolating rhythms, romantic chords, and funky trumpets. Marcellus Pittman’s '888 In The Groove' is a chugging instrumental house jam that is surrounded in swirling synth arpeggios and cosmic pads centered by a hefty kick and meaty bass line. Mike (Agent X) Clark’s 'Where You Get That Funk From' pays reimagines the bright funk of Parliament-Funkadelic inside of a brooding and dank deep house beat with a loping bass line. Cyan85 has become a real reference for all electro heads since his debut release back in 2019. His new LP on Curtis Electronix is a jaw dropping journey on those Motorways we all have ridden in a way or another. The vocoded vocals, reminiscent of those Greats, the squelchy bass lines ripping up the 808 riffs and the sulphuric synth lines will drive you from darkness into light and back again, defining, at the same time, the quality signature of this record. DEFECTED HONOURS FRANKIE KNUCKLES WITH SPECIAL EDITION ‘HOUSE MASTERS’ VINYL

Defected celebrates the life and legacy of house music pioneer Frankie Knuckles with a limited-edition vinyl offering of his notable ‘House Masters’ release.

Marking ten years since his passing, join Defected in honouring the enduring legacy of house music pioneer. All proceeds of ‘House Masters: Frankie Knuckles’ will be donated to Frankie Knuckles Foundation as it was when the compilation was originally released back in April 2015.

“Frankie Knuckles, whom many consider to be one of the architects of house music is still highly influential to a new generation. Since his untimely passing ten years ago it has been incredible to see the continued outpouring of love and respect that he has received. His legacy is why the Frankie Knuckles Foundation exists. Through our work we honour him by supporting initiatives that he was passionate about: music education, AIDS and diabetes research, prevention and LGBTQIA+ youth homelessness. This commemorative vinyl release of ‘House Masters’ in association with Defected will allow us to do just that!”
