Lea Lisa - Poem For The Lost Souls (Broken Mix)
3
Lea Lisa - Poem For The Lost Souls (Kuniyuki Version)
4
Lea Lisa - Poem For The Lost Souls (Session Victim Version)
Gatefold Cover, Double-12”
Tracklist:
A Original Mix (08:55 min)
B Broken Mix (08:39 min)
C Kuniyuki Version (09:26 min)
D Session Victim Version (06:51 min)
Following well-regarded outings on Phonica Records and Wolf Music, and a superb "Many Shades Of House" compilation released this year, Lausanne-based Lea Lisa joins Smallville Records this June with ‘Poem For The Lost Souls’, accompanied by remixes from Kuniyuki and Session Victim as a special Double-12“ package with Gatefold Cover.
For these tracks, Lea Lisa has worked with several musicians in the studio to transform the warmth and organic feel of real instruments into her musical universe. The original mix of ‘Poem For The Lost Souls’ leads, a jazzy house journey that ebbs and flows through fluttering flute melodies, ethereal chords, wandering piano and funk-infused bass grooves running atop organic percussion and disco tinged drums. On the B Side, the ‘Broken Mix’ follows, as the name would suggest, rhythmically shifting focus towards off-kilter drum breaks alongside the other melodies and again - all the ingredients that make a classic house track.
Opening the C-side on record 2, acclaimed Japanese artist and Mule Musiq regular Kuniyuki steps up to rework ‘Poem For The Lost Souls’, in typical fashion the Sapporo born producer extracts the core grooves from the original and shapes it into something uniquely his own, laden with warmth, soul and dynamics. The duo Session Victim then round out the release on Side D with their interpretation, fusing together the original synth melodies with their own amalgamation of intricately intertwined keys and atmospherics, underpinned by a shuffled rhythm section and bouncy low-end drive.
It’s coming with a gatefold cover-artwork by Stefan Marx for a cherry-blossom glimpse of Yoyogi Park in Tokyo.
Tracks written & produced by Lea Lisa
Flute by Thibaut Martinez - recorded at Magneto Studio / Lausanne, Additional Synth By Bayron, Piano by Joseph Miller
Additional production and remix on Side C by Kuniyuki Takahashi
Additional production and remix on Side D by Hauke Freer & Matthias Reiling

Lea Lisa - Love To The End (Manchester Club Mix)
2
Lea Lisa - Love To The End (Sunset Mix)
After her stunning release on our deeper House focused Karakul label, we are over the moon to welcome back Swiss producer Lea Lisa on our main Phonica imprint.
The ‘Love To The End EP’ takes influence and inspiration from a particular early 90s UK Techno rarity by Mark Goddard titled ‘The End’ (The Truth EP), a beautiful and emotive take on the classic sound of UK Techno that’s been much loved and highly sought after for decades, even being a particular favourite of Aphex Twin. It’s an ode to the original, rather than a remix or cover. The two mixes re-imagine the sound of soulful and deep Techno, combining driving basslines and drum machine grooves with atmospheric and nostalgic synth lines.
On the A-Side’s ‘Manchester Club Mix’, the focus is laser focused on peaktime dancefloors with a slowly building level of euphoria matched with rolling drums until the breakdown chills the mood and the plucky, earth shaking bassline returns before the tension is released and the melodies float effortlessly around the pounding rhythm.
Over on the B-Side, the ‘Sunset Mix’ jacks up the drums with kicks and claps that shake your spine. The bassline rolls steadily throughout the mix but the melodic lines this time are more restrained, introspective and subtle, echoing and harking to past rave memories with ease... More

Lea Lisa - Something For The Dancers (Kerri Chandler Dark mix)
For a label so ingrained in house music like WOLF, to release a standout remix from the legendary Kerri Chandler, alongside two deep and intricate Lea Lisa originals, is a key moment even for these mainstays of the scene.
On the one-to-watch list for those in the know, Lea Lisa’s releases on Mona Musique, Memories and Chez Damier’s Inner Balance Recordings, alongside her role within the INNERDISC.fr record store family outline a passion and desire that flows through everything she does.
Showcasing her unquestionable talent, ‘Something For The Dancers’ is a soulful and emotive journey layered with weighty synth lines, dream-like pads and powerful bass tones. An introspective plunge into the night, operatic vocal washes and masteful Rhodes touches add an extra ethereal edge to this seriously accomplished track - one that wouldn’t be out of place in Kerri’s own discography.
Hence why Kerri’s remix works so seamlessly. It’s instantly recognisable in classic Kerri style - a shuffling garage house beat blending beneath sustained string synths and signature stabs, with the man himself even stepping up to bless the mic. A heavenly slice of house that could easily stand side-by-side with the cream of his ‘90s output.
Also on offer Lea Lisa presents ‘From Garage’, a sultry combination of sensuous vocals, analogue keys and thumping percussion, that’s another clear nod to the scene’s originators and one that proudly completes the latest piece of her’s, WOLF’s and Kerri’s legacies.

Vinyl Only. Fresh from releases on the legendary Vibraphone and Robsoul labels, alongside their own long-running Bosconi imprint, Fabio Della Torre & Ennio Colaci aka Minimono join the Inner Balance family for an EP of four fine house dishes. Each cut gives us a different taste of classic house, from the sharp Melchior shuffle of 'Goblin' to the sweet rhodes and walking bassline of 'On The Edge', which wouldn't sound out of place in the Fair Park catalogue. 'Still Alive' is a light confection of soft pads topped with subtle improvisations, while 'This Side Of The Forest' delivers a more flavoursome Sir Lord Commix-style groove. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Vinyl only. Inner Balance welcomes French duo Arcarsenal, whose super-refined analog improvisations have found premium company on labels like Finest Hour, Underground Quality and their own Bass Cadet Records. Meditative, cyclical, distilled grooves with a fierce low-end are the order of the day, placing this EP squarely in the nearly 25 year-old lineage drawn from Maurizio through Bluetrain and Thor and in to the bags of the Verveines and Cloutiers of today. Whether it’s the reverb-laden soundscapes of the A-side or the loopy mind-traps on the flip, these four tracks will animate and intrigue in equal measure.

keumel - Space Birds
French producer Keumel makes a poised vinyl debut on the Inner Balance imprint, with three originals of fine skipping house and a remix by Imprints head Domenico Rosa. “Laïka” is an afternoon space-walk in the vein of vintage Derek Carr, its synths, hats and mid-track acid line surfing light and breezy over a scudding, bumping bassline. Rosa’s remix strikes a more contemplative note by placing a soft breakbeat under the acid line and airborne pads. “No Chill” is a fast-tempo stripped-down house jam that kicks to the sound of the label’s father figure Chez Damier and his contemporaries. “Space Birds” rounds out the EP by building a slowburn groove out of which a lightly-warped acid line slinks part-way through.
