London, UK – footnotes, the independent drum and bass label founded in 2018, unveils Annotations, a carefully curated compilation showcasing the label’s evolving sound. The compilation features label regulars Alibi, Anile, Tokyo Prose, and Bazil, alongside some of the most exciting names in contemporary drum and bass. Anile returns with yet another killer EP for footnotes. One of the scenes most talented and respected producers is really getting back into the groove after the success of the Ceremonial EP released in late 2023.

This EP starts off with Save Love, an emotional piano roller with DRS which is the perfect follow on to Constant Reminder. Lush chords complimented by some of DRS’s best vocal performances.

The rest of the EP has seen serious DJ support from a diverse range of DJ’ from the old guard LSB, Jubei, Loxy, Marky, Fabio to the new wave of DJ’s like Waeyz & Molecular.

The Brazilian DJ/music-producer based in Vienna/Austria makes his debut on footnotes and the EP represents the best of Alibi and footnotes. The techy roller Dismissed has been destroying dancefloors for more than a year. 'Black Piano' and 'Invisible' both combined the brooding piano and skippy beats. The EP closer 'Draw' contains shades of the Autonomic era with beautiful synth lines but the crisp beats that Alibi is renowned for. All in all a stunning debut for Alibi on footnotes

Anile returns with his first release since the 2019 No Code. Ceremonial represents a welcome return for the UK based producer. The 4 track EP reflects the varied style of the producer who has previously released albums on Hospital Records imprint 'Med School' as well as releases on The North Quarter and this represents the return to footnotes.

An understated return avoiding the over exposed nature of modern music promotion the EP has already received DJ support from DJ's such as Marky, Workforce, Jubei, LSB and Pola & Bryson

'I find it hard to talk about my music, but the concept of this mini album was to strip my music back to the sounds i'm drawn to most. There's no attempt for a club banger, no obvious singles, no vocals just a collection of tunes that drift and are searching for something.

The music I love tends to have a common theme of melancholy, suspense and resolution and that's what i'm trying to achieve here' - LSB
