'Red & Black' is a heartfelt homage to Franki Juncaj's Albanian heritage, evident not only in its title, which echoes the national colors, but also in the seamless integration of traditional Balkan instruments. 'Ishalla' hints at the influence and inspiration drawn from Middle Eastern and Balkan musical traditions. Bringing this EP to a poignant close is 'Dua' a title derived from Albanian, signifying "I want," adding a meaningful linguistic layer to this captivating musical journey. More

Kashkaval - Is a cheese originating from the Balkans. When producing this electro track, it all came together quite swiftly, to be honest. I only needed one final element to complete it. Coincidentally, my dad was discussing this cheese at the time, so I recorded him talking about it on my phone and seamlessly integrated it into the track. I applied various effects and kept it subtle in the mix, making it almost unrecognizable in Albanian. The chords fell into place after that.

Constant Sorrow - This song took shape during the pandemic. I had nearly completed the concept, and for some time before that, I had been in conversation with producer and vocalist Keith Caden. I believed his vocal talents would be a perfect fit for this track. I shared the track and its title with him, and he subsequently wrote the vocals, even contributing harmonica and a few other embellishments. I'm particularly fond of this electro-style track, and Keith's vocals truly bring a unique and special dimension to it.

From The Ashes - Electro played a significant role in this album. When I mention electro, it's not the typical style of tracks but rather a more unique approach. The vocals on this album truly infuse profound meaning into the songs, and I have a deep appreciation for the way the chords resonate and create a dynamic bounce in the tracks.

Crown Royal - There's an amusing backstory to the essence of this track. "Crown Royal" harkens back to a liquor we used to enjoy back in the day. We'd have our Crown Royal and pair it with those Black & Mild cigars – quite the combo! This track was born from the memories of those late-night drives back home from the club. More

The Motech label has been building a high reputation of late but it's actually been three years since co-owner, Detroit's DJ 3000 (Franki Juncaj) released a 12inch of his own. Putting that to rights, he delivers 'Take Me Away', due for release in April and featuring a deadly remix by Truncate. The original version of 'Take Me Away' is a deep and hypnotic builder with a relentless groove that stands astride Detroit Techno and tough House, a style that DJ 3000 has championed over the years.

Gary Martin releases his second sequential EP on Motech Records, the 'This is It' EP. The Ep features two more exclusive tracks, 'This is It' a driving composition accented with piano and synth patterns and subtle funky movement, and 'Galaxy Style' a percussive, building composition expertly laced with muted samples and synth progressions. Included on this EP are two remixes from techno veterans Mark Broom and Rolando. Broom takes on 'This is It' chopping the original into a hyper dance floor drubbing burner. Rolando re-treats 'Galaxy Style' into a composition that unfolds as it progresses, bathed in signature Rolando production elements. More

Martin's Escape From South Warren LP will arrive on October 5th on the label operated by Frank Juncaj, AKA DJ 3000. Juncaj calls Martin an "unsung hero of Detroit techno" and cites his label, Teknotika Records, which has been running since 1993, as a key influence. The first remix EP, due out September 21st, features reworks by Robert Hood and DJ 3000 in addition to two original cuts. Mark Broom and Rolando contribute to the second EP, which arrives on October 12th. More

The much anticipated album by Another Taste released on Space Grapes — an eclectic ooze of boogie, funk, and obscure disco. Comes in a Tip-on sleeve.

Another Taste's debut brings together a blend of boogie, 70’s funk and obscure disco - birthed from unearthing forgotten sounds and reinventing them for the modern era. A recipe they’ve been cooking up successfully over the last years in the studio, through their label Space Grapes and on tour through some of Europe’s finest stages.

Another Taste is a Rotterdam-born concept band formed by a group of longtime friends, consisting of Bobby van Putten (keys), Bob Roche (bass), Barend Lippens (keys) and Teun van Zoggel (drums).

Inspired by the obscurity and the do-it-yourself approach of private press culture of the late 1970s and 80s, their first releases were mostly a product of late night sessions between the four of them at the studio of their co-producer Danilo Plessow (MCDE), leading to the founding of Space Grapes Records.

The band’s first songs were released under various pseudonyms such as Mad Honey, GALXTC or Jambonne and quickly gathered them a loyal following and support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Kenny Dope and many more.

Another Taste ripples their sound beyond the studio and onto the stage. In their live performances they introduce additional band members in Sarina Voorn (Vox), Diogo Carvalho (percussion) and Florian Verhagen (guitar). A core group with whom they’ve played at prestigious festivals such as Worldwide or Kappa Futur and legendary venues such as Jazz Cafe London, New Morning Paris, and Tresor Berlin.

The March-scheduled album release is the latest iteration of the band’s evolution. From the A-side opener "Turn Up" to the B-side closer "Perfect Night," the album is a testament to Another Taste’s ceaseless creative exploration. Rhythm On The Loose “Break Of Dawn” is quite simply one of House Music’s all time classics. Producer Geoff Hibbert was inspired by seeing dawn break on an Italian coast line to draw inspiration from Moby’s anthemic “Go” and disco gem “Let No Man Put Asunder” by First Choice to create his loving homage to the UK Rave scene. Network set up a label “The One After D” to release a limited edition press of the instant classic to create demand. One of the first copies was picked up by Kevin Saunderson and his relentless playing of the track helped fuel interest in the USA. The first release on Network in 1991 established the track as iconic. That original mix is here and still sounds as fresh as ever. Perfect in fact. The 12” also contains remastered versions of the 1995 remixes by Rhythm On The Loose, Strike and Stonebridge. More

Rayko the Spanish Disco Producer and DJ extraordinaire has been busy in his Madrid based Studio burning the midnight oil to deliver Vadillo Vice Volume two.

Four reworked funk fuelled bass heavy cuts, tried and tested by the man himself on dancefloors across the globe and due to be released on vinyl only later in the year.

Deeply rooted in the golden era of the 70s and 80s, Rayko’s influences are masterfully interpreted and transformed into modern day dancefloor bombs, and are a key signature sound of his long established label Rare Wiri (Since 2008) an outlet for his productions alongside other likeminded artists such as Daniele Baldelli, Man Parrish, Gazeebo, Ilija Rudman, Ichisan, Spirit Catcher, Mushrooms Project, Eric Duncan among many others.
