INFO
Regal drops the first remix package from his debut album featuring Slam, PTU and Boston 168.
Involve Records boss Regal presents "RWYS Remixes Pt.01" - the first installment of three immense remix packages from the Spanish techno giant's debut album, "Remember Why You Started". Recruiting international powerhouse duo's Slam, PTU & Boston 168 to rework the earth-shattering originals.
Scotland's luminary duo Slam kicks off with their edit of "She Dances Alone". The pair's distinctive tweak is the alchemization of the kick drum, pivoting into a thunderous force. The kick is paired with claps that ricochet above a determined synth line, while the low-slung baseline mists under twinkling keys and sprinklings of hoover noise, giving the rework an old school feel. Uplifting major notes inject brightness & contrast to the track, with the cunning acid line lingering 'til close.
Next, enigmatic Russian twosome PTU transform "Dealing With My Pain", a once low tempo mid-point track, into a primary dancefloor weapon. This heavily industrialised rendition utilises an incessantly deep bass drum while maintaining the commanding male vocal sample. Blistering hi-hats, and a wildly distorted synth breakdown build a brash and dubious mood. The thumping kick drum drives the track forward, looping electrical elements that ring out from ear to ear, surrounding you with wild noise and energy.
Italy's acid techno aficionado's Boston 168 step up to close with their interpretation of "Fearful Nights". In true style, the duo mould the very start of the track to blend with their signature sound. A bumping kick drum and quintessential 303 manipulate the melody, resulting in a far more venomous composition than the original. Sinister synth stabs slice through the chaos with a hi-hat and snare drum combination for extra effect. More

INFO
Regal shares the final remix EP of his debut album, "RWYS Remixes Pt.03". With reworks from Alignment, Thomas P.Heckmann, _asstnt & Roll Dann, Sita Abellan & the Involve Records head himself.
Regal's "Remember Why You Started" LP faces its final rework. The last package welcomes Regal and Sita Abellan, Thomas P.Heckmann, _asstnt & Roll Dann and Alignment to shine their production skills to the Spanish techno luminaries first album.
Regal & multi-faceted Spanish artist Sita Abellan collaborated for the rework of "Cult Of Personality". Their rendering leans heavily into the realm of electro, with heavily distorted synth lines marching through like a freight train. Darting keys rush and reverberate back upon themselves before a powerful female vocal sample takes over from the male voice that commanded the original. Germany's Thomas P Heckmann takes on "Before I Die". Heavier and beefier than the original, the kick drum and baseline of Heckmann's remix take control and dominate the landscape. He retains Pau's distinct vocals, leaving a familiar dash of the original in this bolder rework. Percussion takes a front seat in this version, with snare drums and cymbals combating the bitter main synth melody.
Straight from Madrid's underground scene are producers _asstnt & Roll Dann, who team up for the remix of "Respect". A cut up, distorted rework that grows darker and more robust throughout. Bottomless kick drums ring out, while a heavily distorted electric guitar sample brings grime and a sonic haze to the track. The American male vocal sample is kept on from the original and remains even more powerful in it's reworked state than before. Italian producer Alignment wraps up with the accurately placed track "The Last Dance". In this final remix of the series the kick drum received a complete overhaul, instantly pivoting the track into a darker place. Only the curious melodic key sequence pours light into the track and brings with it an overwhelming sense of positivity to the closer. The baseline backs up the melody before percussion breakdowns take centre stage and the two fight for dominance until the final beat. More

INFO
Involve Records boss Regal presents "RWYS Remixes Pt.02", containing four edits of his debut album from JKS, Ellen Allien, Clouds & Lady Starlight.
Regal drops the second remix EP from three packages lined up on his Involve imprint, "RWYS Remixes Pt.02". He invites some of techno's finest producers to rework his debut album, including JKS, Ellen Allien, Clouds & Lady Starlight.
Parisian Producer JKS takes on Regal & Z.I.P.P.O's track "Run" for the opener. Modifying the pads, he emits an elongated, ravey sound that's accompanied by a vast emphasis on the original samples. He uses the vocals to redirect the track after each command, veering through drum patterns, menacing 303's and clattering rhythms. Following is almighty German force Ellen Allien, with her equally ferocious rendition of "Dungeon Master". She shifts the original arrangements by injecting wavering synths and bubbling chords. A rounded kick drum gallops throughout, marrying the psychedelic realm created by Allien with the track's original demonic flare.
Revered Scottish duo Clouds are next with their concoction of "Requiem from a friend". Originally a melancholic and dubious cut from Regal and pianist Fabrizio rat, Clouds transform the wistful keys and understated synths into deep, howling sonics with sharp, stabbing spasms. They accentuate the kaleidoscope elements and maintain the disordered kick-drum, adding weight, a trippy vocal and spacey pads. NYC producer Lady Starlight closes with "Burning Old Idols". Maintaining a number of elements from Regal's composition, she manages to amplify the powerfulness of the track. A deeper kick and the ascended pitch of the 303's churns out a robust and tenacious sound, perfectly maintaining energy until the close. More

A1. From Other Sounds
A2. From Other Sounds (Radio Slave Remix)
B1. Did You See It
B2. Slab
INFO:
Having earned himself the status as one of Madrid's hottest techno-exports, Regal is back on Figure with a special EP comprising both new works from him plus two creative re-interpretations by none other than Radio Slave.
Original and remix rub shoulders on the record's A-side, both revolving around its enticing vocal hook. While Regal employs a skipping beat and skittish percussion to conjure up an air of mystery, Radioslave crawls down further the rabbit's hole and uncovers the track's slumbering lunatic qualities.
On the flipside Regal is back in full control, albeit this time operating in a framework a tad more housy than usual: snappy snares slice up the bubbling acid-line on the fast whirling while it's eponymus vocal sample ironically asks 'Did you see it?'. Equally aptly-titled Slab barges right in, wielding hefty drums and a bassline that oozes groove out of every loop.
As part of the digital release, the EP comes with another atmospheric Radioslave-rework of From Other Sounds, leaning on the ambient and heavy on the subs - one for the headz!

Acidboy - Make Regal Great Again
(RED vinyl, part 1 of 2) Known for his pivotal role in the Acid Techno sub-genre revival through his label, Involve Records, Regal's latest work revisits the genre's essence while infusing it with a fresh, modern twist. Under his ACIDBOY alias, his latest album, 'The Final Chapter', is a nostalgic and forward-looking expression of an artist who has grown and adapted but remains true to his core musical identity.

B4. ACIDBOY - Make Regal Great Again
This eleven-track project blends the high-energy sounds that first defined his career with the depth and maturity gained over years of evolution whilst also honouring an unforgettable era of one of electronic music's boldest and most expressive sub-genres and artists.
'The Final Chapter' is an album that goes against the current flow, bringing to light the sound of the sub-genres of Techno from the last 35 years. It's a clever balance between past and present, the old and new Regal aka ACIDBOY, emphasising his introverted artistic side, a lover of music and production as well as a story intended for a patient and cultured listener. The album defies superficial musical trends, offering a profound sonic experience that invites listeners on a deeper journey, far removed from the quick-hit tracks designed for social media.
The name of this album and Regal's previous EP 'The Last Summer' certainly leaves room for interpretation as these might sound like signs of a farewell to the music scene.

Involve Records presents two electrifying reworks from Spaniards Regal and Andres Campo that pay tribute to the iconic classic 'Asi Me Gusta A Mi' by Chimo Bayo, an emblem of the legendary 'Ruta del Bakalao' movement in the 90's in Spain.
Regal's "La Ruta" remix cleverly nods to the movement's history and reimagines the track with his signature acid touch. The distinct 303 sounds add a layer of driving intensity, capturing the essence of Regal's unparalleled production prowess. On the flip side, Andres Campo, resident of Spain's legendary nightclub Florida 135, gives his remix a mesmerising rhythm by seamlessly integrating the original's lyrics into a pattern of alternating heavy kicks and distorted machine sounds, bridging nostalgia and innovation.

Regal's rework of the techno classic Acid War by D.O.M. gives the original a twist and perfectly lives up to its name with an anthem-like acid line that blows of the roofs of warehouses it can be played at. Up next is a remake of UMEK's Benozal - a groovy and hypnotic banger perfect for sweaty bunkers. Stay Up Forever hit Acid War opens the back side, an ageless Acid classic from 1994 celebrating its 28th birthday this year. Closing the EP is the remaster Benozal, the B-side of UMEK's third Primate Recordings EP, a trippy techno jewel from 2001.

More
