The newest underground club in Barcelona, Les Enfants Brillants has launched its own label Les Enfants Records.
The debut drop sees Per Hammar delivering 2 originals followed by 2 remixes from well-renowned Romanian producer Nu Zau and Miroloja, French duo part of Yoyaku family. The side A opens up with a seductive blend of minimal and deep beats on ‘Lystopad’, followed up by Nu Zau remix where his micro house trademark sound can be perceived. Miroloja’s remix of ‘Lystopad’ kicks off the B side adding groove and a funky bassline to Per Hammar's original turning it into a more housey version, followed by ‘Pentium Dubb’, the second original of the EP.

Following his collaborative ‘Conscious’ EP alongside Rossko earlier this year, Per Hammar returns to FUSE sub-label Infuse with three more standout offerings this September. Swedish don Per Hammar has been turning out quality dub, house and techno with a dusty sense of atmosphere for more than a decade. In that time, he has established a number of his own labels including Dirty Hands and 10YEARS, while most recently founding De Vloer with Mandar member Malin Genie. Now firmly established as a key protagonist in the underground scene, the Berlin-based talent reasserts that position once more here as he returns to Infuse with his slick three-track ‘Side Effects’ EP. ‘Side Effects’ is a sublime 10-minute excursion into warm depths. Sustained pads drift in the distance as subtle percussion rolls in the foreground keep you locked, whilst soft-edged chords bring colour and soul and ensure this is a warm and hypnotic cut. Next, ‘Document Save’ is a more edgy affair with subtle synth details, samples and trippy pads all weaving in and out of the busy, fluttering drum line that keeps you on your toes. Last of all, ‘Remote Dubb’ is the most visceral on the EP: employing coarse synth textures and bustling drums that are expertly designed to enliven the ‘floor.

Since I started to produce music in the mid 00's, I undoubtedly bought the idea of puzzling my productions into nice labels like a Tetris game. This "survival of the fittest" thinking has under the years resulted in a whole bunch of works that I made a strong connection to, but that no one else never got the chance to do, ending up in an empty folder. There are so many times that I just feel to open up my heart and brain and let people that I have a connection to take part of it, and this is the closest that I can get. The sounds that I like: the warmth, the dust, the ugly, the distorted, broken and worm has been privileged for certain kind of music. Music that I love, but that I maybe not always can play when I got the chance. Those two ideas combined gave me the idea to set up a little imprint. I'm gonna name it Dirty Hands. What that mean is up to you. What it sounds like is also up to you, and that's why I wrote this instead of thoroughly describing the tracks.

AGT Records are back for number 008 and the smoke machine is on full blast.
Christian Llopis put out a handful of releases in the early 2000’s, each capturing the progressive machine-groove of the time, but with his own signature twist and turn that made his sound stand apart from his contemporaries. The Lobster Tan EP, first released in 2005 on Play. Out. Right. Now. Recordings, shows off his unique style perfectly.
Each track has its own distinct personality while maintaining a relentless momentum that throws each kick drum into the next. The title track ‘Lobster Tan’ has an almost elastic groove in the low end, balanced deftly with swirling samples and melody lines. ‘Simulation’ is a more heady offering, perfect for those late night/early morning moments where the heads are down and the lights are low. The mood is sinister, and its growling bassline and vocal samples barrel the tune forwards. Pick of the bunch is ‘Back in the Day’, a tribal roller that combines organic melody lines and pads with an ever-evolving bassline that will refresh any discerning dance floor back into life.
Llopis is an expert at keeping things subtle while moving the gears, and this release is a prime example of prog done right. We are happy to have this one back on the shelves, all in good time.

The title track ‘Lobster Tan’ has an almost elastic groove in the low end, balanced deftly with swirling samples and melody lines. ‘Simulation’ is a more heady offering, perfect for those late night/early morning moments where the heads are down and the lights are low. The mood is sinister, and its growling bassline and vocal samples barrel the tune forwards. Pick of the bunch is ‘Back in the Day’, a tribal roller that combines organic melody lines and pads with an ever-evolving bassline that will refresh any discerning dance floor back into life.
Llopis is an expert at keeping things subtle while moving the gears, and this release is a prime example of prog done right. We are happy to have this one back on the shelves, all in good time.
