Eight cellos offer a multitude of possibilities between the bass and the high: "Sometimes, we have the impression that they can be brass or electric guitars..."
The choice of songs is quick, between classics and more recent favorites: The principle of a good cover is that the song becomes yours. I grab the song in voice-guitar, I find the tonality that suits me, I try to change the tempo..." At the risk of making a light song much deeper, or offering a light touch to certain melancholic titles, thanks to a long-formed sound but of an immediate spontaneity, raw without being abrupt, crystalline without being smooth.

Senegalese singer Faada Freddy releases a new album entitled "Golden Cages" after a seven-year hiatus. With an organic approach, he uses mainly his voice, hand-clapping and body percussion. The album features original tracks that reflect his critical yet benevolent thinking, tackling themes such as the standardization of thought, lack of reflection and dehumanization in today's society. Faada Freddy defends the idea of freedom, combining conscience and emotion, reflection and wonder. The album also celebrates the singer's African roots and expresses his attachment to his country and continent. "Golden Cages" is an ode to freedom and harmony, a vibrant love song for overcoming divisions.

Imany is back with her third studio album VOODOO CELLO, where she chooses to gather eight cellos around her for an album of covers that become, without forgetting their roots, Imany's songs at the service of her own convictions.
Eight cellos offer a multitude of possibilities between the bass and the high: "Sometimes, we have the impression that they can be brass or electric guitars..."
The choice of songs is quick, between classics and more recent favorites: The principle of a good cover is that the song becomes yours. We called each on these titans to anoint “MZ” into the modern pantheon of club anthems, and you can bet your last eurobond that they delivered. But we also wanted some new blood, so we turned to rising Lithuanian superstar DJ JM. Frankfurt-based producer, multi-instrumentalist, and DJ Benedikt Montiel Mathews is set to release his debut LP in August 2025 in collaboration with Jazz Montez. Fusing Jazz, Funk, Electro, House, and Techno, the album reflects Benedikt’s genre-bending sound and unique musical voice — shaped by his skills on keys, trombone, guitar, bass, and vocals.

Debut LP by Benedikt Montiel Mathews
Frankfurt-based producer, multi-instrumentalist, and DJ Benedikt Montiel Mathews is set to release his debut LP in August 2025 in collaboration with Jazz Montez. Fusing Jazz, Funk, Electro, House, and Techno, the album reflects Benedikt’s genre-bending sound and unique musical voice — shaped by his skills on keys, trombone, guitar, bass, and vocals.
The record will be released on vinyl and accompanied by a music video and a release gig on August 31st, where Benedikt will curate and DJ the entire night. Expect rich textures, danceable grooves, and a fresh perspective from one of Frankfurt’s most exciting young talents.
