We need to go way back to 1988, this is when the Bologna based seminal Label ‘Irma Records’ released its first single ‘First Job’ by Kekkotronics & LTJ.
It's been 30 years since that day and the sound first introduced by the Label back then is now coming back as strong as ever, mainly rediscovered by
those who lived through that era and the younger generation in love with dance music and House Music in general.
Among those who wrote the history of the Italian House scene, the one and only Carlo Troja, aka Don Carlos was definitely at the helm. In 1991, Irma
Records released it’s first single ‘Alone’, which immediately became a cult record for British DJs but mainly American DJs. Its particular soft and ambient
sounds defined a genre that was then called ‘Paradise House’.
And it is from this very sound and from this great DJ that Irma Records begins the celebrations for its 30th anniversary, offering some classic cuts from
it’s catalogue carefully selected by DJ Don Carlos, trying to dig between some of this music style gems, and especially some tracks that were always played
in his glorius DJ Sets but were less popular at the time of their releases.
The compilation comes out as a Digital version, a Double CD, both formats including 22 Tracks and a triple vinyl version that includes 18 tracks.

In the world of Dance, the 90s were characterized by the worldwide explosiion of House Music. Among the protagonists many were artists and producers of Italian origin and this sub-genre was called Italo House. This double vinyl collection contains 12 classic songs from that magical period, all in the original 'full version', by: Don Carlos, Soft House Company, Double Dee, Tameka Starr, Key Tronics Ensemble, Omniverse, Jestofunk, Riviera Traxx, Kipper, Aritmya, Be Noir e Bossa Nostra. Originally released in 1994 on Calypso Records / Irma Records in a triple vinyl promo white label version, Don Carlos's album Aqua is the
second album by the Varese-based DJ producer, already then known for his first two singles Alone and Mediterraneo, then both included in
his first album entitled Mediterraneo and released only in Compact Disc format in 1992 for the American market printed and distributed by
IRMA U.S.A., the American subsidiary of IRMA Records Italy.
The same fate will also have the Compact Disc format of the Aqua album, again printed only on the American market.
But the triple vinyl, printed in a limited edition of 500 copies in a white generic envelope, was never reissued and has become a rare record
over the years.
After almost thirty years, after countless requests for reissues, especially in the last few years in which the name and music of Don Carlos
has made a comeback, Irma Records has decided to reissue the vinyl in exactly the same original triple version.
DJ Don Carlos (born Carlo Troja) with his productions in the 90s has become one of the cult producers for DJs around the world.
His track Alone released in 1991 for Calypso was and still is one of the classics of House Music, played by all the major American and British
DJs.
At the time of its publication it was considered an underground song and therefore did not sell very much, but over the years its myth has grown
thanks to its subsequent productions as for example his second single, the EP entitled Mediterraneo, title which it will then inspired his first CD
album printed in the USA with the same title.
Several other singles followed, another album, always printed only in the USA, entitled Aqua, from which a triple promo vinyl was extracted which
today is one of the artist's most requested rarities.
In Italy his third album was released in 2002 entitled The Music In My Mind where Kim Mazelle, Michelle Weeks, Taka Boom and Kevin Bryant
were present as vocal guests. In 2009 a collection of the first two albums released in the USA titled Mediterraneo-Club Favourite Collection '90-
98 and in 2010 his fourth album entitled The Cool Deep which reproduced the sounds closest to his first productions.
Also active as a remixer for Italian and international labels, one of his most important works is the remix of Byron Stingily of the song You Make
Me Feel of which he made a worldwide hit. As a producer he also used other pseudonyms such as Montego Bay, Aquanuts, Sotterranea and
Love 2 Love Orchestra. He has played and plays in different countries such as London, New York, Miami and at various festivals, such as the
Robot and the Stickermule Festival in an evening with Apparat, Derrick May, DJ Koze, Lil 'Louis, Young Marco and Ellen Allien, LTJ Xperience More

Italo-House classic “Tumbe” released in 1992 on Irma Records with Murk edits is here again with new fresh remixes.
Cesare Collina aka Tito Valdez and Umberto Damiani join forces 30 years ago to make “The big nowhere” version; with percussions played by Cesare, tropical voices and trancy pads.

On the remixes duties we have legendary Riviera hero Ricky Montanari, Dirty grooves master LTJ and the young House head Hill.
Ricky found an unreleased remix jam of “Tumbe” he did in the 90s with his classic Riviera Traxx groove which doesn’t need any presentation.

LTJ made a slow version with his unique beat, accompanied by atmospheric pads, lovely electric guitar riff and classic Rhodes.
Hill made a Paradise mix with dreamy Pianos, funky bassline and old school strings which goes to close this record in the best way. More

This compilation had a great response and it was decided to make a volume 2, always selected by Don Carlos. Also this compilation, like the first one, consists of two compact discs and a vinyl version this time with a selection of only 8 of the 20 tracks contained in the CD and Digital version. All the tracks on the double vinyl have been re-edited by Don Carlos for the occasion. The double cd is in a limited numbered edition. Since it was released in 2012 this album by Luca Trevisi aka LTJ Xperience has entered the cult records for all lovers
of this kind of Dance Music called Nu Disco.
The song that gives the title to the album in particular was the first for weeks in the sales of the most important digital
stores in the sector.
In the playlists of some important American DJs you can still listen to the songs like People's, Organ MInd, Time Has
Been Now.
After the limited editions in a single mix version of some of these songs, now sold out, now we publish, always in limited
edition, the complete print of the album with 8 tracks in double numbered vinyl version.
Luca LTJ Trevisi (LTJ Xperience) was born as a producer DJ at the end of the 80s. Resident first at the Kinki Club of
Bologna and then at the Cap Creus of Imola, he is one of the first Italian DJs to program house and above all to propose
Black Music, Jazz and Latin Bossa, all the genres that then started Acid Jazz and Nu Jazz.
He began his work as an artist and producer with Irma Records and in the 90's start also his activity as an international
dj that he bring him to played at the Blue Note and at the Jazz Café in London, at the Giant Steps in New York and at
the Jazz Festival in Montreaux.
In 1999 he released the first solo album in the name of LTJ Xperience. To date he has released 6 albums, many singles
and remixes also collaborating with international labels such as Far Out Recordings, Sleazy Beats, Future Classics,
E.A.R., Music For Dreams, Apersonal Music. More
