Blueprint are pleased to announce 'Pluralism', the latest EP from Berlin based techno protagonist and Blueprint affiliate Sigha. Sigha is a name that has become synonymous with forward thinking techno and electronic music. His interest in immersive sound design and experimentation combined with a staunchly British take on the genre have helped him carve a unique path through a densely populated field. Having first cut his teeth on acclaimed imprint Hotflush Recordings as well as his own branded label Our Circula Sound, Sigha then fomented a relationship with Blueprint since his 2011 EP I Am Apathy, I Am Submission. Now 2015 sees a return to Blueprint with ‘Pluralism’. Opening track, ‘Pluralism’ is rife with melodic glitches and punchy bass. Beautifully dark, immersive and hypnotic, ‘Desire’ hits the middle ground where techno meets drone, and ‘Demonstration’ is geared towards the final assault on the dancefloor, when techno feels like the only coherent medium of communication. Sigha returns to Avian for his first release of 2015, with a distillation of the processes that made up 'The Purification Loops', also released on Avian in 2014. Written shortly after this release, 'Techno Derivatives' continues its concept of rite, ritual and repetition, setting stuttered rhythm and synth work against a backdrop of low end hum.

This April James Shaw follows last years caustic A Vision of Love project with a debut release as Sigha for Avian, blurring the lines between the dance floor and the ritual chamber. Over the course of six tracks scuffed rhythm and analogue bleed blend together, combining a techno aesthetic with something more primal. The tracks both lean on club tradition and abandon it, veering away from standard structure in places, in favour of fragmentation and prolonged repetition.

After an outstanding pack of 12-inches for Scuba's Hotflush Recordings, London DJ and producer Sigha a.k.a James Shaw confidently returns to the label with his heavily anticipated debut LP, 'Living WIth Ghosts'. For this offering he presents twelve impressive techno and ambient productions and fuses his love of classic UK techno with the contemporary sound that currently pulses through Berlin’s Berghain. Since his 2009 debut on the label, Sigha has organically shifted further and further into the straight 4/4 realm of techno, embracing the subterranean, darker soundscapes of his new production homebase, Berlin. However, hiding under all that bass, one can still hear the whisper of many long forgotten shoegaze numbers - My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth and Slowdive, some of Sigha's heaviest influences, vibrate throughout. Years of playing guitar in London bands defined Sigha's musical start and gave him an ear for the emotive. He was able to merge both worlds after quite literally stumbling across techno by chance, igniting his love of electronic music. Ever since, he's expertly navigated the halls of UK Garage and dub,

Hotflush presents the return of Sigha with a new EP entitled ?Abstractions I-IV?, his sixth on the label. Hotflush presents its fifth release from rising producer Sigha. This EP continues his progression into subterranean techno hauntings. Back to normal releases now for Blueprint after the final instalment of Regis and Ruskin's Post-Traumatic Son project. Emerging from the more experimental side of the Dubstep scene in late 2008 with a number of releases on the much lauded Hotflush Recordings imprint, Sigha’s sound has evolved into a deep, dark, introspective take on Techno. He has also worked with Echocord, Metalheadz and Immerse among others and runs the ‘Our Circula Sound’ label.
