Flatliner - No Boundaries (Origin Unknown Remix)
Following on from the success of our 'Liftin Spirit Reloaded' vinyl series, we are pleased to announce our next project in collaboration with Ram Records. 'Ram Reloaded' will be a series of limited 12" vinyl from Ram's early years, re-mastered from the original DATs and presented onto our usual, high quality, heavy weight vinyl.
In 1994, Ant invited Flatliner over to the studio being one of many local DJ's that orbited the Ram HQ in Hornchurch. In just a day, the pair created one of the most celebrated tear ups on the label so far in the form of 'The Big Bang'. The track broke the mould of what had come before, with dual oscillating detuned sine basses and heavily time-stretched Amen chops. The breakdown also featured one of the most emotion ladened pad sections that balanced up the track, gaining the respect and adoration of the masses and fellow producers alike. Ant and Flatliner went on a major tangent and flipped the script to focus on a more rolling heads down vibe for 'No Boundaries'. An anthem of the AWOL club, the slow time-stretched vocal and haunting melodies cemented the 12" as one of the most successful on the Ram label since 'Valley of the Shadows'. A year on, Ant Miles under his alter ego as Liftin Spirits, loaded up the parts and began to chop the strings and pads creating a more sinister and darker sounding remix of 'The Big Bang'. To complete the remix 12", Andy & Ant loaded up the parts for 'No Boundaries' and went to work under their prolific 'Origin Unknown' alias. Accentuating all the original ideas and taking them further into a full on roller vibe, with their usual precision tooled breaks and pounding bass lines.
Promotion across chosen internet websites and Hardcore/Jungle 12" vinyl communities.

Following on from the success of the 'Ram Reloaded' repress vinyl series, we are pleased to announce our next project in collaboration with Ram Records. As part of Ram Records' 30th anniversary, we have put together a series of new remixes and VIP's of some of the labels biggest releases from the early 90's.
In 1994, Ant invited Flatliner over to the studio being one of many local DJ's that orbited the Ram HQ in Hornchurch. The track broke the mould of what had come before, with dual oscillating detuned sine basses and heavily time-stretched Amen chops.
Out of Romford Records duo 'New Decade' provide a fresh remix for 2023, keeping the original 90's vibe that delivers devastating basslines, extended breakdowns and more time stretched amen. Ant Miles gives a fresh take on 'No Boundaries' taking elements of the original and morphing them into an outright slammer. Encapturing the hypnotic atmospheric pads and drones from the original, the result has taken the '94 version to the next level.

Flatliner - Let's Go (EQ Remix)
Michael Flatliner is one of the forefathers of the dance music scene, releasing music on Andy C’s RAM Records back in the early 90’s. But it was a chance encounter with Damo B’s ‘Outta Limits’ Radio Show that got him keen to produce again.
Inspired by the deeper, melodic sounds of the show, encapsulating the electro techno vibes that got him back into the studio with a fresh vision and fresh sounds. Two deep but moody slabs of heat, available on limited 180g vinyl and also digitally, this is a serious comeback. Not only that but the two tracks get remixed by some heritage producers from the hardcore jungle scene: Diplomat and EQ. Diplomat was an artist on Bogwoppa Records back in the day and more recently on Vinyl Fanatiks and Amen Brother. EQ was DJ SS’s engineer and in-house engineer for Formation Records back in the early 90s, recently back producing again with a single on Amen Brother.
This is the perfect mix of the modern world of electro and techno with the energy of the old school UK rave scene. Speaker goes BOOM! More

* Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the seminal 'Valley of the Shadows', this special edition run is presented on 180g yellow vinyl.
* In 1993, Andy C & Ant Miles set out about creating a fourth release for the newly established Ram Records, now just a year old. With Hardcore still prominent in the clubs around the world, The Touch features rollercoaster bass swoops against energetic breaks flowing around the main sung vocal "c'mon and touch me".
An early sign of the precision arrangements that became synonymous of Ram's early sound that followed over for many years. Whilst going through the remaining samples in the sampler that had not been used on the A side, the pair suddenly went on a tangent with one of the drum breaks.
Experimenting with the new time stretch function in the Akai sampler, they soon had a shuffle groove layered and moving. With Ant Miles' sculpted and edited arpeggio bell line sample, a new overall sound and vibe was beginning to emerge out of their studio Atari ST computer.
Utilising an original organic analogue string pad, the haunting sinister vibe became complete. With the vocal from the BBC QED documentary 'Glimpses of Death' - "I felt, like I was in a long dark tunnel" all that remained was one of the most memorable pounding bass lines to sit underneath it all.
The result was an instant impact on the scene, heralded as one of the first anthems of the Jungle genre. Multi award winning and the track that cemented Andy & Ant and their label Ram Records within the scene.

In 1993 Andy C & Ant Miles invited the Elevation crew to the Ram studio. Elevation was a huge rave of the early 1990's, predominantly at the Roller Express London where Andy C was already DJ'ing for owners Funky and Mike-E. Interestingly, the fifth release on Ram was the one and only time Andy & Ant produced a four-to-the-floor rhythm together. The DAT master had been missing for all these years until it was recently uncovered in the LS archives. Inspired by the legendary 'Top Buzz', this Hardcore/Jungle Techno EP has been in huge demand for Ram collectors since its release. A fitting tribute to be remastered and available on vinyl once again for the 30th Anniversary of Ram Records. This will be the final vinyl release from Liftin Spirit in the 'Ram Reloaded' series.

In 1994, Shimon made his first appearance in the Ram studio to create two tracks alongside Ant Miles. With additional production from Andy C, and the vocal sampled from the film 'Predator', Shimon's debut track soon fell into place. Highlighting the usual precision tooled breaks, synonymous with the emerging Ram style, Ant Miles's reversed bass line and stereo oscillating effects had an immediate impact on dancefloors throughout the UK, cementing Shimon as an artist to watch out for in the future. For the flipside to Predator, Ant Miles and Shimon went on a roller jungle vibe with haunting pads and slow time stretched vocals, creating a hypnotic trance state perfectly complimenting the A side.

For their follow up to the anthemic 'Valley of the Shadows' two years earlier, Ant Miles and Andy C went back in the studio under their guise 'Origin Unknown'. Firmly under the Jungle style of attack, Ant pushed the envelope and broke the mould on bass sounds, creating the first detuned wobble oscillating sine bass line. This bass effect would inspire other producers to emulate. With the famous vocal from President Nixon on the moon landing, 'For one priceless moment, all the people on this Earth are truly one', this track is one of the most cherished and globally appreciated tracks on the Ram roster to this day. For the B side, Andy C and Ant went on a haunting roller vibe complimenting the A side but retaining the space theme. The track features the Houston vocal 'Mission control' over the chopped up 'Hot Pants' drum break, starting and rewinding hit points to great effect.
In 1995, Shimon had purchased and set up his own studio around the corner in Hornchurch, and one evening went into a zone alongside Andy C. Taking the John F Kennedy vocal 'As we continue the quest for peace' and recreating his own wobble bass sound that Ant Miles had created for 'Truly One', this track hit home and smashed up all dancefloors and still does so to this day. For the second track, Shimon alongside Andy C once again broke with tradition and instead of a complimenting roller style, went on an Amen tear out dance floor smasher almost, or if not equalling the impact of the A side. This 12" cemented the partnership of Shimon and Andy C and prepared the way for later tracks such as 'Terraform' and 'Body Rock' that followed.

1995 was a huge year for Ant Miles & Andy C with new tunes exploding from their studio in Hornchurch, Essex. Once again exploiting the Amen break to the fullest with bass pounding 909's matching the transients to the rhythm exactly with the profound vocal 'What goes around comes around'. This track once again featured the Ram style hard impact drop and roll out. For the flipside 'Here and Now', Ant Miles invited his regular session singer Maxine Barden over to perform original vocals over a more melodic 'liquid' style Drum and Bass track that was awash with haunting pads and strings.

In 1995, Ant Miles and Andy C invited DJ Randall to the Ram/Liftin Spirit studio for a special collaboration 12". Randall brought many samples to the table and the new time stretch technology in the Akai sampler smashed the Amen break to pieces, creating one of the most recognised drops within the Jungle scene at the time. To complement the A side, the three artists went on a more Hardcore Junglistic attack with vocal samples from Robocop and twisting up the already legendary 'Can you feel it' sample. Also included on this release is the AWOL VIP of Sound Control which had only previously featured on the legendary AWOL LP.

'Ram Reloaded' will be a series of limited 12" vinyl from Ram's early years, re-mastered from the original DATs and presented onto our usual, high quality, heavy weight vinyl.
In 1993, Andy C & Ant Miles set about creating what was to be the seventh release on their newly established Ram Records. With Hardcore still prominent in the raves at the time, 'Beyond Bass' was their first 'Amen Break' tear up together. Featuring the Grace Jones vocal 'Annihilating Rhythm', as well as the 'Give it to me baby' sample, the instant bass drops and ambient strings and pads combination tore up dancefloors around the globe. A year on from the original, the duo revisited 'Beyond Bass', this time utilising the latest time-stretch technology in the Akai sampler by moving the pitch of the amen break in all directions. The original flip 'Killer Beat', was created from the pair going on a tangent with most of the original sounds from Beyond Bass. Andy & Ant created a darker vibe whilst pushing the envelope with the rhythms over new style oscillating bass lines. Suburban Base Records founder Danny Donnelly (Q-Bass), revisited 'Killer Beat' in 1994, resulting in a more solid and fresh approach with phasing breaks and stop effects. This remix had been in exchange for the classic 'Origin Unknown' remix of 'The Dark Stranger' which had previously been done for him on Suburban Base.

The result was an instant impact on the scene, heralded as one of the first anthems of the Jungle genre. Multi award-winning and the track that cemented Andy & Ant and their label Ram Records within the scene.

Experimenting with the new timestretch function in the Akai sampler, they soon had a shuffle groove layered and moving.
Andy C's follow up to his previous 'Bass Logic' EP came in 1993 with the title track 'Slip 'N' Slide. Retaining Hardcore elements of the era with the typical orchestra stabs dropping to the lower octaves with oscillating low sub bass lines over off beat breaks. Sonz of a Loop Da Loop Era (Danny Breaks), from the legendary record shop in Romford 'Boogie Times' was tasked with remixing Andy C's 'Bass Constructor'. Original vocals which were performed by Andy's local friend Karen, layered over African vocal sample chants. Hardcore flavours with a nod back to Eastern Promise's (RAMM2) high sub blip echoes.
Moving forward in time to 1995, Andy C smashed it out of the park with Ram's 12th release. 'Roll On' was originally the B side, but after smashing up dance floors all over the world, it became almost as anthemic as 'Valley of the Shadows'. Instantly recognisable string pad chords highlight precision tooled breakbeats of the newer Jungle genre that had emerged out of Hardcore. Heralded as a true classic from that year. 'Cool Down' was originally the A side of RAMM12, this Amen tear out track with the vocal 'cool down the dance hall' did exactly the opposite, setting dance floors ablaze with its energy and attack.

Desired State - Killer Beat (Q-Bass Remix)
Following on from the success of our 'Liftin Spirit Reloaded' vinyl series, we are pleased to announce our next project in collaboration with Ram Records. 'Ram Reloaded' will be a series of limited 12" vinyl from Ram's early years, re-mastered from the original DATs and presented onto our usual, high quality, heavy weight vinyl.

We proudly present our next venture in remastering, preserving and capturing the very beginnings of a label that has achieved levels way beyond all expectations, the multi award winning Ram Records. Established in 1992 by Andy C and Ant Miles as a home for the pair's consistent and revolutionary productions at the height of the Hardcore scene. The first release by a 16 year old Andy C, came in the form of the Sour Mash E.P. Four distinctive, rare and highly sought after tracks that were the precursor to the developing Jungle/Drum & Bass vibes they became so renowned for. Remastered from the original DAT and presented on 180g heavyweight vinyl, the Sour Mash E.P kicks off this exciting new 'Ram Reloaded' series.

'Ram Reloaded' will be a series of limited 12" vinyl from Ram's early years, re-mastered from the original DATs and presented onto our usual, high quality, heavy weight vinyl.
In 1993, Andy C & Ant Miles set out about creating a fourth release for the newly established Ram Records, now just a year old. Experimenting with the new timestretch function in the Akai sampler, they soon had a shuffle groove layered and moving. Multi award-winning and the track that cemented Andy & Ant and their label Ram Records within the scene.
