Terry Francis - Reggae's House
Rewind to 1997 and Uk's finest clubs are alight to the tech-house sounds emanating from South London. Terry Francis, a key figure in the scene, needs no introduction, Fabric resident, Wiggle co-founder, as well as part of the seminal Housey Doingz collective, 'Dubtown' was his first solo outing, all 4 tracks are instant classics, and the EP itself has become his most sought after release to date. The tracks themselves are varied and brilliant, EP opener 'Hannah's House' kicks off with an infectious bass line and builds with expertly programmed percussion. Simple yet effective riffs intertwine with warm pads and deep chord stabs. 'Hannah's Dub' strips the track down, eerie synths add a tuneful swagger without ever losing dancefloor appeal. 'As You Cry' broadens the sonic palette with swinging rhythms, crisp snares and dreamy chords that deliver the peak time funk and bump. Lastly 'Reggae's House' is a deep dub infused jam, acidic 303 touches combine effortlessly with pads and stabs, whilst echoing bursts of percussion make some real tripped out musical moments. All 4 tracks are deep winners, tweaked to maximum effect by a master of the genre. A rarity for decades now available once more. 'Dubtown' has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Terry Francis, lovingly remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. Dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at your favourite reissue label - Mint Condition!!

terry francis - Took From Me
2
terry francis - Clint's Groove
Terry Francis' name is synonymous with London's mid 90's to early noughties underground Tech-House heyday. A longtime underground DJ and tastemaker who has graced the booth in every major club you'd care to mention, Francis was also a prodigious producer and label owner who found himself working alongside the infamous SWAG mob and heading up the now seminal labels 'Wiggle' and 'Eye 4 Sound' labels. With a fervent international DJ schedule and numerous productions appearing all over the place, a residency at Fabric, major label remixes piling up and everything else in-between, Francis' name has been solidified as a bonafide UK legend, a force to be reckoned with. Let's rewind to 1999, Surreal Records, a subsidiary of SWAG, 'Took From Me' drops and is an instant classic.... even now, a decade later, it's a record that peels the roof off a night-club (in the right hands, of course!) It's all here inside 'Took From Me', the sparse, chopped up drum programming, ominous floor-shaking basslines and weirdly warped vocal samples that make you wonder. B-side see's the equally sparse yet compelling 'Clint's Groove' spreading out over one whole side of wax, it's all filtered rolling drums, aquatic sirens and a monstrous bassline that could easily swallow London town whole! Insanity! This one will easily slide into your record for months, if not years. Essential transmissions from London's underbelly, often imitated.....

Electroliners - Loose Caboose (Bassbin Twins Remix)
Mint Condition - A record label focused on excavating the outer fringes of classic House and Techno. Unreleased mixes, classics, overlooked gems and never heard before material, mined from the last 30+ years of contemporary dance music are the order of the day. From Chicago, Detroit and New York to London, San Francisco and beyond. Mint Condition have got their digging hats on to bring you exclusive heat and those rarer than rare jams that have been in your wants list for years. Dig in!
A serendipitous encounter at an SF record store in the early 90s brought together local music aficionados DJ Dan and Jim Hopkins. Their collaboration birthed the legendary Electroliners project, channeling their shared passion for underground and funky sounds into the iconic left-coast rave anthem, 'Loose Caboose', now firmly nestled in your hands. Pooling their musical prowess, Dan and Jim embarked on a journey of sonic exploration, meticulously crafting their signature sound by dissecting samples and breakbeats, infusing the musical landscape with a revitalizing energy. As their reputation grew within the local scene, they found themselves tasked with supplying a track for a promotional CD-ROM by a burgeoning software company.
Through marathon sessions of digging, slicing, sequencing, and exchanging snippets over phone calls, Electroliners hit their creative stride. It was only natural to unveil their creation in the raw intensity of a live rave setting. Thanks to a connection with DJ DRC, they seized the opportunity, and the rest is history. Copies of the record flew off the shelves by the thousands locally, and its overseas acclaim, spearheaded by licensing through XL Recordings in the UK, cemented its status as a bona fide underground classic. But what exactly is an Electroliner you might ask? Jim sheds light on the inspiration: “I delved into books on trains at the public library,” he reveals. “Among them, 'Electroliner' caught my eye, a train line in the Midwest. Given the track's pulsating train horn, 'Electroliner' and 'Loose Caboose' simply clicked.”
'Loose Caboose' is an all-time classic, and still causes much damage on the dancefloor today. Yet another unmissable addition to the MC reissue catalogue, fully licensed from the artists, mastered and cut by Curve Pusher, and available once again available for purchase. Do not sleep. More

Mint Condition - A record label focused on excavating the outer fringes of classic House and Techno. Unreleased mixes, classics, overlooked gems and never heard before material, mined from the last 30+ years of contemporary dance music are the order of the day. From Chicago, Detroit and New York, London, Leeds, Berlin and beyond. Mint Condition have got their digging hats on to bring you exclusive heat and those rarer than rare jams that have been in your wants list for years. Dig in...... Following on from highly successful releases on seminal labels such as Surreal, Low Pressings and their own Geek imprint, Andy Davies & Dave Clements, aka Spincycle, unleashed 'Making Faces' on Bushwacka's legendary Oblong Imprint. Originally released in 2002, this release perfectly showcases the duo's unique take on the tech-house & garage sounds that fuelled the UK underground. Over the next 2 decades this classic would become an in demand rarity, as the eye watering discogs prices will attest, so a reissue has been long overdue. 'Making Faces' opens with infectious bongo led percussion, building with crisp hats and snares, the heavyweight bass is deep and warm, dreamy chords add to the atmosphere, before a soaring lead line that oozes with techy soul, builds and drops in all the right places. Next up, UKG inspired 'Twister' is more raw and uncompromising in its approach. Energetic swinging rhythms underpin a monstrous sub bass line to die for, as if that wasn't enough, the duo manage to add yet another rolling bass line showcasing production and programming skills of the highest order. This is indeed a killer 12", packed with energy and heat that sounds as fresh and exciting as ever, and what's more your dancefloors will shudder!! Red Seal - Hula Loop
Only a handful of releases exist from Red Seal, but it's quality over quantity that is on display with these guys.
The 1996 original was released on Rob's Records, a label founded by the legendary Rob Gretton (RIP), former Joy Division
and New Order manager, as well as Factory Records and Hacienda co-owner. Penned by Red Seal and produced by
Martin Moscrop, of A Certain Ratio fame, this 3 tracker would set the World's dancefloors alight and become a much lauded
and bonafide classic. 'Spinning Top' kicks off with flanged hats and dark brooding synths, the breakbeat is tough and delivers a potent punch.
The wam analogue bass keeps the track moving throughout, the distinctive lead line and arpeggios build and drop
in all the right places. 'Twister' continues the vibe, the heavy weight bass and top drawer percussion deliver the funk.
The deft synth programming gives this track a lighter feel, but is no less energetic. Finally 'Hula Loop' heads off into tripped
out acid territory, the break beats roll, and the infectious 303 undulates in a way that both captivates and enthrals.
This EP is packed with peak time heat, an essential rarity sought after by diggers around the globe. Unavailable for decades,
a repress has most definitely been long overdue. 'Spinning Top' has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement
of Red Seal, lovingly remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit,
licensed and released. Dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at your favourite reissue label -

The Delinquents - Disc
2
The Delinquents - Funktional
Mint Condition would like to dedicate this release to the life of Nathan Coles, who sadly passed away on February 12th 2023. A true tech-house originator and underground party starter, his productions laid down a blueprint for the tech-house sound that has become a global phenomena today. A much lauded DJ & producer, he graced the decks of the best clubs globally. As well as his solo productions, Nathan had multiple collaborative projects, Housey Doingz, Mashupheadz, Two Right Wrongans, Get F@cked, to name but a few, that saw him tackle tech-house, deep house, breaks and electro with such skillful aplomb. The now highly sought after original appeared on Wiggle in 2000, and for this release Nathan teams up with his longtime Wiggle partner, and legend of the scene, Terry Francis for 2 fierce tech-house jams under their 'Delinquents' alias. A-Side 'Disc' opens with heavy kicks and speaker rattling percussion. The hypnotic 303-line builds, layered synths add to the tension, then comes the drop where infectious chord stabs enter the fray. B-Side - 'Funktional' takes a more stripped back approach, the bass line and percussion delivers a groove capable of destroying any discerning dancefloor. Darker acid and synths riffs build around the melody to deliver a bass heavy roller of the highest order that sounds as fresh, exciting & relevant today as it did over 2 decades ago. This slab of wax is an essential and key release in the evolution of the UK underground that we hope celebrates Nathan's dedication, musical vision and positive energy. His unique talent leaves behind a legacy that populates legendary labels such as Wiggle, Surreal, The End, Eukahouse, Swag, Eye 4 Sound, 10 Kilo and Plastic City. 'Discfunktional' has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Terry Francis and Nathan Coles, lovingly remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. Safar - Tangerine Train (Last Acid Train To Euphoria Mix)
With acclaimed releases on Strictly Rhythm under his belt, much lauded Californian DJ and producer Safar followed up his early success on L.A. based Aqua Boogie. Originally released in 1996, 'Tangerine Train' would become his most sought after release, rightly garnering the attention of the most discerning DJs, record collectors and music heads alike as the eye watering Discogs prices will attest. 4 complimentary mixes of 'Tangerine Train' feature here, so get ready to jump on board. The 'Absolute Runaway Train Mix' opens proceedings with driving beats and railroad bells. An undulating acid line builds and builds, adding chords that lead to a dramatic breakdown, train FX and strings add to the tension, reaching a mesmeric peak when a killer breakbeat kicks in and the acid line returns. Next up the 'Train Beats Mix' cuts the track back to the percussion and FX for those wanting to get creative in the mix. 'Lost In A Tunnel Of Dub' has all the classic elements of its predecessors, although programmed in a slightly more subtle way, the percussion remains as crisp as ever and a classic organ riff lightens the mood without ever losing the dancefloor energy. Last, but by no means least the 'Last Acid Train To Euphoria Mix' goes on a deeper hypnotic trip, losing the train FX, but adding an ethereal vocal to devastating effect. Whichever mix you choose to play you can't go wrong, all are worthy of your attention and hard earned cash. The sound design and execution are second to none and what's more your dancefloors will shudder. "Tangerine Train' has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Safar, lovingly remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original DATs especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. The Delinquents - G.B.H. (Groovy Bouncy House)
To kick off 2023 in fine style, Mint Condition welcomes the long awaited return of OG tech-house legends Terry Francis & Nathan Coles AKA The Delinquents. 'Breaking The Law', originally released in 1998 on the seminal Wiggle imprint, typifies that warm, bumpin' analogue tech-house sound that's become so highly sought after in recent years. EP opener 'Break & Enter' brings the break-beat heat, seismic bass drops lead into a heavy rollin' b-line.
Synth washes and eerie chords creep into the fray, whilst the potent percussion keeps the dancefloor energy to the fore. Over on the flip, the curiously titled T.D.A. (To Danca Alot) is more subtle in its approach. Deftly programmed breaks, deliver the punch, bump and the funk, there's low slung bass aplenty leading into an ever so effective rugged 4 to the floor beat. Lastly G.B.H. (Groovy Bouncy House) is exactly that. Trippy dub FX and subaquatic bass characterise this tough swinging tech-house groover before soaring chords lift the track to the next level. Whether it's for the early hours, peak hours or after hours this EP has got you covered. A true in demand rarity transmitted from the heart of the UK Underground and sounding as fresh and relevant as ever. 'Breaking The Law' has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Terry Francis and Nathan Coles, lovingly remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. Leon De Winter - Apollo Jazz
2
Leon De Winter - Metamat
Tobias Menguser, AKA Leon De Winter, was a very influential figure in the 90's Frankfurt techno scene, releasing around 100 records under various aliases, including collaborations with Ricardo Villalobos, but it was his Leon De Winter alias that really caught the ears of legendary London label Eukahouse, who originally releases this 12" all the way back in 1997. A one-off, it is not only unique in its sound design but also genre defying, spanning deep house, tech-house, techno, electro and breaks. A-Side 'Apollo Jazz' is truly that, sounding like it was composed from a freeform jam on a trip to the Moon. Opening with emotive chords, the track lifts off and builds, melodies effortlessly twist and turn, superbly pulling together a variety of well crafted synths, bass and percussion whilst keeping the energy to the fore. Over to the B-Side, 'Metamat', is bold and more playful in its execution, more sonic trickery abounds as the opening riffs and breakbeat percussion give way to a solid 4/4. The bass is as memorable as it is quirky, but again it's the strength in the way all the elements build and combine that creates some real tripped-out musical moments without ever losing its dance floor appeal. This is one of Tobias's most sought after releases and it's no wonder his collaborative work with Ricardo Villalobos is legendary. The tracks themselves have remained exciting and relevant, achieving cult status amongst the most discerning DJs, record collectors and music heads alike. Legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Tobias Menguser, lovingly remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original DATs especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. DJ Profile - Prove It
2
DJ Profile - Realization
Back in 1997, UK house legend Charles Webster, this time under his DJ Profile alias, unleashed these killer tracks. Originally released on the sorely missed London nightclub The End's label, this fine 12" set a benchmark for what would become a very exciting time for the UK's underground scene, both tracks are widely considered to be up there with Charles' most sought after work. A-side 'Prove It' kicks off with swinging drums that deliver the funk, percussive elements rattle & shake and the low slung bass line keeps the track firmly on the dancefloor. The soothing chords, acid overtones and the evocative vocal hook are mesmerising and soulful. Over on the flip, 'Realization' is a bumping analogue monster. The kicks are solid, the snares swing and an infectious rolling bass line carries the track throughout. Darker acidic touches sit alongside delicate synth riffs and emotive chords that lift, drift and lose you in a world of wonderfully woozy deep house sonics. Never has the late night dance floor sounded so good, and this slab of wax is a must have that typifies a halcyon period in underground house history. The tracks themselves have remained exciting and relevant, achieving cult status amongst the most discerning DJs, record collectors and music heads alike. Legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Charles Webster, lovingly remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. East Midlands house legend, Charles Webster, relocated to San Francisco in 1992, setting up Spirit Studios in the heart of the city and a highly productive period ensued. The 'White Powder' EP released in 1995, under Charles' Presence moniker is widely regarded as a classic of its genre, up there with any of its contemporaries on Prescription or Murk. All 4 tracks are flawless and groundbreaking in their ability to to draw together elements of soulful deep house, tribal percussion and the deep melodic tech-house sounds emerging from Europe and America's midwest into a unique whole. EP opener 'Heart' features the haunting vocals of Sarah Jay, the track builds delicately, adding dark bass, before soaring strings lead into a melodic breakdown. $10's deftly programmed drums really deliver the funk, the deep melodic synth and pad progressions are mesmerising, whilst an unforgettable bass-line underpins the journey. Over on the flip 'Giving Love' intro's with gorgeous pad before shuffling percussion and an uplifting piano turn this track into a joyous ride. Lastly 'Powder Chords' sets the controls for heart of the dance floor, heavy kicks launch a much more techno influenced affair, it's dark and brooding but no less effective in its atmosphere and execution. 'White Powder' is all killer, no filler, a highly sought after slab of wax that has achieved cult status amongst the most discerning DJs, record collectors and music heads alike. Legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Charles Webster, lovingly remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition.

Back in the early '90's California's West Coast's parties, raves and clubs began to be fueled by the emergent sound of tripped out acid breakbeats and
psychedelic house jams. Jason Drummond, AKA DJ Spun & Courtney Nielsen teamed up as Central Fire, their debut was both influential and pioneering, released in '94 on Twitch Recordings, a mainstay of the San Fran scene, it would pathe the way for what was to come. 'This Is A Shout Going Out' (Into The Future Mix) opens with infectious bubbling 303, there's breaks aplenty with expertly programmed twists and turns along the way, whilst the vocal keeps it lively throughout. The Sliced and Diced Mix sees Jim Hopkins edit the original down into a jam packed journey. Over on the flip 'Central Fire' (Yes People It's Time Pt.1 and 2) takes a more stripped back approach, a b-line and breaks that deliver the funk underpin delicate riffs, dub FX and an unforgettable flute interplay to turn this track into another devastatingly programmed episodic ride. Sound Virus - Inverted Frequencies (Xtrovert Mix)
With releases on Sabres of Paradise and Hard Hands under their collective belts, and following the success of the 'Swirl' EP, Scott James and Chris Hayne unleashed the second instalment of their Sound Virus project 'Inverted Frequencies'. Originally released in limited quantities on their own Lux Recordings label in 1995, this rarity has become in demand to DJs, taste-makers and collectors the World over. The 'Eerie Horn Mix' kicks off proceedings, soaring strings rise above an incessant bass, the percussion bumps and a potent synth riff takes this mix to another level. Next up, the 'Inverted Mix' goes deeper. Subtle delicate melodies are intertwined with emotive chords and dubbed out piano stabs that really lift the spirits.
Over on the flip the 'Xtrovert Mix' is the one for the heads, it's a more minimal affair, extending the track out to allow the elements to shine, whilst intricate drum programming keeps the mix exciting and relevant throughout. Sound Virus - Bossa Blue Dub
Having previously collaborated as SYT for releases on Sabres of Paradise and also having had releases on Hard Hands, DJ Scott James and producer, writer and musician Chris Hayne teamed up once again forming Sound Virus to share their more esoteric dancefloor visions. 'Swirl' was originally appeared in 1995, a limited vinyl only release on their own imprint Lux Recordings, First up 'Follow Your Feet' opens with haunting synths that lead into razor sharp percussion and a forceful b-line that drives the track to a mesmeric peak, whilst a repetitive vocoded vocal stirs the electro soul. 'Continuum' heads off into electo-tech territory, defty programmed breakbeats underpin the filthiest of bass lines making this track a true dancefloor devastator. 'Swirl' takes a deeper approach, with pumping bass and driving beats supporting lush chords and a subtle, chiming synth riff. EP closer 'Bossa Blue Dub' drops the tempo slightly for a more other-worldly chug, whilst remaining no less compelling. This EP is a true rarity that has achieved a cult status amongst the most discerning DJs and record collectors alike. It has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Scott James and Chris Hayne from Sound Virus and Lux Recordings, lovingly remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. Mred Marquez - Do Not Pass Go
With the UKG scene carving out it's niche, 1996 saw the all too brief, but much lauded appearance of the mysterious Mred Marquez for this excellent one-off release on Crosstown Records. Dedicating himself to the tougher, trackier & darker side of UK house and garage, this 4 tracker perfectly encapsulates his vision. 'I Release', opens with melodic chord stabs and heavy, warm analogue bass, swinging percussion drives the track on before a classic garage organ plays an unforgettable riff. 'I Realise' (Dub) strips it down and goes for a heads down vibe, a slammer of a track that never loses any of the original's devastating punch and potency. 'Nathalie X' brings the muscle, driven along by yet another monstrous speaker rattling b-line that builds and moves to an incredible peak, there's yet again top draw bumpin' drums and quintessential garage chords and keys. Lastly, 'Do Not Pass Go' is a classic sweaty basement jam. Gritty and more uncompromising in it's approach, banging kicks underpin the percussion that builds with those ever essential skipping snares and clipped hi-hats.There's hefty lo-slung bass throughout, whilst classic riffs and dubbed out chords lift the higher end. This EP is sensational and a true rarity that every home should own, 'I Realise' has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Mred Marquez and has been remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. Back to 1990 and the Uk's Bleep Techno scene is in full flow. Following the success of 'Psyche', Peter Duggal set about raising the bar yet again with his follow up 'Labyrinthe' under his new alias Demonik. Originally released on the UK's hugely influential Rham! Records, this EP perfectly soundtracked the early rave scene in the UK and beyond. Labyrinthe' itself needs no introduction, a truly mesmeric and highly sought after warehouse anthem. The previously unreleased 'Labyrinthe' (Raw Mix) keeps up the pressure. Retaining the heavyweight sub-bass, this mix heads off into a sparser world of machine made funk and rave inducing stabs, whilst skittish bleeps and tones overlay the sinister chords and strings. There's yet more gold from the vaults in the form of '6-5-0-2' a once lost, and now found, future classic of the genre, where infectious melodies interweave and really stir the electro soul. Lastly 'Frenzy' adds an uplifting synth riff, making this episodic ride a true Bleep and Bass Bomb!

Mint Condition would like to dedicate this release to the life of Andy Panayi, who sadly passed away on 28th September 2020, and all profits will be donated to the Peace Hospice in Watford, UK, who took great care of Andy towards the end of his life. Although better known for his artistic output as Stopouts and A², back in 1997 Andy and Alec Stone turned their creative skills to the emergent UK Garage scene, producing this wonderful 4 track EP of fierce garage jams under the alias Upside, a one-off, originally released on seminal UKG label Underground Classics. 'Disco Killer' opens proceedings with melodic chords before a super thick b-line rolls in to overlay those essential skipping snares and swinging percussion. As the track unfolds, mesmeric synth riffs and deep chords bring the positive energy, vibes and an atmosphere like no other. 'Vibrations' is a deeper and much more melodious affair, featuring a warm bubbling b-line, haunting piano riff, intricate classic garage keys and melancholic pads that overlay a deftly programmed breakbeat and 4/4 drum workout that delivers the funk, depth and soul. 'House It Up' brings the NYC muscle, a proper heads down bumpin' affair. There's heavy kicks and an acidic bass that builds superbly before flipping into a warm cavernous sub. Positive pads and a clipped scat vocal create a fantastic late night garage house slammer. Lastly 'Nervous Dance' picks up the pace and thump, there's more acidic overtones, a hypnotic low slung bass, luscious strings, razor sharp hi hats and gritty percussion as it hustles and bustles it's way to the middle of the dance floor. This is an essential piece of '90s UK Garage that we hope celebrates Andy's unique talent, musical vision, energy and dedication. 'Niteworks' has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Andy & Alec, also thanks to Rob and all at An Alien Recordings for helping bring this release into fruition. All the tracks have been lovingly remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at your favourite reissue label - Mint Condition!

Mint Condition continue their mission excavating the outer fringes of classic House and Techno. Unreleased mixes, classics and overlooked gems mined from the last 20+ of contemporary dance music are the order of the day. From Chicago, Detroit and New York to London and beyond, Mint Condition have got their expert digging hats on to bring you exclusive heat and those rarer than rare jams that have been on your wants list for years! Dig in....
Rewind to 1994, something brand new is stirring in the studio of the Housey Doingz crew, a fresh stripped down, swinging sort of funk emanating from the monitors. This would be their very first record as a unit and they definitely didn't know what sort of impact it would have in the coming decades. A record like this would certainly have sounded alien back then, but boy you can guarantee it caught people's ears! Kicking off with that infamous vocal sample 'Brothers' is a bonafide roller of the highest order, punctuated by dubbed out pianos too - devastating! 'Brothers Bump' is almost the 2nd part of the first cut, while they share some of the characteristics, it's it's own little world of acidic funk, try it - you might like it... 'Poet' welcomes us to the B-side, those cymbals just pull you in, almost jazz style, this one's a breaky minimal peaking number, killer. 'Magical' is the EP closer, and it's another total trippy weapon akin to the output of Holy Ghost Inc and similar outfits with it's building wall of acid and clipped vox. The whole record is so varied and brilliant it had noted journalist, producer and DJ Dave Mothersole proclaim "the first tech house record is arguably this". A truly rare record that every home should have, now on the streets again. Wicked.
The Brothers EP has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of the Housey Doingz massive and was remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original DAT's especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. Dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at your favourite reissue label - Mint Condition!

Release Info
Occasionally the stars align to create something truly special. Well, without beating around the bush, that’s what we’ve got for you here. Not only a classic Legowelt hymn that’s ripe for a revisit but three quality remixers (Tuff City Kids, Catz 'N Dogz and Younger Rebinds aka Benny Rodrigues) turning in scandalously good remixes for Cocoon Recordings. Yes, we’re spoiling you...but you’re worth it!
Disco Rout first surfaced in 2002. The electro revival that had ushered in the new millennium was in full swing and this was to prove a seminal tune, being voted track of the year by Groove magazine. As if to prove a point the bass line still grabs you the moment it drops, while the laser-guided melodies feel as relevant today as they ever did. Fusing the past with a neon future, Legowelt’s complex interwoven elements fit like a glove and the clarity of the mix makes everything seem effortless. Maybe that‘s why it’s such a fascinating track to revisit, having already been remixed over the years by the likes of Deetron, Johannes Heil and Freeform Five.
Anyway, this current crop of remixes are equally top notch starting with Tuff City Kids who do what they do best, serving up an organic, conga driven workout complete with percolating synthetic percussion, cut up vocals and silky smooth choral pads. Warping and flanging the original riffs into an infectious, state-of-the-art revamp, they stay true to the retro vibe with added emphasis on the vocal hook for a more pronounced breakdown that briefly trips out before regrouping and taking flight once more.
Following hot on their heels is a screamer from Catz ’N Dogz who drop the tempo slightly, layering a metallic cowbell motif over a tough, robotic disco groove that adds extra swagger to the bass line. The original parts gradually spiral into view, cranking up the pressure till we hit a solid state of euphoria that in turn, disintegrates into freaky alien chatter. There’s no let up though, as squawking synths lock on to the rhythm and everything evolves into a full-on percussive outro.
So far, so fantastic. You would think there’s nowhere left to go after being blasted into outer space a couple of times already but we’re not done yet. Last but not least, Dutch master Benny Rodrigues aka ROD steps up under his Younger Rebinds alias with even more intensity than demonstrated on last year’s ‘Sound of Benny EP’ on Running Back. Picking apart the original with almost forensic attention to detail, he gives new life to each individual strand with an exhilarating mix that seems destined to leave its mark on dance floors around the globe throughout the summer and beyond. The second of his two remixes is included here, both having featured on a much sought after Cocoon Recordings limited edition white label. Remix two compliments the precision of the first with a more freestyle approach that’s in one hell of a rush to get going. The bass line rips through the mix, hihats scurry toward the cavernous, arpeggiated breakdown and we’re drenched in reverb as the synths dovetail dangerously, all the while paying homage to the hi-octane energy of the original. Rodriguez effortlessly toys with the crowd, frying the synapses and gorging on serotonin, as the mix motors relentlessly to its conclusion.
The Disco Rout remix EP is a shameless riot of sound that succeeds in doing something very special - by staying true to Legowelt’s vision, the artists involved not only demonstrate their notable skills as remixers but reaffirm the quality of a classic and timeless piece of music.

Culminating the cycle and international success of his debut album, Daniel Avery releases New Energy, a collection of remixes including six new reworks. Rødhåd proves why he’s the most exciting new name in techno by turning Drone Logic into a pulsing, peak-time behemoth whilst Silent Servant shows off his trademark, industrial tinged mastery on the previously ambient Spring 27. To complete this 12”, Volte-Face, owner of London’s vital experimental night BleeD, enters the production world with a beautiful and ecstatic reimagining of Platform Zero.

axel boman - 1979
2
axel boman - Nokturn
2023 repress
Tracklist:
A. 1979 B. Nokturn (Grand Finale)
Shortinfo:
Pampa's favourite Barnhus boy returns to the label fold, and his previous episode is no easy act to follow: 2010 was the year, Holy Love was the name, and "Purple Drank" the undeniable track of the year; it captured the dancefloor zeitgeist with its sultry tempo, and created an classic with its instantly recognizable vocal. While he last left us falling down the rabbit hole, Axel Boman's newest concern is upward, forward, accelerated motion. "1979" cool-toned and pensive take on classic downtempo deep house. It holds on to the necessary bare banes of percussion, but surrounds it with light touches and a soothing pastoral feel. Time is taken and moments have room to breathe, in this meditative exploration of gently shifting moods. "Nokturn (Grand Finale)" is carnivalesque in the grandest sense, with endless movement via its dominant percussion pattern. Its looping background is perpetually primed for take off, building in intensity as the Latin rhythms preoccupy the shoulders and hips. A double bass phrase minimalist bass loop takes care of the low end groove, and together with glimpses of vintage disco sounds, creates another surefire hit.

No Smoke - - More
The WD wagon continues to roll, bringing back the sounds of London's streets circa 1992 in all it's gritty glory! This, the latest instalment of reissues, reworks and rediscoveries see's a rare EP featuring cuts from a clutch of artists from the stable including No Smoke, Addis Posse & Gary A'Gaye. As ever, the Warriors sound is a stew of Dub, Hip-Hop breaks, House, Techno and synth sounds all collaged together using minimal gear and the UK warehouse and sound-system mentality. A heady mixture, you might say. Across 4 tracks we are treated to the ruffness, a handful of club ready bombs that will still do the damage right now in the 2019. As a special Record Store Day treat the mighty Jonny Rock has been drafted in via satellite to give us his extended, narcotic re-rub of No Smoke's killer 'Ai Shi Temasu (Japanese Love)' turning it into a winding, after hours DJ tool that will skilfully snake it's way through the dance at silly o'clock at any rave. Pure joy. OG pressings of this EP are sought after, expensive and rarely turn up. Now you can own this seminal piece of UK street music with a 2019 twist, in all the right ways!
