Japanese born but nowadays NYC resident, DJ Monchan is a long-time purveyor of Disco edits and early House music, something you'll clearly hear on his debut release on GAMM.

The first track 'What is your love worth' is really something special as it starts off with a gritty and raw early house loop but then makes a dramatic turn over to high energy NY Disco...and then back to the grit.
A great jam session!

The B-side offers a deeper Disco-House track that easily could've been released in the early 90's on any of the relevant NYC labels of the time.

Brooklyn based, DJ Monchan, steps up to perform some surgical edit wizardy on four mouth-watering tracks for the ever-dependable Razor-N-Tape.
‘Reaction Control’ kicks things off with a joyous disco gem, DJ Monchan extending and echoing those killer groovers to create a whirlwind of dancefloor delight. Next up, ‘Dance It All Out’ has a touch of the exotic highlife sound to it but reworked into a DJ friendly, irresistibly bouncing jam.
Flip it and it’s back to the late-night NYC soirees of the 70’s with ‘Can’t Promise’ channelling that pure unadulterated fun into an ethereal edit of magnetic proportions. Taking the final slot of RNT042 ‘Get Down With Your Love’ closes out proceedings with a silky smooth soulful heater.

Dib’s first appearance on dailysession. Side A1 starts with a nice deep house influenced by 90’s Chicago house, inherited from Mr. fingers. Silky synth pad melodies with simple but effective drum machine programing are powerful enough to lose your mind on the dancefloor. The second track on side A is the funky synth bass-driven house, punctuated by melancholy analog synth sounds. You are dancing with your eyes closed in the club at 3AM. Side B track 1 is the acid house with ambient synth pads swelling over a minimal hypnotic 303 bassline. The last track is the minimal deep house with a deeper soul quality. This one will melt the dance floor. This EP is faithful to the original house music sound yet still sounds ruthlessly modern.
