akecha is finally releasing an unreleased piece after more than 2 decades.
The piece was written and collaborated with Japanese singer Mayumi Tsuruta in 1999. It is superb house music that blended with underground dance music and Japanese pop music.

We have selected tofubeats for a remix, a producer who has collaborated with many Japanese major artists and is active in a wide range of fields from motion film music to underground dance music, has created a dramatic song reminiscent of the golden age of house music in the 1990s.

This is a 100% Japanese house EP that will be loved by dance music fans all over the world. More

Mike Huckaby, Bergqvist, DJ Sports, Raam and LNS remix ‘Deep Soundscapes’, Takecha’s album recently released on Sweden’s Love Potion.
Released in March, the album incorporates Takeshi Fukushima’s work between 1990 to 2013 and affirms why the producer is such a respected figure within Japan’s electronic music scene. Now his compositions have been remixed by some of house music’s best, featuring renditions from Detroit’s Mike Huckaby, Aniara’s Henrik Bergqvist, the elusive Raam, Firecracker and Regelbau’s DJ Sports, as well as Wania and Freakout Cult’s LNS.
Mike Huckaby inaugurates the release with his sultry take on ‘Low Sentiment’, blending deep synths with murmuring vocals to forge a proper deep house cut. Bergqvist then remixes ‘Rhodes Deep’ creating a bouncy minimal cut incorporating the original’s scintillating melody alongside meandering percussion and twisted effects, making way into DJ Sports’ remix of ‘Gradual Atmosphere’ with its intricate breakbeat drums and dreamlike atmospherics. Raam then reinvents ‘Calm Imagination’ taking it into subterranean territories complete with infectious keys, until LNS ties it all together with her mesmerising beatless reimagining of ‘Factory 141’.

Real name Takeshi Fukushima, Takecha has been a key figure within Japan’s electronic music scene for decades and belongs to the same pioneering crew as Soichi Terada and Shinichiro Yokota. Now in his mid- fifties, ‘Deep Soundscapes’ is an album encompassing Fukushima’s sound with every track written by the producer between 1990 and 2013. Intricate percussion and crystalline chords set the tone in ‘Deep Drive’ before a funky bassline joins serene synths in ‘Midnight Things’. Appearing in Soichi Terada’s mix for Resident Advisor (under its promo title ‘Deep Loop C’), ‘Gradual Atmosphere’ is comprised of a galloping beat and saccharine chimes, ‘Factory 141’ sees Takecha demonstrate a murkier aesthetic, whilst ‘Rhodes Detox’ is a definitive example of Takecha’s flair for expertly balancing elements within his productions. An homage to Shufflepuck Cafe´, an old Mac Plus video game Takecha would play on a black and white 9- inch monitor back in the day, ‘Shufflepuck’ blends ghostly melodies with clicks, whirrs and pops. ‘Calm Imagination’ is a poignant affair from start to finish with its hypnotising atmosphere, contrasting to the more up-tempo ‘Warm Rondo’ with its soulful keys and purring low-end. Tying it all together, ‘Genuine Innocence’ is a cut that Takecha made two versions of; one with a solo from a pianist and another with more emphasis on the beat, the latter of which appears on this album." The next set of the Japanese musical tales on Hhatri's imprint comes from Takecha (aka Takeshi Fukushima), a producer who has played a part in creating some of the seminal pieces of house music that have originated from Japan. His music is characterised by the perfect marriage of experimentation and emotional content. For those that know, Takecha's first EP 'Kind of Deep' released on his own imprint, GWM records, in 1995 is a secret gem among Japanese House music collectors. Only 100 copies were ever available and it is a subtle reminder of what and how Deep House should sound like. Takecha provides no less in A Tale of Shiga; four gorgeous tracks that provide some insight into his own creative, albeit humble genius in his approach to producing music. We are proud to welcome Myungho Choi to the family of Sakskøbing for our twenty-third release. Residing in the big apple New York and baptised in the early 90’s of the warehouses of the Midwest we can safely say the man has seen and experienced the music first hand. Boss of Transit records with the first official vinyl release dating to 1999, Myungho has acquired a ton of knowledge through the years of digging and listening to the music on any medium it came on. Having an opportunity to witness his heroes and get inspired by them sufficiently to create his own story within the sound frequencies.

The EP is a boat of smooth sailing but with the turbo jets attached to it, to get to any needed destination as comfortable as possible. Heavy influenced by the sounds of Detroit and Chicago, having grew up with an abundance of the music that comes from there resulted in JET, the formation of the artist’s skill and knowledge which has been executed on the canvas that is a beautiful to look at and pleasure to listen - the 12” vinyl record we are beholding today. For the 15th instalment we are welcoming newcomer to the label from the UK - Miles. This will be a debut record out by this young and talented producer who has showcased a vast range of sounds within this wax piece. Angels & Demons is the title of this extended play and it is because there are two sides to this record in terms of moods and feelings provoked. The demon side shall revoke a darker feeling within the listener whilst angel side ought-to come down as an epiphany or enlightenment whatever you prefer to call it and shine the light on it. More

For the third time to the house of Sakskøbing we are witnessing return of a close friend to the label, Portland-based Aaron Carlson who goes by the moniker ac$. This legend of a human being has crafted a 5 audio pieces which has been made on his modular machines at his home studio and showcases a good range of what I believe we call house music. With the first release he has done for the label that went out in the year 2017 and marks a 6-year friendship between the artist and all of us fellas who hold his music dear to the hearts. The record turned out to be warm, personal and true to the artist’s vision you’ll agree if just like us you have been following the man’s sound output over the years. Very importantly it teaches that bean curd is not only good for your body but for the mind as well and let’s not even start to count how many things you can do with it. You know what they say… More

oneeyedman is the project by the Hungarian-based artist István Sándor, seeing with one eye the release “Eat Alone a Miso Soup” that is landing on the musical hub Sakskøbing. The record has been over a year in the making and has gathered the shape using the all-seeing eye we witness today. Four track EP starting with the first Samurai discipline imbued track using voice part from Masaki Kobayashi’s 1962 movie “Harakiri”. Explicit qualities of an anthem there which makes you want to whip out a katana and graciously waft it in the air. Following piece “Night Train Ride” will be perfect not just for the trains, but starting on foot and going as far as taking the space shuttle with its cumulative acidic qualities. The Sixth Life story has morphed its shape into the DJ friendly version it is today, that says it next to the tin with more drums than ever before and portraying a human multi life story with its picturesque patterns & elaborate frequencies. Closing up this chapter with the intricately vivid number “Moody Discoteq” which shiatsu’s the membranes of one’s big red-pinkish brain in a calm manner and concluding the story of this body of work. All tracks were produced by István and mixed by the man himself and Gregus Grema Márton using the ancient Japanese techniques, which cannot be taught but rather has to be unlocked with practice, clear spirit and of course major levels of discipline. The light is at the end of the tunnel. The light is shining bright because of love. The love is the answer to the darkness + the remedy for the experience which might bring unclearness and letting drown in the metaphorical swamp which every single human has felt during the journey they are on. The EP by the Switzerland based mastermind Dan Piu is dedicated to the love and to the love only. The tracks that were produced from the artist’s creative inflow are from the year 1995 to our present days and are telling the story of hope and compassion. Starting from A side we have a demonstrative rollercoaster which is ‘Selfish War Machine’ gracing before the ‘Made in Japan’ which is inspired by the early arcade machines and the ethos they were bringing with them. Side B starts with seductive house number straight up from the year 1995, followed by Robotic tool ‘Robota’ and finishing off on the perfect and soul caressing track going by the name ‘Equinox of Ceres’. This precise body of work which has found its home with Sakskøbing is pure and direct message of love, in a way when things are seem bleak the light can be sparked again. The answer how this spark gets obtained is the four-letter word which is mentioned frequently in this text. More

Let me tell you what, for this number 17 we have the first 10inch record that will get to the stores from Sakskøbing’s headquarters. What’s the material on this 10” let’s unravel together: On the A side we have an original production by Dan who goes by the moniker The Jaffa Kid. This hard-working producer has released and self-released an incredible body of work, which is for you to find out, so rather than reading this, go and check it out yourself, surely you will be impressed. We are very happy to welcome him to the label family with this dark acid tool sprinkled with doves chirping straight from the good old 90’s.

The B side is taken for a spin by none other than UK’s holy grail Scott Featherstone who actively tours with his live set under Triform alias and has produced records under his other projects such as “Beyond A Void”, “Glorious Springtime” and “Lemmon Grass”. Strong recommendation to check it all out of course as its swarming with total & true heavy hitters. Here Scott has taken the original track to the different way and turned it into the freaky house number that bubbles the brains in the sweet manner that it does. To conclude the rambling, these handsome artists have brought the “Tacked on Acid” EP to life for all of us to Tack. More

Sixteen arrives to the label straight from Detroit, by the owner of Vigilante Cartel - Dave P who is also known as Dirty Dave or Dirty Dave P, who has been releasing records since the early 90’s. This Electro & House infused 12’’ is made by the man together with his friend Rick Tuner and consists of 4 track journeys starting from the space and heading way beyond any known stratospheres known to mankind.

This record is very dear to these artists and to all the people who took part into making this project come to life. All aboard the “Saturn V” as it’s taking off into the wilderness of clubs & institutes of electronic music all over the world.
