Jad & The is an Australian producer based in Berlin, where he's been putting out consistently cool and sleek dusty house on the likes of Toy Tonics and Banoffee Pies. Jad is now joining Shall Not Fade for his debut on their Seasons Series imprint, showcasing a selection of tracks that ooze space age sounds and cybernostalgia.

Space Swingerz EP feels like the soundtrack to a classic science fiction film; opening with "Dance (Can't Dance Mix)", the most house-oriented track on the record, a grooving and smooth party piece that has just a hint of the electro inflections to come. The title track itself is a swirling electro track filled with popping futuristic synths and spaced out pads, leading into "Industrial I-Beam" that swaps out the ambience for a deep funky bassline - headsy and ready for a darkened Berlin club. "Circum Navigator" is a clean-cut but hypnotic piece of nineties revival, while "OK, Computer" taps into the sci-fi edge of the EP, the sounds of early internet imaginations of the future.

The digital bonus track, "Computer Teens, Acid Dreams" is well-described by its name - it's a sweeping, acidic roller straight out of hyperspace. More

FINA Records welcome Jad & The for a new EP that shows off the Australian-born, Berlin-based producer’s majestically melodic house sound. A special dub from 6th Borough Project makes this another essential release. Before now Jad & The has served up tracks of the year (‘Strings That Never Win’ - Mixmag 2017), fronted four piece live act Mitzi—who played alongside the likes of Nile Rodgers—and also produced as Jad & The Ladyboy, all the while picking up fans like Moxie and Bradley Zero. Sonar Kollektiv and Toy Tonics have put out his charming sounds before and this new one is another joyous offering. The feel good ‘2 Getha (4 Eva Mix)’ kicks things of with old school drum breaks and loved-up vocals. Big smeared pads, a new age melody and classic bassline line finish it off and carry you away to summery house heaven. ‘Twist Club’ then drops into lush deep house with a long legged bassline tumbling beneath organic drums. It’s a dreamy and romantic cut before ‘Disco Hold Down’ has live sounding jazz drums, choppy vocals and rough edges that take you to the heart of a vibe-fulled basement party. Delusions Of Grandeur’s 6th Borough Project serve up a Dub that’s more stripped back and built on a big rubber bassline. Jacking drums and a more rapturous vocal make it a truly steamy jam. More

After turning heads with their first two releases Brisbane’s radio show come record label Beats Of No Nation (BONN) is here with release number three. The ‘Hollywood’ EP comes from BONN co-founder Jad Lee aka Jad &The(FKA Jad & The Ladyboy). Off the back of recent 2017 releases on labels Sonar Kollektiv, 2MR, and Axe On Wax Jad brings it home to Beats Of No Nation with the 'Hollywood' EP which takes its name from the obscure samples Jad pulled from a bundle of dusty VHS movie tapes. Londoner Deejay Astral provides a remix of the A1 ‘Theatrical Trailer’ and he masterfully takes the bass line from the original and makes the remix into something his own. More

SPEEDDIAL002 is a re-release of the standout tracks from The Minimono EP by E. Colaci / A. Galasso. The minimono EP originally came out in 2002 on short lived Italian imprint Urban Mantra (2000-3).
