COEO are back on Toy Tonics! After uninterrupted touring around the globe, followed by a short creative break the guys come back with an even stronger sound. With the new EP they go more underground again. Its addressed to the clubs and night owls out there, who turn night into day and won't stop dancing!

The sound is based on classic house patterns and includes a lot of cool saxophones, big piano stabs & rhythmic piano solos. They even go tribal, use arpeggios and switch into breakbeat heaven. The four Originals are a great next step in the COEO evolution. The unique warm, catchy atmosphere of the tracks can create that special COEO euphoria which made them a lot of fans. From Moodymann to Disclosure, Mall Grab to Kenny Dope, the list is long.

It’s fantastic to see how popular they became over the last couple of years. The last COEO vinyl sold over 2500 copies and some of their tracks have millions of Spotify plays. It’s DJ FOOD. Pure bliss!

Telling a tale of house music’s early days or roots without mentioning Tony Humphries as a club DJ, remixer and radio disc jockey would make it an incomplete, forged and most of all a bit of a yawn.
Born in Brooklyn in 1957, Humphries’ musical journey is synonymous with New York City’s dance music history and the evolution from uptempo soul music to house: from being a dancer at David Mancuso’s infamous Loft parties to becoming a mobile DJ and getting the call from Shep Pettibone to become his right hand at
the then new Kiss FM radio station, followed by countless remix offers and a legendary residency at Newark’s Club Zanzibar. Next to that one, is was especially his work as a radio disc jockey for said station during most of the 1980s until 1994 that gave him majestic clout. Breaking new records week in, week out,
putting New Jersey acts like Adeva and Jomanda or countless up-and-coming producers from there on the musical map, while simultaneously playing the hottest imports from Europe, trax from Chicago, dance classics and all things straight from New York’s music factory that never seemed to stop.
Going to his vast and almost complete archive of radio shows from way back when he graced those airwaves, we at Running Back Records have pickedNew Release Information original recordings that symbolize his importance as an industry giant and ambassador of this style of music.

An undisputed classic of the electronic music scene, Steve Bug's 'Loverboy' was released on the first Poker Flat release ever ' Double Action' back in 1999.
Over the years it has been reworked only by a few - but the list includes the likes of Josh Wink and Guido Schneider. Now, as part of the 20 years of Poker Flat celebration, more names are added to that remix list with two new superb remixes from Catz 'n Dogz and Acid Pauli.
Catz 'n Dogz are a Polish producer duo making big waves in recent years, and their version of 'Loverboy' brims with their unmistakable energy - chugging, hypnotic groove and tons of effects and melodic twists and turns. Berlin legend Acid Pauli approaches it from a different angle - stripping away elements until a deeply trippy skeletal house track remains.

Just Be, formerly known as Bushwacka!, drops Second Base on Get Physical this month. A collection of percussion heavy soundscapes to entertain your thoughts as the night turns to day. 'Hold On, Wait A Minute' is a heavy track for heavy dance sessions in the late night dark places we love to frequent. Just Be provides the perfect sound to company us on our journey into the vibe as it opens itself and displays its mechanical insides. An edgy percussive rhythm dominates 'Second Base', the second track of the EP, in it's opening moments leading us deep into a forest of sound. They're not playing games here, this is the deep night. 'Touch Me' is a percussive wonder; from rainsticks to bongos an organic feeling floats throughout. The bassline pushes on unwaivering and determined to move you to your feet in any situation.
