Peter Major a.k.a. Opolopo is an extraordinary producer that barely puts a foot wrong.
With releases on prestigious labels such as Quantize Recordings, Z Records, Papa Records and Local Talk - yes, he was responsible for our third release back in 2011, 'The Grit' - and ever since we've been waiting for his return.
Opening track "You Can Make It" features the soulful vocals of Pete Simpson. It's one of those timeless house tunes, immaculately produced that hits every note perfectly.
Together they've made something truly special.
On the flip there are two versions of "Lamprey Love", a track with expansive warmth and jammed-out riffs, not far from Larry Heard or Chez Damier.
No matter if you choose the Bouncy Mix or the original, Opolopo has done what he does best and offers up some House brilliance.

Version Galore is a newly found label, deeply rooted into the music culture. It's all about the dialogue of cultures and the idealistic desire to pass the music legacy on! No half-measures, played-out tunes, lazy cuts, or boring "808-kick boosting" biz! On the first release of the label we are delighted to bring you the chosen cuts from the man that needs no introduction - Opolopo. He knows a thing or two about making a personal version of a track that can easily overshadow the original, and we guess that's the case with the two cuts he prepared for us on this records. Things escalate fast. On the A-side you will find originally a midtempo mild jam "Go Get It", which is turned by Opolopo into an effectively-upbeat stomper that will inject true feeling and groove in any house or disco set alike.
It's one of those rare occasions when a soulful tune turns out to be super dance-floor efficient no matter what!

We're super excited to have the reworks maestro Jim Sharp on GAMM for an exclusive 7inch release.

Raised in Canada but these days residing in the UK, Jim Sharp got that magic touch when it comes to reworking soul, funk and hip hop to another level.

On his GAMM debut Jim starts up by giving Anthony Hamilton a supa soulful twist that is as funky as it gets.

Black Truffle is back with a delicious new EP, "Gourmet Edits", which takes you on a four-course adventure through the vintage disco territory, blending Jazz-Funk and Latin elements.
Black Truffle's distinctive style is characterised by skilful reinterpretations of hidden treasures from the 70's with a passionate focus on preserving the essence of the original material...

'Disco Meringue' is a crispy piano-driven appetiser with Latin flavour. Its syncopated piano riffs imbue it with a jazzy vibe that makes it a great tool to seamlessly transition between disco, Latin, and modern deep house in your set.

'Drum Tartar' is a percussive tour de force that oscillates between groovy Jazz-Funk and spicy Bossa-Nova, culminating in a thundering drum break that continues for an impressive third of the track.
'Consomme' is the EP's bread and butter for the dance floor layering pulsing percussion, wailing organ riffs, crunchy guitars, curious vocoders and many sax and organ solos that keep on taking it higher and higher resulting in a sizzling high-energy banger.

Our favourite Colombian of all time is by far Felipe Gordon. His individual (and jazzy) take on house music and beyond has given him a big following within the underground dance community. We reached out to Felipe and asked him if he wanted to do a release on GAMM with only one request..."do whatever you want".

The music we got sent back is a beautiful four-track EP that delivers all aspects of Felipe Gordon's unique take on dance music.

The main track 'Self Love' is a warm and intimate jazz excursion that also plays around with some quirky electronic ideas...feel good with a twist. The second jam 'The Punk Automata' got a more bumpy and driving rhythm and has a slightly stronger club play appeal.
On the third track 'Your Feelings' we go darker with a proper late-hours deep house jam...proper!
On the final track, Felipe teams up with Bob The Egoist (great name) for a deep and musical vocal jam entitled 'Please Don't Go'.

Don't forget about the amazing artwork supplied by our favourite Scotsman, Mr Al Kent. This man truly has the magic feel when it comes to creating authentic vinyl designs.

GAMM is back after a short leave of absence with a grand disco rework (not edit).

Our friend Moplen definitely knows his way around the disco and here it all comes full circle as both music and vinyl artwork (full-color 12" vintage sleeve and labels) look and feel like the sound of black New York City circa 1977.
The Blackout Night comes in a main extended +9 min long version and reprise mix (dub version), both are soaked in big strings, soulful vocals, and a thumpin' Disco backbeat.

The disco maestro we know as Al Kent returns to GAMM with a follow up to his amazing 'Stranger Danger' 12"...

Just like its precursor, this is a highly personal release to Al Kent, as he not only created the musical reworks but also the full artwork from top to bottom.

Japanese born but nowadays NYC resident, DJ Monchan is a long-time purveyor of Disco edits and early House music, something you'll clearly hear on his debut release on GAMM.

The first track 'What is your love worth' is really something special as it starts off with a gritty and raw early house loop but then makes a dramatic turn over to high energy NY Disco...and then back to the grit.
A great jam session!

The B-side offers a deeper Disco-House track that easily could've been released in the early 90's on any of the relevant NYC labels of the time.
