SCI+TEC celebrates a pivotal moment in its history with the release of I Feel Speed (2025 Remixes), a special project revisiting one of Dubfire’s earliest solo works and one of the label’s foundational releases. Originally released in 2007, Dubfire’s cover of Love and Rockets’ “I Feel Speed” marked a bold venture into uncharted territory, with the Grammy-winning artist taking on vocal duties himself to reimagine the iconic ballad.

In Dubfire’s own words, “Throughout my career, I’ve made no secret of my love—bordering on worship—for Love and Rockets (and, of course, Bauhaus). Tackling their soft ballad ‘I Feel Speed’ in 2007 was a daunting but transformative experience. Over the years, fans and colleagues have kept their love for that cover alive, which makes this new remix package even more meaningful.”

This release brings together a stellar list of artists, each offering a distinctive interpretation of the classic. Stephan Bodzin adds his signature emotive touch, while Yulia Niko dives deep into hypnotic textures. highlights include Luke Slater, Moscoman, Oliver Huntemann, Chris Liebing, Tiga and co-producing two
tracks on the legendary Underworld’s ‘Barking’ album. A true artist, he has always been heavily invested
in exploring boundaries or audio and visual technologies, which he displayed more than ever with his
HYBRID show. A two-year world tour with a goal to reinvent the concert experience in 2015, also became
his muse for his retrospective album ‘A Decade Of Dubfire’. A collection of all his biggest tracks and
remixes from the last decade, released in 2017. It may come as a surprise to many, with so many
landmark releases, that Ali ‘Dubfire’ Shirazinia hasn't yet released a totally solo album, until now.
EVOLV is an 11-track visionary into the mind of Dubfire to be released on his long-standing label
SCI+TEC. It’s concept? The journey of the ‘hybrid’ being and its evolution, which kicks off with ‘Dark
Matter’ and ‘Dust & Gas’ set a brooding atmosphere. The rougher percussion, and eerie lead in ‘Dark
Matter’ is accompanied by a stripped back sound and glitchy vocals sitting in a spaced-out atmosphere in
‘Dust & Gas’. Its deep and minimal drum work is exceptional. ‘Escape’, a deep, dark and pulsating track
that sets the tone for the body of work on the album. Coupled with ‘Elevation’ and it’s understated arpNew Release Information
and crisp percussion for the second single. ‘Bottom Dweller’ give you two different versions, the original
is straight forward, yet effective for a late-night head down cut, where the ‘Meltdown Mix’ takes a minimal
path, and faster pace. ‘Swerve’ sees Dubfire return to that stripped back sound with heavy swinging
percussion, a landmark and much-loved element in his music. Sonically, the journey so far has been like
a dystopian landscape, but ‘Decent’ brings a kaleidoscope of colour and sound before dropping into the
‘CHALLNGR’ duo. ‘CHALLNGR 1.1’ is perhaps the most contemporary track on the album. Dubfire picks
up the rhythm for a full-on dancefloor focused track. It’s no-nonsense techno at its best, with heaps of
pure energy. Two versions appear on the album, ‘CHALLNGR 1.2’ retains the BPM but reigns in the
percussion with a snappier approach and a more euphoric warped effect. Closing out, is a special digital
only track ‘The Bells Tolls’. This one drives the energy back to ground level, into a more unsettling and
mysterious end to a killer 11 track debut album. The music will also be accompanied by a new
audio-visual show from the revered DubLab team based in Portugal. Test shows at DGTL (Amsterdam),
Caprices (Crans-Montana) and in Sofia between 2018 and 2019 had created lots of buzz just before the
COVID-19 pandemic shut the world down for two years. But now the stage is firmly set for the new album
and live shows. As music evolves, so does Dubfire. EVOLV is a special project from this pioneering
producer showing his interpretation of techno in his own unique vision.

SCI+TEC. It’s concept? The journey of the ‘hybrid’ being and its evolution, which kicks off with ‘Dark
Matter’ and ‘Dust & Gas’ set a brooding atmosphere. The rougher percussion, and eerie lead in ‘Dark
Matter’ is accompanied by a stripped back sound and glitchy vocals sitting in a spaced-out atmosphere in
‘Dust & Gas’. Its deep and minimal drum work is exceptional. ‘Escape’, a deep, dark and pulsating track
that sets the tone for the body of work on the album. Coupled with ‘Elevation’ and it’s understated arpNew Release Information
and crisp percussion for the second single. ‘Bottom Dweller’ give you two different versions, the original
is straight forward, yet effective for a late-night head down cut, where the ‘Meltdown Mix’ takes a minimal
path, and faster pace. ‘Swerve’ sees Dubfire return to that stripped back sound with heavy swinging
percussion, a landmark and much-loved element in his music. Sonically, the journey so far has been like
a dystopian landscape, but ‘Decent’ brings a kaleidoscope of colour and sound before dropping into the
‘CHALLNGR’ duo. ‘CHALLNGR 1.1’ is perhaps the most contemporary track on the album. Dubfire picks
up the rhythm for a full-on dancefloor focused track. It’s no-nonsense techno at its best, with heaps of
pure energy. Two versions appear on the album, ‘CHALLNGR 1.2’ retains the BPM but reigns in the
percussion with a snappier approach and a more euphoric warped effect. Closing out, is a special digital
only track ‘The Bells Tolls’. This one drives the energy back to ground level, into a more unsettling and
mysterious end to a killer 11 track debut album. The music will also be accompanied by a new
audio-visual show from the revered DubLab team based in Portugal. Test shows at DGTL (Amsterdam),
Caprices (Crans-Montana) and in Sofia between 2018 and 2019 had created lots of buzz just before the
COVID-19 pandemic shut the world down for two years. But now the stage is firmly set for the new album
and live shows. As music evolves, so does Dubfire. EVOLV is a special project from this pioneering
producer showing his interpretation of techno in his own unique vision.

SCI+TEC has been successfully growing its family of artists over the last decade, with
now over 200 releases, label owner Dubfire continues to nurture new talented
producers, as well as those more established. Together the label has created a steady
stream of top-notch underground releases year upon year.
Next up is this wonky four-
tracker from Guti and David Gtronic. Regulars when playing together, this is the debut
release from the South Americans as a collaboration team.

Opening with stompy ‘You Will Be Mine’ the duo are quickly into their stride with a solid
bass groove supported by weird sweeps, 8-bit FX and vocal snips. In dub form, the
groove is further stripped back for complete dance floor domination.

Over on the flipside, ‘Acid Ramen’ opens with a bongo groove ably assisted by acid
touches and percussive energy. Covering bass, mid and high frequencies, the interplay of
acid layers will make Josh Wink blush! Truly exceptional modern-day acid house.
Rounding out the pack, ‘Pin Pun’ is a straight house vibe with full body kit added.

Keys in the ignition, no turning back: Dubfire and Miss Kitten are about to take us on another late night road trip. And this time there are two very special ways to 'Ride'…
Plotting new routes from where they last dropped us off in 2014 with 'Exit', and presented in Miss Kittin's own artwork, the two long term friends and musical kindred spirits cover a side each with two version journeys you'll never forget.

Kittin jumps straight on the autobahn in a tank-shaped techno hummer. Thumping the tarmac down with every gas-guzzling kickdrum, lights blur and trace and the mission gathers momentum as we cruise almost majestically into a brighter unknown.
Dubfire brings us back home via the trusty widescreen house plains. Roads running parallel with the grand, emotional highways he once took as Deep Dish; the vanishing point is far on the horizon where a vast sky of twinkling stars opens up with a feeling you could ride for days on end.

Unhurried, restrained and timelessly crisp and futuristic: trips like this don't come about very often… The keys are in the ignition, care to take a 'Ride?'

Sicilian-born, Amsterdam-based Fran LF returns to Nastia's imprint with three Techno tracks built over a year of studio work, each one telling part of a single story that unfolds across the EP. The narrative moves through different chapters, starting with tracks that shift and transform as they play out, building tension through evolving elements rather than straightforward drops. These are straight-up warehouse cuts - the kind that start one way and shift into something heavier as they unfold. Dubby atmospheres that harden into driving rhythms, basslines that anchor the groove, and synths that evolve throughout.
Closing the record is a remix from Sicilian producer LPV, a close friend and admirer who reworks "Tsufuru Relaxation" with his signature dark, driving approach. He strips it down, adds a relentless bassline, and gives the track a completely different, moody and ethereal energy while respecting what made the original work.
Solid dancefloor techno with enough depth to keep things interesting.

James Baker aka ReKaB passed away very recently and so unexpectedly. He had only submitted the music for his new EP for YORE less than two weeks before his sudden passing.

The original title was meant to be "Let the Machines Talk", but we decided to change it to "The Last Talk of the Machines."

It feels not only sad but also surreal to hear music that was created only shortly before, knowing James is no longer with us in embodied existence. This is the very last talk of his loved Machines.

Toronto/Berlin producer and Big Trouble Records founder Andre Zimmer has emerged as one of house and techno’s hottest commodities, fresh off his scorching fabric Records release with Carlita. Now he joins DJ Tennis’s Life and Death label with the announcement of his 4-track Kwon Anthem EP, out September 19.
