Walls & Birds‘ debut on the Berlin label Beatbude! Recorded with the aid of “The Whitest Boy Alive” keyboarder Daniel Nentwig at the local Butterama Recording Center, the vinyl is accompanied by a fold-out poster and a digital bonus track.
Much like their previous releases, “Less than a kilometer away” is Walls & Birds’ new take on popular music today. The first song “Wearing a Dress” touches on the theme of modern clothing habits, while questioning relationship patterns still widespread in popular music lyrics. The surprising element of new found love is also one of the themes of the B-side “Heads & Tales”, telling the story of a late night after work taxi ride with the chorus contemplating about the eternal either or question, plainly answered with: love. The cheerful upbeat digital bonus track “Summer 2002” is as meaningless as most nice pop songs these days.

Argentinian producers Oscean return to Tresor with Chronium Radiance, their longest release so far, in which the duo continue the evolution of their sound, coalescing the elemental ideas explored in their first two releases and yielding sublime results.
This landmark release will no doubt be seen as the point at which Oscean crystalised a trademark sound, balancing complex percussive rhythms with pulsing and cadenced music in which a universe of often oxymoronic ideas can be found, melded together with a deft touch to create a blissful sonic whole.
There is a sense of space and airiness to side A of the record as synth parts drift across the more solid-feeling landscape of the basslines and percussion: Opening track ChronoRebel is a propulsive trance induction that brings forth cinematic images of billowing clouds. This nebulous quality is continued on Neon Harmonies where the highly syncopated drum track weaves through a haze of colourful synths that while lower tempo than the previous track somehow has an energy of a faster piece.
The flip side has a denser, darker quality to it beginning with Blaster Imploder, a deep and funky track that continues the convention-defying theme by being powerful and frenetic whilst also having a soft and exultant sheen. This is followed by Echoes of Chaos which closes out the 12” with a dynamic beat and spacious, sweeping synths that feel as though we are passing through the atmosphere heading towards some distant nebula.
Alongside the tracks on the vinyl release, three digital tracks expand on the universe Oscean have built with a truly ecstatic love theme, a retelling of Neon Harmonies that unveils a river of dub, and a low tempo, drifting yet no-less affecting piece acting as the closing titles to our voyage to this Osceanic world.

Now, he invites Kompakt a?liate and Hippie Dance co-founder Superpitcher alongside UK duo Idjut Boys to reimagine ‘Wake Up’ on a fresh 12”. The original ‘Wake Up’ saw Matt Edwards, aka Radio Slave, utilise low-slung grooves and an iconic speech-like vocal. Written from 2020 to 2022, between London and Liverpool, Space Heavy took shape over the course of commutes between the two cities where Archy Marshall was splitting his time. Befitting an album quite literally written on the commute between the two places he called home, Archy found himself fascinated by the notion of “the space between” - the space haunted by dreams of love, touching a narrative of lost connection, losing people and situations to the guillotine of the universe. Once written by Archy, the music was developed by frequent collaborator and producer Dilip Harris and long-time band mates Ignacio Salvadores (Saxophonist), George Bass (Drummer), James Wilson (Bass Guitarist) and Jack Towell (Guitarist).
The result is a 15-track full-length by the musical polymath that inhabits the deepest reaches of the subterranean sonic world that Archy has constructed over the course of his career as King Krule. In it you hear a generational artist stepping into the height of their artistic powers – the auteurism apparent on his debut 6 Feet Beneath The Moon, the shapeshifting sonic palette of The OOZ, the primality of Man Alive! and the raw vulnerability expressed on You Heat Me Up, You Cool Me Down all coalesce into a wizened, dynamic body of work that reveals new elements with each listen. In line with Archy’s interest in the space between, it is an album wherein the negative space demands the same attention as the positive space. If one is willing to wade into the mire the reward is rich.

Since joining forces in 2007, Peter Rogers and Andy Powell have become key players in the world of musical, emotive drum & bass. Since joining forces in 2007, Peter Rogers and Andy Powell have become key players in the world of musical, emotive drum & bass. Their rich back catalogue covers the cream of d&b labels - Hospital, Ram, Shogun Audio and Spearhead to name a few - and in 2021 they established their own 'Technimatic Music' imprint.
'For All Of Us' reflects the current moment we are living in. The post-pandemic landscape, rising energy costs, geo-political instability, coupled with the relentless demands and expectations of social media have left many feeling disconnected, lost or anxious about their place and purpose in the world.
But music has always been a guiding force that, when the dark feels overbearing, never fails to help people into the light. Over the years, Pete and Andy have been inundated with personal messages of difficulty, grief, hardship, and how their music has helped people process, cope or just forget briefly about their troubles and go somewhere else. This is what 'For All Of Us' is about.

This is the last album from Rico Puestel. After somehow three decades, Rico misses the cultural impact of Techno music as it has been and declares its spirits gone – at least personally. There's nothing more to tell. The self-consuming scene has reached its grotesque climax and left an empty shell of something once filled with so much passion, warmth, strength, heart and hope. The times just haven't changed – they lost their self-fulfilling purpose and authenticity.
Heavily influenced by prehistoric, tribal rhythms and trance-inducing dances within redundant structures, Techno music once had a natively true and unadulterated essence. A free spirit on the run. Rico found the right spot in time to gather all of his origins in Techno music for a last act of connecting to it. Being on an all-time high as a producer, he crafted the whole album on a course of twelve hours and relived all those deeply rooted moments and memories with Techno in fast motion. While the track titles are counting down from ten to zero in Esperanto, Rico clears up in peace and balance...
What once was, is now without form and void.
I left.
Everybody left.
Techno has left the building.

The "When They Fall EP" showcases three original tracks alongside an exceptional remix by SYXT/Glukkon Records boss, Ketch. A long-standing and respected figure within the lively Los Angeles music scene, Stephen's signature stripped-back and pulsating sound takes center stage right from the outset. This EP further solidifies the burgeoning label's reputation as a distinguished hub for top-tier techno.
Starting things off is "Filling The Void", a moody and otherworldly track with a rolling groove and sharp percussion. The echoing, almost chant-like pads wrap you in a mysterious atmosphere, creating a sense of curiosity and anticipation.
The title track, "When They Fall", takes a more lively direction, driven by rhythmic percussion and spacey blips, along with a swelling bassline that adds extra depth and movement.
The B side of the EP features Ketch's remix of "Sixth Sense", where urgent percussive elements blend over a steady low-end foundation, guided by a strong kick drum that pushes the track forward with unwavering determination.
Bringing the release to a powerful conclusion is the original track "Sixth Sense", in which Stephen increases the energy, skillfully using ride cymbals and on-beat claps to highlight moments of high intensity. “Black Halo” is down-the-line and perhaps one of the catchiest tracks by Gregor Tresher.
The wobbling driving bassline builds up a rising tension that increases through the vast, detuned, and powerful string parts appearing to extend out to light years, reaching far beyond. Zaps drive the rhythm forward while rushing cymbals push the groove and weld everything together to absolute unity. For Gregor, techno and club culture have certain transcendental qualities, “Black Halo” is concerned with these sentiments and tells an ambivalent story. The onset of bliss oscillates between melancholy and hope, making it an exuberant roller coaster of emotions. A classic Gregor Tresher track, which perfectly represents Gregor’s signature sound!
“Phantom Dancer” literally pulls you onto the dance floor. Discharging beats, which hit you heavily but pleasant. The atmosphere violently evolves with a twisted noise-like signal sound and gets even more brute through the low-pitched filter vocals.
