With a DIY punk attitude and bags of charm the band soon became a mainstay of TOTPs, Smash Hits, the NME and The Face. “Deep Sea Skiving” contained the first of their string of immaculate, self-penned, ramshackle, charmingly naive pop gemstones. Originally released in 1990 by Happy Mondays, the album captured the chaotic, euphoric spirit of the Madchester movement, blending indie rock, acid house rhythms and funk grooves into a sound that helped reshape British alternative music.
Featuring era-defining tracks such as "Step On" and "Kinky Afro," the record became both a commercial breakthrough and a cultural snapshot of a generation fuelled by dance culture and Northern nightlife. More than three decades later, its grooves, attitude and genre-blurring production still
resonate strongly with contemporary audiences, influencing modern indie and electronicartists alike.
This 2026 reissue of Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches, around its 35th anniversary tour, and in multiple formats, marks the first major reissue campaign for one of the defining records of the late-'80s/early-'90s British club and indie crossover era.

With a DIY punk attitude and bags of charm the band soon became a mainstay of TOTPs, Smash Hits, the NME and The Face. “Deep Sea Skiving” contained the first of their string of immaculate, self-penned, ramshackle, charmingly naive pop gemstones. The album includes five hit singles: ‘Shy Boy’, ‘Really Saying Something’, ‘Cheers Then’, ‘Aie A Mwana’, and ‘Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye)’. Bananarama are often cited as the UK’s most successful ever girl group with 5 UK singles and 10 top 10's. They were the girl group that defined the eighties with their run of pop hits which soundtracked the lives of fans around the world. The news of Bananarama’s reunion, after nearly 30 years, was met with universal approval and saw the band celebrated all over again. In 2017 the trio reassembled for a UK Tour in a pop reunion only dreamt of in the wildest imaginations by many quarters. The band reunited in their original line up for the first time in years. For many Siobhan stepping back into her natural habitat once again is pop’s very own version of Morrissey and Marr re-uniting. To celebrate the 30 year anniversary of Shakespears Sister’s seminal album ‘Hormonally Yours’,London Records have announced special edition releases across multiple formats.
A double platinum and top 3 UK album ‘Hormonally Yours’ secured Siobhan Fahey and Marcella Detroit a place in British pop history, spawning the single Stay - which spent a staggering eight consecutive weeks at the top of the UK charts - and winning the duo an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contemporary Song Collection.
‘Hormonally Yours’ also features singles ‘Goodbye Cruel World’ and ‘I Don’t Care’, tackles friendships gone wrong on ‘My Sixteenth Apology’, powerful, dangerous attraction on ‘Emotional Thing’ and documents a friend’s coming out on ‘Are We In Love Yet?’ Fan favourite ‘The Trouble With Andre’, the full-throttle glam-blues of ‘Cat Woman and glorious finale ‘Hello (Turn Your Radio On) is the album’s glorious finale: an exhalation; a glorious, earth-shuddering moment that recalls the epic melancholy of David Bowie’s ‘Five Years’ and The Beatles’ ‘A Day In The Life’.
