Deer in the Headlights is the first release on Somniac One's new label Somniverse. As a firmly established name in industrial hardcore and fast-rising star in techno she is perfectly positioned to color between the lines of both genres and bend them in new ways. Expect effective hardcore bangers, techno bangers, cross-over bangers. Bangers, pretty much, and the occasional tame B-side, maybe. This first release serves up a nice dose of nostalgia. Arp Track #1 is classic slowly unfolding muscular low-key euphoric loop techno while MNDKNTRL on the flipside harkens back to some of the best moments in dark millennium hardcore. More
