The Rhythm Section – raves first super group - consisting of Ellis Dee, Rennie Pilgrim, Newton and Ritchie T. The group disbanded in 1993 after the rise of jungle as the guys didn’t want to go in that direction and felt their job was done in building the rave scene to what it was. But then in 1995 they had a request to reform and tour America as the rave culture was growing out there. So, they did reform, minus Ritchie T, and embark on a rather rave induced tour of the US with all the antics that you would expect from those guys!


They also wanted to make some new music for the tour and The Sequel album was born. Though written in 1995, they guys purposely kept the sound retro, calling upon their knowledge of the late 80s and early 90’s London warehouse scene.


Released originally as a limited edition double album which commands a high price on Discogs, this is the second part of the album – part one being the 180g blue vinyl release on Vinyl Fanatiks last year.

Universe #1 is a total classic from the raves back in the day... another immense production and alias by Dave Charlesworth, alongside Steve Mc.Carthy. Dave is responsible for the Energizer series from back in the day as well as the Side Effect record we released earlier this year. On top of that he was The Sorcerer and ran the ADR label too! MAFIA may be a name you dont recognise straight away... but I know you all know of DJ Vern & DJ Ash on Tearin Vinyl that we repressed back in 2019. And you may recall a couple of years ago the Big Vern release that we did too... and the real spotters will recognise the track 'Say It Loud' as that appeared on the Big Vern release (copies still in stock).

Vern was a resident DJ on London pirate Weekend Rush plus he was the head honcho over at World Bass Records from the mid 90's too. He is one of the great jungle innovators from the 90's who used his knowledge as a DJ and applied it in the studio, creating many anthems.

This release was originally pressed in 1995 on World Bass Records and we are super excited to be able to repress it 30 years later!

EQ & Mastersafe return to Vinyl Fanatiks with an EP of music that they wrote in 1994 but was never released due to them leaving the label they had signed to back then. On this EP we have remixes of Safewayz and People PLUS an unreleased track titled 'All I Want'. All tracks were made in 1994.

Here we go... the one everyone asks me about. And finally, after 6 years, we have done a second pressing. This time on black vinyl as the original repress that we did in 2019 was on yellow vinyl - Holy Quattro vinyl! Our old skool supporters will remember the original Kickstarter Quattro which spawned many bundles by us over the years (and even a few other labels have nicked the name too!) And this is a heater for sure - a much loved jungle release from 1993 that originally came out on Underdog Recordings. This is a release that has been on the back burner for a few years now. Discussions started a while ago but so many distractions happened in-between (plus we released the excelled Amen Brother EP by EQ as well which distracted things for a while). But we got there and by god, we know how much this EP is loved by you guys... so super happy to have finally got it over the line.

This is a proper piece of grail... EQ and the amazing Mastersafe. They only released one record together, this one, back in 1994. Though trainspotters, anoraks and fans alike will be stoked to know that they actually made quite a few tunes together back then that were never released (though a few made it to dubplates)... and EQ has found all the DAT's, so keep on eye on Vinyl Fanatiks during 2025 for further treats by this duo!

Double B is Barry from 2-X-Treme and these tracks were written at the same time as that infamous 2-X-Treme EP. Pressed by Barry on a white label and mostly hand-distributed to local south coast record shops. This is a very rare record from a Pompey rave don!

An absolute classic of the era - both tracks were battered back in the day and these were huge tracks at Madisons in Bournemouth around this time as they were originally released on Adrenalin Records in 1992, which was Stu J's label, a south coast rave DJ. Shaun from Aurora went on to form Mad Dog and Fugitive after this project.
