James “jit” Pennington a.k.a. The Suburban Knight has the honor of techno nobility; with a warrior ethos he loyally defends Detroit around the world. The Knights tracks are legendary and his service to the underground code compels him to come to the aid of Cryovac. "Lectrasonic” activates a hypersensitive conga rattling the night air and through swelling synth predatory melody becomes prey to a breaking kick.

Mike Petrack is a cool customer with an easy style and his tracks are the same. Petrack’s Info Lines record label is the latest concoction from this ever innovating techno collaborator. “Holy Redeemer '' rises with an infectious melody through bossa nova rhythm to a point of spiritual awareness inside a natural funk.

A.garcia & M. Kretsch are a team that have learned to work in unison to develop all parts of a space with sound. Their construction and deconstruction of the techno sound is a reflection of a spartan Detroit ethos. “Invasion” is a 4/4 minimal rocker that rings to life with an eerie synth attacking with waves of effect bringing a tone of other worldly dread.

Mollison Folson a.k.a. Body Mechanic brings his gregarious personality to all genres he delves into. He is a musician of instrument and computer with a focus on freeky love music. “Everything” is a smooth and jazzy minimal mover that harmonizes synth over a funky bass line.

García tends the cryovac from conception to press; combining with Mike Kretsch to create a unique minimal sound. Mr. Joshooa has the tools and know how to describe his personality as his work. He swims the Detroit techno-sphere wearing many hats, and is always pushing techno forward by any means necessary. Cryovac is a vehicle for the rebel spirit; we hope you listen to it.

The Cat Lover E.P. starts with Mr. Joshooa taking his time weaving a slow funky grind. “Horse Hockey’ is the name of this 4/4 two step that gallops and bangs its way through cinematic synth rises, heroic harmony, and crunchy to smooth samples. Mr. Joshooa's mischievousness is on full display with his second jam “fuck around”. Tumbling samples form a bop that is maneuvered playfully through a hectic arrangement. Side 2 is a. garcia and Mike Kretsch’s domain. Their first effort minimally clicks and rings into a soulful melody; popping rhythm holds your body to terra firma so your mind can “spacetravel”. B2 ,”meerkat”, opens with a raw kick on top of marmic synth evolving into a dramatic techno drive turning and shaking along a desolate road.

A.Garcia’s subtle drone rides waves of synth in an offering of minimal ease. His moody atmosphere turns tone in soulful harmony; while simple drumming builds to a nonchalant bop. Cryovac Recordings seeks out characters that give depth to the soundscape of Detroit’s Underground. Cryovac individuals believe in their path and stand for their art. Ray7 is a multifaceted musical being surviving an ever evolving technosphere. He is an unknown hero that holds his own sonicly on any side of the planet. Ray7 provides the power needed for the Cryovac machine to hatch a new plot. Cryovac exists due to the efforts of craftsmen and artists that work together to make something unique.
Side A starts with an ancient Zulu chant that provides protection as well as a funky sort of techno break pop. The next track grinds in to a ruff and gritty narration of ghetto mind-set under the influence of classic electro. A constant roll moves the last track into addition and subtraction inside of a spartan groove that breaks and turns with strength.
Side B opens with a busy 4/4 be-bop lackadaisically drifting with dreamy synth over the chatter of voice, hi-hats, and reverb broken down by a 303 buzzing. Track two is a dark and sloppy incomprehensible subliminal sing-a-long building and ebbing around a stark kick and clap.

The subject of Cryovac #11 is a remix of Jason Garcia’s track “I Got People” originally on Cryovac #8. The first duo to take on the task is Prosthetic Hands (Keith Kemp & Joshua Harrison) they set the pace with a warped out mental bender drilling over smooth synth. Next is Kero who delivers a myopically Spartan cut that glitches and breaks through-out its’ evolution. Next in the rotation is Jefferson & Woodward (Jason Garcia & Derrick Thompson) banging out a funky rocker that moves and shakes with minimal gusto. Last but not least is A. In this way, Cryovac works to preserve the time and space around its’ artists identities. Who they are is translated into tone and vibration, which is captured onto vinyl by Garcia himself. Cryovac remains creative and searching to maintain a personal sound. Kimyon Huggins(METROPLEX) is a painter, musician, thinker and a lover of life. He pulls together concepts that inspire, and informally applies them to his funky sound. This sound has been crafted from a wondering nature and a deep respect for history. Kimyon Huggins is one of a few that continually break the mold.
